Theme Tuesdays: Recently Viewed – August 2016

To --somewhat regrettably-- signal the end of August I've pulled together another variety of videos for this fine Tuesday. A few of these videos you may have already seen, but some I just couldn't resist re-posting...

Event Coverage: The 2016 Jalopy Jam Up

A successful show has three main ingredients; a good turnout, a good mix of cars, and good weather. None of us can control the weather but with a loud enough voice, or enough to spend on...

WTF Friday: The Franken Dually

On Father's Day, at an event called Fire Up The Grill I discovered the 'Franken Merc', a very, very heavily modified 1947 Mercury, and last Sunday I met its big brother the Franken Merc Da...

Theme Tuesdays: Cube Vans, Delivery Trucks, and Ice Cream Trucks

I was on vacation last week, and actually ended up pretty busy, which meant that this site was in turn quite stagnant. Because of this I knew I had to come back with a Theme Tuesday...

Ontario’s Best Kept Secret: The ELTA Summer Bash

Last year I discovered a true gem with the E.L.T.A. Summer Bash. An event that's been around for years, but promoted almost exclusively by word of mouth, I felt very privileged to get a personal invite...

Event Coverage: Cars And Coffee Toronto – August 2016

Summer in Ontario is too damn short, it felt like the last Cars and Coffee I went to was last month but May was actually the last time I went to one. I caught wind that the...

WTF Friday: Hemischmitt

The Messerschmitt KR200 is what happens when an aircraft company can't make planes so they create a "bubble" car similar to the BMW Isetta and other post World War II German vehicles. Truth be told the Messerschmitt...

Seat Of Your Pants Engineering: Bob Ward’s Turbo Diesel ’52 GMC

About a year ago I received an email from then stranger Bob Ward, asking if I would be interested in shooting his project '52 GMC 9700. Inside the email Bob included a few images along...

Theme Tuesdays: Import Powered Hot Rods

I've never really bought into the idea that a car of any type "should" have one particular motor or another. I feel that the motor choice is solely up to the owner, and while there...

Event Coverage: Honda Tech 2010

Last year was my first Honda Tech event and I was blown away by the quality of cars that were there. For a long time Honda's were not the cleanest cars around so it was really refreshing to see so many nice ones in one area along with all of the other clean cars that came out. Because of my move the previous day my time at the show was short and sweet and while I didn't show up during it's peak but I was still able to get a lot of shots of the action and, thankfully, the time I showed up it had cooled down slightly as it was a scorcher.

Damn Son

I'm pretty sure this Datsun 510 hunted me down and found me because I wasn't even on a content hunt when I found it. I was just minding my own business, on my laptop, one lazy Sunday afternoon when it leapt of the screen at me. Even though I wasn't looking for it I am glad I found it as it's jumped to upper rankings of my favorite 510s ever built list. SR20 powered, on Works, clean body, and a drive height that looks good and allows it to be driven hard and stay clean? Yeah, I'm a fan.

Theme Tuesdays: Wheel Stands

I've been dropping hints that this Theme Tuesday was coming for awhile now and I've finally pulled together a collection I'm happy with (at least for a part one). Most of these pictures come from hanging around the H.A.M.B. and the Yellow Bullet forums where they love cars new or old that can put their front wheels in the air via monstrous amounts of torque.

Theme Tuesdays: Ten Automotive Podcasts Worth A Listen

I'm can't lie, compared to most it took me a long time to get into podcasts. I found listening to them at work a...

Blue In The Face

While migrating rss feeds from the recently deceased Google Reader over to The Old Reader I skimmed through few blogs I had not checked up on in awhile and located in the Motoriginal coverage of the Verses Classic Car Showdown was this impressively low Subaru BR-Z sitting on what look to be Weds Bazreias.
