It is honestly one of the most intimidating and refined looking Subarus I have seen in a long while.

There is a lot to be said about raw looking track cars, but a car that can get down on the track and still look this good sitting still?

Built up in every way you could want (dyoned 405 at the wheels, BC/Cobb suspension, nicely balanced street/track interior) this terror is up for grabs on NASIOC for 30k or LS1 RX-7 / Porsche GT2

Last night after watching the Leafs game I didn’t feel much like finishing up some of the more obscure Theme Tuesday ideas I have in the works (ps3 was calling) so I decided to liberate some of the Subarus I’ve had saved for a while.

I seem to always have an overabundance of Subarus on my hard drive anyway.

Apologies in advance for the lack of (more) Legacy, Forrester, and Outback content in this post.

That’s not the case with  this Subaru, the owner carefully planned everything he wanted to do to change his 2010 setup.

The game plan was pretty simple restore a set of staggered BBS Super RS wheels back to their prime, select tires that would keep is all wheel drive running gear happy, and find coils that would place his car where it needed to be.

This simple plan speaks volumes of how little it takes to make a car look exceptional.

There is simply no denying that this car came together very nicely

The wheels, the height, the color, all work together so well

The fitment is great, it looks like these wheels were meant to be there

Can't wait to see more of this car

The level of cars coming from Toronto this year just keeps getting better and better.

While that doesn’t make this photo set new by any means, there is simply no way I couldn’t post photos of this car.

The exterior is clean, the stance is on point and the photographers captured the car beautifully.

I’m sure this car also has quite a bit going on inside that shaved engine bay as well which I know some you Subaru heads will appreciate.

If you are curious I am ‘The_Trail_Pimp‘ on both bikeguide and bmxboard.

Andre, who is from Brazil, got hooked on clean, low, cars fast thanks to international forums like NASOIC and blogs like this one. Once the bug bit it wasn’t long until Impreza was on sitting much closer to the earth.

Andre started things off with a great canvas, the deep burgundy paint on his Impreza isn’t a color you see often which meant it was just a few quick modifications away from being a real head turner.

Andre switched up the front end of his Subaru with a Trial style hood (equipped with 22b vents), an HTAuto grill, and retro fitted headlights alongside clear corners and turn signals.

He also bolted up a custom lip under the bumper to help emphasize the healthy static drop on the car that was achieved not by coil overs but instead with via custom rated springs and dampers.

In Brazil this type of suspension is called ‘fixa’ and is done by those who love to ride low 24/7 and 365 days of the year.

With the car nice and low Andre put on a set of STI side skirts to bring the car even closer to hover craft status and since his attention was already focused on the sides of the car he installed Gandor style mirrors.

In the rear of the car a custom wing sits above a de-baged trunk, STI tails, and a custom rear bumper and by now you have probably already noticed that pointing out from below that bumper is a Zelo muffler which gives the stock 1.8 motor an opportunity to expel it’s gasses a little faster and louder.

For wheels Andre chose to re-drill a set of oem Evo 5 OZ Racing F1 wheels (17×7.5 et 38), which finished in gold really look like they should have been on this car from the factory.

The wheels also really bring together all of the tasteful mods Andre has done to the car.

Andre’s car is incredibly well thought out and and put together and I’m very happy to have it as an international feature here on Stance Is Everything.

Well the cat’s pretty much out of the bag that this is a Monteverdi Hai 450 SS coupé so here are the un-edited photos and a little bit more information:

Painted in a unique shade of magenta, the Hai 450 SS prototype debuted at the 1970 Geneva Auto Show. It was the company’s first mid-engine design which had a huge 426 cubic inch Chrysler V8 wedged in-between the passengers. This radical specification helped the car live up to its ‘Hai’ name which stood for shark in German. ’450′ was the available horsepower and ‘SS’ or ‘Super Sports’ reflected its short wheel base.

Monteverdi initially planned to produce 49 copies, but production was halted after the two first examples. No orders rolled in probably due to the car’s huge $27 000 USD price tag. In the 1990s, Monteverdi made two replicas from spare parts that now currently reside in the official museum.

Site Updates

No events this weekend but as I mentioned yesterday I will have some Jitterbug guest coverage up tomorrow and I have a mini feature for next week that I should be wrapped up writing this weekend.

In personal news, as some of you might know, my girlfriend and I have been looking for a new dwelling and one of the places we bid on last week (it sold) had some of the largest, most incorrectly designed, speed humps I have ever encountered.

If I went on an angle by the time my rear wheel hit the bump my front wheel was already down and I would practically high side giving my exhaust quite the rubbing.

The only way I could really get through was if I let some of my wheels go through the gap in the middle (each hump is made up of two sets of humps) and then drive straight over the other one and just have my pinch welds scraped slightly.

Either way it really sucked and had we have got the place it would have put a stop on me going any lower.

Thought it might not look like it this was the BEST approach.

But since it sold, I don’t have to worry about the above monsters anymore and I ordered up what I needed from BC to go lower

It should all arrive in about 2 weeks.

When I got home I took a look at some photos he had taken of his friend Matt’s 2004 WRX, in it’s last days of winter mode, on the Toronto Subaru Club. Mild mannered employee by day, photographer by evening, comedian at night Keven is a triple threat!

This car is sitting on STI struts and RCE yellows and has the power to back up it’s aggressive look.

The second of today’s winter Subaru’s is a slammed pig nose sitting nicely on some flushed out wheels. Whether these are Rota’s or real Emotions doesn’t matter what matters is this car looks sick and the owner enjoys it.

As for here in the GTA it snowed last night which means my car got nice and dirty on the drive in this morning. Perfect!

Keven, like my girlfriend, is not new to the site at all. He has been contributing photos and Theme Tuesday ideas for awhile now, and comments quite a bit.

He was actually the photographer behind the feature on Dales 62 Impala and he was a driver/shooter for the rolling experiment shoot.

Aside from his work behind the lens he has been a big part in my continuing motivation to keep this little project going as we talk about cars basically non stop and while his current car is at stock height he has big plans for it. His old e36 high sided on a speed bump once so I know he has it in him to create another head turner.
