Sunday’s Refined: Curated Sunday Special

I have no problem admitting that I’ve become a bit more guarded with my time. A lot of my recent event coverage reflects that. These...

Autostrada Magazine Sets The Bar At The Porsche Experience Center

Autostrada Magazine and The Porsche Experience Centre TO kicked off the 2026 season with a banger of a Cars & Coffee Style Event.

Event Coverage: Sleds North 2025

Held at the Plunkett Estate in London Ontario Sleds North 2025 was one if, if not the, best Kustom Car shows to ever take place in Canada.

Event Coverage: Motorama 2025 Latepass Gallery

From the not so lost files, this gallery of photos from Motorama 2025 should get everyone stoked for the 2026 event starting March 13th 2026 at the International Center.

Style Is Everything at Sleds North 2024

As Canada's only curated Kustom car event Sleds North puts the culture and community first at this one of a kind gathering of everything 'Kool'.

Courier Service

This Courier ended up on my screen a couple months ago while gathering photos for a Theme Tuesday and quite honestly blew me away. I'm not sure I have ever seen a Courier before (stock or otherwise) so happening across this was pretty rad, more rad is the fact that it is an Ontario build.

WTF Friday: Not Quite A Tumbler

It's been some time since a craigslist find was the focal point of a WTF Friday post so this week I've got one wicked creation from the mean streets of El Paso. Like most other odd, black, vehicular creations listed Craigslist (or Kijiji for that matter) this vehicle is touted as a custom built 'rat rod' by it's owner.

Event Coverage: H2O International 2013 – Pt. 4

Really can't be happier with my first trip to H2O and I'm glad to have finally gone. Thanks to Blair and Kristina for guiding the way and Shayan for riding shotgun and preventing me from dozing off and ending up shiny side down in a ditch. Going to round out the last of the coverage with a few photos from the Taphouse and a couple shots of cars that were running up and down the strip. Hopefully I'll be saying to hello to Ocean City once more in 2014!

Theme Tuesdays: Street Machines

At first pass a few of you are going to think I am off my rocker --which I might be-- for posting 70s Street Machines in the Theme Tuesday category and not the WTF Friday one but, in my opinion 70s Street Machines and today's aggressive fitment scene are really not that different from one another. Swap BBS wheels (or your 3 piece of choice) for Cragars (or you slotted mag of choice), coils for shackles, stretched tires for the widest tires possible, wild vinyl wraps for wild custom paint, and it's tomato, tomato.

WTF Friday: Talk About A Challenge

People have swapped quite a few motors into the nimble little Mazda Miata chassis but I think Quebec native Yannick may be walking away with the top spot for 'most unlikely combination' with his current project. Yannick is a man who likes to buy cars that are either damaged, undesirable, or missing key components, and make them drivable. His search for damaged auto-mobiles landed him a 2005 Maserati Quattroporte that was auctioned off (slightly damaged) with 64, 000 miles on the clock.

Event Coverage: H2O International 2013 – Pt. 3

One of the beautiful things about H2O is that though the get togethers are 'scheduled' that doesn't mean if you show up late all is lost. More often than not a few people end up sticking around simply because on the next hour another meet is sure to spring up around them. Today I've got a few photos from the Air Cooled get together and the Scraped Crusaders/E30 get together which are both meets that we technically 'missed' but still enjoyed.

Theme Tuesdays: Uncommon Stance Part 2

For one reason or another it has been a few weeks since the last Theme Tuesday so lets get things back on track with a second/third edition of  'uncommon stance' which is a reliable old favourite. I know there are plenty of people out there with lesser modified, limited after market, or just plain oddball chassis so hopefully this post inspires at least one of you not to push that project into the nearest river.

Event Coverage: H2O International 2013 – Pt. 2

In part one of the 2013 H2O coverage I mentioned that attending the show is optional if your goal  is simply to see a ridiculous amount of awesome cars. Having only just now popped my H2O cherry I can't really speak to how or why it happened but --to the ire of some VW enthusiasts-- Ocean City has become the destination for car enthusiasts of all kinds on the last weekend of September. The Saturday before the show consisted of basically on non stop trips up and down the strip stopping at packed parking lots along the way to see a variety of different cars.

WTF Friday: 10 More Crazy Show Rods

Decided to get lost in a few 'good old days' forums last night and when I emerged I came up with enough material for a continuation of the Crazy Show Rods WTF Friday series. Like the first I can't be sure that all of them were actually driven but a bit of back and forth on the forums alludes to at least a few of them seeing some road time in some capacity.
