Event Coverage: CSCS July 20th 2014 Pt. 2

Today Drake and I continue our overage of the July 20th CSCS event with the 'stationary' set of photos. Though it seems every event I spend more and more time looking through the infield I...

Event Coverage: CSCS July 20th 2014 Pt. 1

After not being able to personally attend the last two rounds of the Canadian Sport Compact Series I was really looking forward to a long over due day at Toronto Motorsports Park Cayuga this past...

Theme Tuesdays: Non Typical Hot Rods

I've done uncommon low, and uncommon low riders so the only natural progression of the oddball Theme Tuesday series is less than typical Hot Rods. It's pretty cool to see the hot rod aesthetic applied to...

Higher Learning: Petey’s EF

There's no doubt in my mind that everyone of you fortunate enough to have a car in high school remember it fondly. For most of us in addition to holding countless memories and stories --many...

Event Coverage: CSCS Beach Burnout 2014 – Pt. 1

Today we pick right back up where we left off Monday with Drake's 2014 CSCS Beach Burnout coverage. The weather held out for drift practice and early qualifiers but unfortunately come later in the day the...

WTF Friday: It’s a Van Thing You Wouldn’t Understand

Two weeks ago while at Classics In The Square Rob from Performance Improvements suggested I take a close look at two vans parked approximately fifteen feet away from their booth. From a distance neither van looked...

Theme Tuesday: Rolling Shots Part 4

Random SIE/Dave Thomas fact: Between 2009 to now I have never shot a single rolling shot. Not.A.Single.One. Reason? I'm normally the lead/follow driver. I should really try my hand at it sometime soon, here's the fourth edition...

Event Coverage: CSCS Beach Burnout 2014 – Pt. 1

WTF Friday: Fantastic Voyage

Recently I stumbled across a fairly peculiar looking 300zx and in the search for more information I came to learn that the 'Buttigiri Special 300zx' lead a fairly interesting life of constant change up until...

Guest Coverage: Dropsicles Sideshow 2012

Mike McConnell is an awesome event photographer, like myself he is the kind of guy who will do multiple passes of a show to make sure nothing gets missed and he isn't against revisiting the same car a few times in order capture those fine details. His latest contribution is from theDropsicles Sideshow held in Lethbridge Alberta and while I had never heard of it before these photos have made it a show I am going to keep an eye on. Great variety and quality.

I can see it now…

I really can, this car is going to end up all over the internet. It's going to appear on blog after blog, and forum after forum, for a couple of reasons. I would actually be surprised if some of you had not seen it already. The first reason people are going to talk about this car is pretty obvious. A lot of people don't think Subaru's should be lowered, never mind slammed or on air ride, because of their out of the box off road capability and cherished rally heritage so multiple page debates about the suspension on this car are basically a given.

Theme Tuesdays: Recently Viewed – May 2016

This month's recently viewed Theme Tuesday was triggered by a not so intentional name drop by Jay Leno in a recent video of Leno's...

WTF Friday: 10 More Crazy Show Rods

Decided to get lost in a few 'good old days' forums last night and when I emerged I came up with enough material for a continuation of the Crazy Show Rods WTF Friday series. Like the first I can't be sure that all of them were actually driven but a bit of back and forth on the forums alludes to at least a few of them seeing some road time in some capacity.

Event Coverage: The 2013 Canadian International Autoshow: Pt. 2

Back with the second (and final) batch of photos from the 2013 Canadian International Autoshow media day. In my two years of experience attending the show for media day I have found striking an even balance between getting uncluttered photos and attending big reveals a little difficult. Last year I missed pretty well everything but this year I fared a bit better managing to catch three or four. Sadly I was distracted during Chevrolet's uncloaking of the Sting Ray which I'm still kicking myself over.
