The second show I went to this past weekend was Extreme Invasion. Even though the weather was looming all day and hurt the turnout a little bit the show was still decent. The big feature at this show (at least for me) were the SPL (Sound Pressure Level) cars. Prior to this weekend I never got a chance to see one of these contests in person or sit in an SPL car and even though my ears were telling me Monday morning that was a bad idea it was still something I had to experience.
Bagged/Hydraulics
Even though my mini truck dream is apparently over I still have love for bagged vehicles.
This car was on the flier so I expected it to be thereIt's a show carCrazy bagged magnum. So Much done to this carYou don't really see GTPs at shows too much let alone bagged onesProof that it was realPsssshtCG/LCC representOne of the cleanest Blazers I have ever seenThe hood was on actuators and went up and down, pretty slickThe interior was also fully done, the 4 or 5 link suspension was really well done too
Imports
I think domestics may have equaled the amount of imports at this show, weird.
If RSX's had more trunk space I would have considered themThe blue lugs to match the Volks lettering was a nice touchMugen CivcFront side of the Mugen civicSlammed, kitted PreludeWould you expect this car to be putting down 300 horse?Nah, me either, I have no idea what was under the hood as it was closedThis 5 is way lower than the last time I saw it

SPL
Probably the most unique part of this show was that they were having an SPL contest during it. It brought out a lot of cars I would not normally see

I got a chance to tag along to the Toronto Subaru Clubs Annual charity show and shine BBQ in Mississauga on Saturday with my friend Kev, I always have a good time at charity shows since everyone is friendly and in a great mood. None of that super competitive feel. It also helped that all of the winners were picked by the crowd. The weather looked pretty dodgy aft first but managed to hold out all day. Before I got my current car I was looking at Subaru’s but they were just out of my price range, now I wish I saved up a little more money.
Random
Random venue shots, mostly just the crowd.
I think it was the Subaru Canada head office but I am not sureLot full of Subarus
Stickers
As always shots of the creative stickers. I am easily amused.

I had a blast at this meet and had a lot of great BBQ to boot, I will be back next year. Thanks to the TSC and all the volunteers for putting it on.
This week I am going back to the other format of WTF Fridays and asking you, dear reader, what kind of cars these three are. Once I get some stickers made I am going to start giving them out as prizes for correct answers but until then this is just practice.
Red rocket! Red Rocket! That episode of South Park is gross. What's this though? This car means business. Any guesses? This truck isn't sold in the North American Market if that helps
This weekend I am probably going to swing by a Subaru BBQ with my homie Kev on Saturday and on Sunday I am actually in the Extreme Invasion Car show with team TorontoMazda3
Have you ever had something you wanted so bad that you kept at it longer than you really should have at the dismay of others?
You invested so much time and heart into it that you didn’t want to let it go no matter how financially stupid it was to keep pushing forward?
Well if you have you can probably relate to the story of my old truck and today’s Featured Ride.
For as long as I can remember I wanted a minitruck, bad. I don’t remember where or when I saw my first s10 Blazer but something about them was just really appealing to me.
However I didn’t realize two things going into purchasing one: older Canadian vehicles are pretty much rotten pieces of garbage, and GM quality from 1992 leave a fair bit to be desired.
After about a four month search I found a Blazer that I thought could work for a decent price and bought it from a shady used car dealership that offered to clean it up for my prior to purchased.
Below is essentially how the vehicle looked upon pick up, but washed.
The fact that the shop didn't even clean it for the ad should have been a tip
I rocked it like this for about two or three months, though I did remove all of the ventshades.
Surprisingly during this time it got stolen. It was recovered about two days later sans my skateboard.
I took this time to get an alarm installed, the rocker panels fixed, and the tints redone.
Suspension
While the truck was stock I pulled together the components I needed to put this truck as far down as I could before having to make the jump to air ride.
I purchased Belltech 3inch springs and 2 inch drop spindles for the front, and 3 inch drop leafs with matching 3 inch drop blocks for the rear.
I also got a Suicidedoors.com notch, and Belltech drop shocks to keep things sort of comfortable.
In all honesty it rode pretty bad and I didn’t care.
Rocked the 5/3 rake for some time, I had to cut the rear leafs out due to rust.Got her down to 5/6, removed the stripes and waxed and polished it You can see where the axle used to hit the frame. It still hit after the notch...
Sticker Removal/Body maintenance
Shortly after completing the suspension I noticed the error of my ways in getting the paint work done at the used car dealership.
Most of the rust was coming back and the clear coat was peeling but if I kept up with the waxing and polishing I could make it look halfway decent while I saved for a respray by Casual Customs.
Pictures from an s10 meet soon after the 5/6 drove there full truck rubbed drive shaft the whole wayRemoved the Chevrolet from the tailgate as well, I had a roll pan ready to be installed during the restoI got wingless hinges and gun metal Irocs. The BMX LIFE sticker was a birthday gift
IROCS
The tires that came with the truck were fairly poor and starting to get tumours so I bought a set of painted IROCS with all seasons.
Winter traction was still terrible but they looked pretty good on the truck.
Truck made madwhips.com which I was pretty stoked on, this picture is from thereLow all year round
The system
The system is what really made this vehicle for me, I put a lot of time and thought into making this truck sound as balanced as I could and still be practical(ish) for my uses.
This meant my bike still had to fit in the back, and multiple bikes on occasion.
This is probably what I miss about the truck most as it was the only thing done 100% to my liking.
I spent a long time getting all these components togetherMy Neighbor and I designed the setupI modified the center console to hold my ipod and cross oversThe final product turned out pretty niceMy neighbor did the vinyl and I did the stenciling and paint of the stainless steel pieces
The Beginning of the end
By this point the truck had been giving me a bunch of maintenance issues (brakes didn’t work over 100 km for awhile, intake manifold gasket went, alternator/battery gave up the ghost, exhaust had half fallen off, CAA hit it off the roof of a parking garage, the list goes on and on) and at the urging of my family and friends I had actually put the truck up for sale for awhile because it was becoming a time and money pit.
I started working on the feature for my old truck this morning (yay?) but I realized that I have out my license plates in most of them because I am super paranoid like that and I couldn’t get them all done before work today, so ya it’s not up. However I figured this would be a good time to big up one of my favorite automotive blogs: The Chronicles
I know it seems somewhat counterproductive to shout out another blog but I really respect what Joe has going on over at The Chronicles and his blog is one of the main reason this blog exists. He noticed an niche that needed some exposure in the blog world (Hondas and Acuras) and set forth to represent for them and his scene without the bullshit. Which is the heart of what is going on here as well.
If you like well written blogs that really capture what the car tuning culture should be about then head over and take a look at The Chronicles just be sure to come back to stanceiseverything.com when you are done because I’m working my way up to big things as well.
Joe recently did a feature on this car for the Sept 9th Issue of Honda TuningThere is also a nice photoshoot of this crazy built NSXThis post was the source of my desktop background here at work
Sorry for the lateness of today’s post, I had to be up really early today to get my car into the body shop to fix a few scratches from a recent misjudgment. That all worked out and I am back to looking fresh to death though. I plan to feature my death truck (92 Blazer) soon but until I have time to sit down and write about that ordeal I figured I should throw up some quick random cars for those of you who check this blog everyday (and I thank you). Also I am placing an order for some stickers today, get stoked!
Can't believe I forgot to post this e30 on Tuesday. It is so a typicalSuper clean local EK hatchI think this DA was snapped at this years Eibach meet. LegitNo clue where I snatched this from either, but, if I dealt drugs I would whip thisI have a soft spot for wagonsWhen was the last time you saw a set of Supertrapps?Spotted this one on buildthreads.com, bagged minis are, apparently, pretty rare they shouldn't be though looks awesome
The concept of theme Tuesdays here on Stance Is Everything is simple, every Tuesday I pick a theme and post a collection of vehicles with that theme that meet the stance criteria (modified suspension that fit the vehicles overall theme). This weeks theme Tuesday topic is: E30s
As a former e30 owner its about time I posted a gang of e30s on this site. E30s will forever hold a place in my heart. The take to drops and rims very well and other than an extremely low oil pan it’s all gravy.

The VW I wrote about last week (vrsexy ) recently got pulled over and pulled off the road in a Ministry of Transportation spot check. The owner shared is personal account on two of the boards I frequent:
“This is a friendly warning to all the modified cars, tonight my car was pulled off the street for being low, they had Mavis fully blocked off with two MTO cruisers and one MTO van. They pulled over and inspected every car at the Central Parkway Tim Hortons
Another set of MTO cruisers (Van and Charger) were also set up on Britannia and Mavis (Terry Fox Tim Hortons) and were inspecting cars, they literally pulled over every single modified car..
One cop told my friend who has a civic “We are coming down to Mississauga more since we notice that there are a lot of modified cars here…”
My car is pretty low and I was expecting to get a ticket, but didn’t think they would block off a major road like that…
He put my ownership paper between my tire and fender and told me to turn, when I did, he laughed and told me your ownership is stuck between the two so now we are towing you car…
I received a court summons and was told to raise it up, take pictures with a camera that has a date on it, and the prosecutor will try and help you out…”
My biggest issue, and most car enthusiasts issue in general, with cars getting pulled for being ‘too low’ is that there is no standard practice for testing if a car is too low and nor is there any specific part of the Highway Traffic Act that states when a car falls into the category of being too low and therefore unsafe to drive. Whether or not you get a ticket or have your plates removed is completely up to the officer that has pulled you over and that is wrong. If this law is to be enforced it should be documented plain and simple.
The best advice I can give you guys to avoid having your cars pulled off the road is this:
No part of your car can touch the ground but your wheels, nothing can be touching your wheels but the ground, and generally try not to drive like a jack ass (not saying everyone who gets pulled for this does) it just hurts the rest of us.
I Didn’t hit up any shows this weekend so I am digging into my bag of local message board finds for this mornings post. I drove an e30 for almost eight years so I still have a lot of friends in the local BMW community and the cars I am posting today just happen to be some of those friends. These cars can be seen holding down the streets of the GTA.
Maxbimmer moderator Mystikal (Jay) made the switch from e30s to e36's but has wheel choice has not changedJay is the wheel/tire fitment guru of the GTA... seriouslyToronto has quite a few really great mural spotsTrevors e30 has been through a few revisions over the years but always clean
This one was inspired by a video I saw over on the cardomain blog. I have re posted it here with a few other amazing wheelstands I found on youtube. The Mustang one however is easily the longest wheelstand I have seen done by a car that was not set up specifically to do wheel stands.
