WTF Fridays: The Flatmobile

Microsoft must have a key logger installed on my computer because my msn keeps showing ads for this car dubbed the lowest car in the world. I have actually seen similar cars before and always sort of questioned the right to their claim since the fender to tire and ground clearance is more than a lot of cars I have seen on the street but technically yes the flat mobile is the lowest car in the world and it seems like the builder had a fun time putting this rig together.

The Flatmobile started its life as two Hillman Imps with 11 1/2 ” off the mid section and roof removed and it’s obvious its taken a few cues from the original Batmobile (ie rocket engine) however I don’t think Batman nearly burned his car to the ground.
It also caught fire during the build:

As you can see the Flatmobile is as the name states pretty flat

The driving positioning of the Flatmobile is pretty interesting, I can not imagine the bugs taste so good
