Sunday’s Refined: Curated Sunday Special

I have no problem admitting that I’ve become a bit more guarded with my time. A lot of my recent event coverage reflects that. These...

Event Coverage: H2O International 2013 – Pt. 1

On the way to Ocean City my co-pilot and I had a lot of time to discuss just how great H2O could actually be. Previous coverage and instragram updates made it sound pretty great but we wanted to keep our expectations fairly realistic so we talked it down a tad to not be disappointed. Several hours into the drive we figured we had formed reasonable expectations but the second we turned onto the strip said expectations were blown clear out of the water by the sheer number of vehicles in Ocean City MD.

I’m Back Sorry I Left You….

...without a dope post to sift through. About an hour or two after our successful second attempt at crossing the boarder (US Customs doesn't like I Like 'Em Dropped Stickers) it hit me like a ton of bricks that I neglected to mention here on the site that I would be in Ocean City for H2O International.

Event Coverage: 2013 CSCS Season Finale – Pt. 2

Back today with part two of the coverage from the CSCS Finale which is a small set of non action oriented photos. To my surprise there were a few cars at the finale I had not seen the entire season including one car I've never seen in person period. This isn't an exhaustive coverage of the show and shine but more a selection of vehicles and compositions that caught my eye. Enjoy!

Event Coverage: 2013 CSCS Season Finale – Pt. 1

Despite somewhat unseasonably cold weather Toronto Motorsports park Cayuga was packed on Sunday for the 2013 CSCS Finale. Like all the events leading up to it competition was fierce on the track with time attack records once again being broken and drifters laying it all on the line. It's been a few rounds since I've been able to attend personally so I was looking forward to getting back on the track and taking a few shots, as such the track action is up first with show and shine photos following soon after.

Theme Tuesdays: Outside Of The Box Drift Platforms

While s-chassis and AE86s have proven themselves tim,e and time, again as capable drift cars I'm positive I am not alone in wishing that there was a little more vehicle variety in the drifting world. Sure it might not be the most cost efficient way to go about things but there is something to be said for those who do things the hard way.

Event Coverage: Tuner Invasion 2013

About mid summer I acquired a Tuner Invasion flyer, stuck it on my fridge, and didn't think much about it until I happened to have a booth beside show organizers Jay Jones and Steve Luangpakdy at the Sherway Nissan Megameet. Both of them said the show would be worth the trip to the hammer so I took them on their word and made my way westward. True to their word Tuner Invasion ended up being a great show with a great variety of cars.

WTF Friday: Custom Extremities

I'm pretty lucky to be made aware of a lot of interesting builds via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and today's truck was brought to my attention by long time reader Clint Jolly Green (who has a real last name that's hard to spell). My initial reaction to being tagged in the photo below was 'holy Kansas look at those doors' followed by quite the eyebrow raise when I noticed the rear wheel/tire situation.

Event Coverage: Sherway Nissan Megameet

A few weeks ago Importfest hosted a 'Mega Meet' --aka a show and shine-- at Sherway Nissan is Mississauga. The event was open to all make and model of vehicles with speciality awards reserved for Nissan entrants. Dealership shindigs are often hit or miss but this one was pretty solid offering up a variety of cars from classics all the way to big money exotics. In addition to cars there were a few food vendors, the Grey Cup, a handful of cheerleaders, and a couple Toronto Argonaut players.

Theme Tuesdays: Whitewalls

While reading another excellent Keith Charvonia feature on SpeedHunters it became alarmingly apparent that I have yet to do a Theme Tuesday on the classic white wall tire. Unsurprisingly there were a number of cars equipped with said tires on my hard drive so this one came together fairly quickly.
