One, that his car is Lexus SC (and not a Toyota Soarer) and two the fact that he does indeed daily drive it like it as it appeared in the photo.

I’m not even sure why the first item is up for dispute, Alex owns the car so if he says it is a Lexus SC400 then it is a Lexus SC400, and for proof of the other disputed item he sent in some more photos.

The XXRs are old news so that is why they now see winter duty.

Brian’s Eclipse Spyder GT

Before Brian sent in his Eclipse Spyder I can’t recall coming across too many others online.

This generation just didn’t seem to take off like the one before it but Brian saw the potential and has dropped his car on Megan coils, installed Eibach camber bolts, and slapped on a set of 17×10 XXR 527s with 215/40 tires.

Lee’s F150

Lee sent in another platform I don’t see much of, a 1995 F150. He has already dropped he truck 5 inches (they come pretty high) and says that next season when he gets new wheels he plans to go lower.

Lee hails from a small Iowa farming town so I am pretty sure his truck raises a few eyebrows.

He says most of the other vehicles in his town are all lifted 4x4s…

Jeremy’s X-Runner

Keeping the outside of the box platform going a little bit more here is Jeremy’s Tacoma X Runner that he picked up after moving on from his b16 swapped CRX.

It sits on 20s has been dropped 4″ in the front and 3″ in the rear. He has also installed a short shifter, CAI, and extensive stereo.

He sent the email awhile back but he did also mention a few future plans….

Colin has been reading for awhile now and actually a friend of John (with the wide body Mazda 3). A few months ago he sent in some photos of his s2000 and the CF front end and bolt on rear flares instantly grabbed my attention.

Zend’s 2001 BMW 540i

Zend was actually one of the first people to send in his car via email and is a fellow maxbimmer member.

Before he moves on from this car (which also happens to be his first) to his dream car (a 2003 M5) Zend plans to squeeze as much fun out of his 540i as possible.

A couple of bolt-on under the hood  along with HR coils and 19×8.5 19×10 Linea Corse LeMans wheels make up the current list of modifications, though he is hoping to add a supercharger before things are all said and done.

Sean’s Lancer GTS

Sean lives about 45 minutes from me but I think he could cover the distance much faster than I could because a) my car is wood and b) he has done quite a few performance modifications to his GTS.

The most significant under hood addition would have to be the snail amd Sean informs me that it is first (and only) N/A to turbo converted Lancer GTS in Canada.

The mods list on this car is quite extensive so if you are interested in reading everything that has been done check out his build thread.

Spence sent his OEM+ styled touring with a little bit of bad news. After dropping it on KW’s, and adding m6 replica wheels the car was involved in some sort of fiasco involving two teenagers and a deer.

The car didn’t survive, bummer.

Once he took care of the generous factory wheel gap Alex mounted a set of pristine looking 17×8 RH zw1 wheels that are a great match to this cars factory two tone paint.

In addition to a few subtle exterior modifications Alex put some bang in the doors and trunk with components from DLS and JVC.

Neil basically got the jump on all of us this year in regards to winter preparation because his car has been setup like this since September.

Though if my winter mode looked this good I wouldn’t feel too bad about being extra early with the switch over either.

Of course the real reason for the early switch was more necessity than vanity because Neil splits his time between here and England so he needed the car to be ready for the slippery white stuff when he returns.

Until then it just on the floor waiting.

Neil also sent a couple pics of upcoming modifications for 2012 and based on what I saw (and his previous car) I think a 2012 shoot is in order.

If it really snows next week feel free to blame me for jumping the Winter Wednesdays gun.

Both the car and the video are simple and to the point, and while dimaekimov didn’t attach much info about the car he did include a few static shots of it from the video.

Phil started this build right where the Ford factory left off by installing a group of go fast modifications to the already supercharged Cobra from manufacturers such as: BilletFlow , JLT, Bassani, Steeda, LFP  and Innovative.

Now the car now puts down a healthy 480 or so horsepower which means that the same people quick to share their dislike for this car on other blogs and forums secretly wish they could run with it on the highway.

Suspension wise the home built, no corners cut, Accuair/Ride-tech air install is sure to not only satisfy the ‘moar lows’ crowd but also please those who live by the phrase built not bought.

This suspension, which is the most recent modification done to the car, was carefully researched before hand to ensure that it both looked and performed better than the Cobra coupe suspension that preceded it.

Finally the aptly named CCW Classic wheels are sure to keep the wheel aficionados at bay because the timeless design of these high polished wheels suit the car perfectly, and the 275/295 tires that wrap these18x9 and 18×11 inch wheels are a direct nod to this Cobras performance roots.

If this car were described only by it’s stand out features, the CCWS, air ride, and boost would a Mustang be the image most conjured up? Probably not.

His season started off great with a high profile feature, and ended even better with the opportunity to showcase his car alongside Liberty VIP in the lobby at Importfest.

Between working on his car, helping out behind the scenes at events, and bringing steak to grill on my BBQ Aidan also managed to squeeze in some time to do the following video with local videographer Misha Frolov.

If you have seen this car in person you know that photos don’t really do it justice so seeing it get shine time like this is awesome.

Like a lot of us Aidan has a few plans up his sleeve for 2012 but I am not about to spoil them (unless he gives me the green light).

As for the man behind the lens Misha is gearing up to do more video work and judging by this and his last video I can only assume he will be busy next year.

Somehow the car ended up getting lost in the shuffle of event coverage until I was reminded of it yesterday.

Looking at the car once again I think I should be smacked for letting it slip because the owner Alexander has done quite a bit to this car to get it looking as nice as it does now.

Like a lot of us the first thing Alexander did was slap on some lowering springs and call it a day.

Of course a few months later 40mm lower than stock on stock wheels seemed a little mundane so Ta-Technix coils cranked all the way down found their way under the car along with 14×9 O offset steel wheels that were shortly replaced with the current Schmidt TH Lines.

A few dozen cosmetic modifications on the inside and outside later (outlined below) Richards got a car that has taken best stance and best VW awards at shows in Sweden.

A reader of a few months Richard got in touch recently about running some photos of his car from a shoot with Jalle Graphics.

His car is a 1.6 SR that has been brought down with TA Technix coils, footwear is 17 x 8.5″ and 17×10 OZ Futura wheels with Kumho 195/40 and 215/40 tires.

Body mods have been kept pretty simple as he is an OEM+ kind of guy, and additions include an oem hood bra, Golf GTI rear tails, and a 25th anniversary front valence.

Richards future plans include spinning the coils down a bit more, getting yet another new skid plate, 25th anniversary side skirts, an ecu tune, and a new color for the face of those OZs.

They are simply brand loyal car enthusiasts not unlike those who are into Hondas or Fords.

Minutes into a conversation with Richie it is easy to tell that he is an avid Mercdes Benz enthusiast who is also a huge fan of low tastefully modified cars.

Richie’s attraction to the MB brand started at a young age when his father purchased at 1991 S-Class straight off the lot to replace his 1986 Nissan 300zx turbo.

The passion his dad had for the car was passed down to Richie (along with the car) and while he drove the S-Class throughout College he realized that though Mercedes got a lot of things right from the factory there were a few things he could improve on.

Instead of modifying a refined classic like the S-Class Richie opted to park that piece of his families history (which now only appears to take top honors in concurs shows in the GTA) and pick up an SLK350.

After he got the car the factory ride height was one of the first things he addressed, initially dropping the car with Eibach springs and then shortly there after going lower with a set of H&R coilovers.

Now sitting low with lots of room to go lower (these pics have the coils nearly all the way up) Richie noticed that the AMG wheels looked pretty great at factory height but simply didn’t cut it as summer wheels at the cars new altered stance.

The wheels that soon found there way on the car (then back off the car for a refinish and then on the car once more) are a set of 19″ Sonic Tuning ST160 concave mesh wheels at 8.5 and 9.5 (et35) widths.

These wheels have 235/35 and 245/35 tires mounted to them and thanks to Curbed now painted hyper silver and have machined faces which give them that extra bit of pop without putting them over the top.

In addition to the drop and wheels Richie has also added a custom exhaust and a smart top roof control module that allows him to drop the top via his remote FOB.

The fact that this car look so good with so little means that the sky is the limit to what Richie can continue to improve on, and as the owner and administrator of  Mercedes Enthusiast board PureMB.com his source of inspiration for both his current car and any MBs in the future is nearly limitless. In fact the wheels you currently see on the car are up for sale as Richie has a little something more planned for 2012.

With a long winter ahead and a strong community to influence him don’t be surprised if Richie debuts something completely different for 2012.

Thanks to Richie for letting me shoot his car on what was quite possibly the last warm weekend of 2011, can’t wait to do it again next year.

The 300zx is just another example of Nissan’s capability to build a solid RWD coupe and the Z32 specifically is a car I wish I saw more of both online and in person so when Darren sent his own 2+2 by my interest was peaked.

Based in California Darren kept things pretty simple on the outside of his 300zx (the body doesn’t really need much help anyway) and focused most of his efforts towards the drive line and suspension.

Under the hood he has added a pop charger and Powertrix grounding kit in addition to a Apexi Super megaphone exhaust. While the suspension has the works thanks once again to Powertrix (coils, tension rods and strut bar).

Wheel wise he looked to stance friendly brand XXR and picked up a set of their 512′s at 18×10 all around spaced to an offset of 0.

The result of these modifications is a simple straight forward lady in red.

I am sure you do because for many of us this wasn’t just our first car it was our key to independence and no matter how hard we try it’s impossible to ever re create that connection again.

While for some reason or another many of us have parted with our high school cars Randy is one of few who was able to hold onto their high school car long enough to turn it into something more than just an alternative to taking the bus.

Randy’s striking Prelude was recently posted in the Prelude Theme Tuesday and while you wouldn’t be able to tell now this car came from incredibly humble beginnings originally purchased as a way to get Randy to and from his job.

While at that time money wasn’t great Randy was able to do a few modifications to the car (Tein S-Techs, JDM fogs, and an AEM CAI) however shortly after getting started Randy realized that modifying a car and putting himself through college didn’t leave him with a lot of cash flow.

So even though he was just at the beginning of the build he decided to put car modifications on hold and focus on getting through college both academically and financially.

This turned out to be a wise choice because anytime he had a spare moment in College he planned what he wanted to do to his car once he left.

Once he was able to put long nights and finals behind him Randy capitalized on his research and took his car from nearly stock to what you see today.

Along the way he also ended up meeting a group of  enthusiasts who helped him learn to do a lot of the work to the car himself and he is quick to admit that without the help of this group of friends known as ‘TBB’ his car simply wouldn’t be what it is now.

Currently driving one of the cleanest fifth generation Preludes around Randy is happily enjoying the fruits of his labor recently being featured on Prelude Power and entering two local shows.

Randy hopes to achieve more with his car in the future and with his mindset,  determination, and network of friends, I only see great things to come for this already fantastic looking Prelude.

Andre, who is from Brazil, got hooked on clean, low, cars fast thanks to international forums like NASOIC and blogs like this one. Once the bug bit it wasn’t long until Impreza was on sitting much closer to the earth.

Andre started things off with a great canvas, the deep burgundy paint on his Impreza isn’t a color you see often which meant it was just a few quick modifications away from being a real head turner.

Andre switched up the front end of his Subaru with a Trial style hood (equipped with 22b vents), an HTAuto grill, and retro fitted headlights alongside clear corners and turn signals.

He also bolted up a custom lip under the bumper to help emphasize the healthy static drop on the car that was achieved not by coil overs but instead with via custom rated springs and dampers.

In Brazil this type of suspension is called ‘fixa’ and is done by those who love to ride low 24/7 and 365 days of the year.

With the car nice and low Andre put on a set of STI side skirts to bring the car even closer to hover craft status and since his attention was already focused on the sides of the car he installed Gandor style mirrors.

In the rear of the car a custom wing sits above a de-baged trunk, STI tails, and a custom rear bumper and by now you have probably already noticed that pointing out from below that bumper is a Zelo muffler which gives the stock 1.8 motor an opportunity to expel it’s gasses a little faster and louder.

For wheels Andre chose to re-drill a set of oem Evo 5 OZ Racing F1 wheels (17×7.5 et 38), which finished in gold really look like they should have been on this car from the factory.

The wheels also really bring together all of the tasteful mods Andre has done to the car.

Andre’s car is incredibly well thought out and and put together and I’m very happy to have it as an international feature here on Stance Is Everything.
