      Featured Ride: Dale’s 62 Impala

When this blog was in it's infancy I shot a quick point and shoot photo of an Impala at one of the weekly Applewood Show and Shines. I sent the picture to my friend Keven who told me that the car was actually owned by his girlfriends father Dale this set the wheels in motion to get this Impala the shine time it deserves on Stance Is Everything.

Event Coverage: Cruisin For The Cure 2009

On September 13th, the day after Import fest, the 3rd annual Cruisin' for a Cure charity car show took place at Chingauacousy park in Brampton Ontario. I have mentioned time and time again that I am a fan of charity car shows so I make a point to hit up as many as I can. Cruisin for the cure had a pretty decent turn out (although some cars had left by the time I arrived) and a few very unique cars.

      Featured Shop: Simply Tire

Some shops do great business due to great pricing, others with a wide selection of products, a few get by with good service, but a great shop does all of these things and this feature shop, Simply Tire, is one of those. My own experience with Simply Tire is proof of this since first experience with them I didn't receive my product, however what makes this so remarkable is that where other company's would have accepted one lost customer and bad review in exchange for 10 new ones Simply Tire makes sure to keep every customer they encounter no matter what the cost.

      Event Coverage: Importfest 2009

This is the first time I have been to importfest in probably 9 years. Last time I went Randys Sparres e30 was still around. This show is hyped as the biggest car show in Canada so I guess my expectations were really high. I've been to a lot of shows this summer so that lead to me having seen a lot of the cars already. However I had not seen a lot of the models already so I took lots of pictures of them to make up for it haha. Let's go.

Featured Ride: Eugene’s 1968 Pontiac Firebird

When I started this blog I had no idea where it would take me, or how often I would post, however 100 posts came up almost unexpectedly and what better way to celebrate than with a story about a full restoration done by a local car nut? The builder of this car is like me in a lot of ways he loves, BMX,Transformers, the internet industry, blogging, and fine pieces of American muscle.

      Event Coverage: Extreme Invasion

The second show I went to this past weekend was Extreme Invasion. Even though the weather was looming all day and hurt the turnout a little bit the show was still decent. The big feature at this show (at least for me) were the SPL (Sound Pressure Level) cars. Prior to this weekend I never got a chance to see one of these contests in person or sit in an SPL car and even though my ears were telling me Monday morning that was a bad idea it was still something I had to experience.

      Event Coverage: Hyper Meeting 2009

I got a chance to tag along to the Toronto Subaru Clubs Annual charity show and shine BBQ in Mississauga on Saturday with my friend Kev, I always have a good time at charity shows since everyone is friendly and in a great mood. None of that super competitive feel. It also helped that all of the winners were picked by the crowd. The weather looked pretty dodgy aft first but managed to hold out all day. Before I got my current car I was looking at Subaru's but they were just out of my price range, now I wish I saved up a little more money.

Event Coverage: Street Classics Pre 1955 Show

I have been to a few Street Classics shows before and I always have a good time so when I saw a flier for their Pre 1955, Hot Rods - Roadsters -Rat Rods, show I made sure to stick it on my fridge so I would remember to cover it.

      VAGKraft 2009 Coverage Part 1

Volkswagen owners are pretty much the originators of the slam, stretch, and poke so when I heard that Vagkraft was happening 10 minutes away from my house I had to attend. The weather once again co-operated and the turn out was great. Part one includes: mk1s, mk2s, mk3s Corrados, Sciroccos, Beatles and non vws.

Event Coverage: 6th Annual Toronto H/T

The sixth annual Toronto Honda-tech meet went down yesterday and initially the weather looked as though we would all need scuba gear to attend but it all cleared up and when I showed up around three it ended up being so hot that other than a few puddles here and there late risers would have never known it rained.

      Event Coverage: The Bimmer Experience

My gf gave me the heads up on this show last weekend, and even thought I had a lot of things going on Saturday I was able to make it out with the point and shoot and take a few photos at this charity BMW show. Though the turnout was kind of small when I was there the show had a great family/positive atmosphere it's always good to see people come out and support local events and charities.

      Build Threads

I love reading a good build thread, as a car nut I find watching someone turn a crazy idea and a heap of a car into an amazing ride really interesting. It's much easier to appreciate the finished product at a show when you know what went into it. The read is also a great way to kill a rainy afternoon and get the inspiration needed to work on your own project here are 10 my my favorites:
