Theme Tuesdays: My Favorite Photos of 2013

3
Can't really think of a better way to send off a year of Theme Tuesday posts than with a collection of my own personal favourite photos of 2013. One day I might go back and count how many photos I take in a season, but I do know it's quite a few so narrowing down my picks was a little difficult but I am pretty happy with the list below.

Theme Tuesdays: That’s Static!? (Pt.1)

2
Weighing in on the static vs. air debate isn't really something I like to do because I feel people should get down how they get down and not worry about how, but I will say that there is something to be said for a clean static car with spot on fitment. I'm not talking cars that are easily identified as static from fifteen feet away due to smashed bumpers, questionable panel gaps, and catchy slogan covered munched quarters.

Sixteen Thousand Kilometers On Air

4
On the way back from H2O the odometer on my 2004 Mazda 3 clicked past 216,000 which means that I have now traveled roughly sixteen thousand kilometers on my Air Lift Performance suspension set-up. Since my switch to the 'darkside' via the final production prototype of Air Lift's Mazda 3 kit I've been repeatedly asked a few of the same questions about my suspension.

Event Coverage: H2O International 2013 – Pt. 4

Really can't be happier with my first trip to H2O and I'm glad to have finally gone. Thanks to Blair and Kristina for guiding the way and Shayan for riding shotgun and preventing me from dozing off and ending up shiny side down in a ditch. Going to round out the last of the coverage with a few photos from the Taphouse and a couple shots of cars that were running up and down the strip. Hopefully I'll be saying to hello to Ocean City once more in 2014!

Event Coverage: H2O International 2013 – Pt. 1

On the way to Ocean City my co-pilot and I had a lot of time to discuss just how great H2O could actually be. Previous coverage and instragram updates made it sound pretty great but we wanted to keep our expectations fairly realistic so we talked it down a tad to not be disappointed. Several hours into the drive we figured we had formed reasonable expectations but the second we turned onto the strip said expectations were blown clear out of the water by the sheer number of vehicles in Ocean City MD.

Event Coverage: Torque Modified 2013

0
I've yet to quite master the art of being in more than one place at a time and last year one of the many events that fell victim to this deficiency of mine was Torque Modified which took place the same day as Meeting Of The Mazdas. After hearing nothing but good things about the first event I shuffled some things around to make sure I could make it out the the second annual show and I wasn't disappointed in the least.

Event Coverage: Fitted Capital Tour Ottawa

0
This years GTA Fitted Lifestyle event was such a success that Dave and the guys at Stretch & Poke decided to throw a follow up event last weekend in Ottawa. As a show of appreciation to those who made the opposite trek in May the Fitted Capital Tour (held at Track Werks) used Stretch & Poke's tried and tested formula of a casual meet with a few awards.

Event Coverage: 2013 CSCS Mosport

1
With Importfest coverage just barley out the door we can move things right along with the third round of CSCS coverage for 2013. Round three took place at Mosport and while that's a venue I particularly like shooting I opted to sit things out this round because I was a little run down from a week of preparation for Importfest. Luckily I was able to find a few photographers willing to pick up my slack and judging from the photos contributed by Kevin Tam and Kenny Barnes, CSCS Mosport was a blast just like years previous.

Featured Ride: Dave’s 2004 Mazda 3

15
We read his words and see the pictures he puts up every day and it's not hard to figure out that Dave Thomas has a keen eye for what looks good when it comes to cars and trucks. After all, that's what keeps readers coming back to Stance Is Everything. What we don't often see is Dave's personal car. Not because it's not worth showing, but because there simply isn't enough room for self-indulgence with the ever-growing list of cool cars he can't wait to show us.

Event Coverage: Mega Speed 2013 – Part 2

1
Today's portion of coverage from Mega Speed 2013 focuses almost exclusively on the tuner hall which this year was fairly self contained from the rest of the show.  Apparently this was done based on feedback from last year but personally I would have liked to have been a little bit closer to the rest of the action.
