      Theme Tuesdays: Nissan Gloria/Cedric/Cima

Doing Theme Tuesdays religiously since 2009 means that on occasion I draw a blank when it comes to what to post each week. When this happens I generally disappear down a rabbit hole of forums and...

      WTF Friday: Festivus

Like the Geo Metro the Ford Festiva is a vehicle that is largely ignored by the after market automotive community. Yes some people occasionally put Mazda's 1.8L turbo motor under the hood, and a select...

      Winter Wednesdays: 190 Below

When I was in college a friend of a friend had a 190e Evo that served as my first real introduction to the platform. Though it was a little worse for wear it wasn't hard...

      Theme Tuesday: Chevrolet Chevelles

Last night, thanks to Performance And Auto Sound Magazine, I was fortunate enough to take in a pre-screening of the new Need For Speed Movie. After the film (which was quite a bit better than I...

      Theme Tuesdays: Pullin’ A Trailer

This week's Theme Tuesday was suggested by a reader and though I must admit I can't exactly remember who suggested it (sorry) I do remember agreeing that it was a great idea when they did. Last year I did a theme very similar to this (Lowered Trucks Pullin’ Stuff) but this one is a little different in the fact that it is not exclusively limited to vehicles with beds.

The Most Interesting Car At The 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon

When TAS2014 coverage started to hit the web one car immediately stood out among the over fenders, race inspired livery, FT86/BRZ/FR-S, outrageous exotics, and over the top VIP cars. This awesome hot rod influenced Mazda Miata.

WTF Friday: The Sound of 1000 Purists Screaming

If you listen very carefully you can just about make out the sound of thousands of purists screaming over the image of a classic Mustang turned into a proper mud runner. Yes, the clapped out classic on a truck frame isn't exactly a new concept (heck I've posted a bunch previously), but something about this one being properly thrashed --on numerous occasions-- screamed out "Post me".

      The Recipe

While I was gathering photos for the Chevy Belair Theme Tuesday I came across this Impala wagon that just about steered the entire post towards wagons. It's got a great stance, impeccable paint, and a set of wheels that, despite their simplicity, really pull the car together.

Theme Tuesdays: Cars With Mouths – 3

Whenever I check the site stats and see that the "Cars With Mouths Theme Tuesday series" is still one of the most visited I can't help but chuckle a little bit because I initially thought no one would really be into it. I guess the fact that we are now into round three of said series goes to show the longevity of the famous tiger shark art, and various other forms of automotive grins.

Featured Ride: Guillaume’s VIP Styled Genesis

Previously best known for their commuter cars and soccer mom moving compact sport utility vehicles, Hyundai placed their bets on quite the roll of dice when they released the Genesis line of vehicles in 2008. Faced with a seriously uphill battle convincing the general public --never mind enthusiasts-- that they could produce a luxury car, and a sports coupe, they had to come out of the gate swinging to grab any sort of market hold.

WTF Friday: The Elephant Has Re-Entered The Room

In the last eight or so hours one car, and one car only, has essentially dominated my various social media feeds, a car which in every single iteration has turned heads and caused considerable internet uproar. That car is of course the infamous Kawashima Celica.

      Theme Tuesdays: Chevy Belairs

As a child I built a heck of a lot of model cars (a hobby I have recently picked up once more) and one kit that I have fond memories assembling was Monogram's 1956 Bel Air. The Belair is a true American classic with an appeal that transcends many different scenes so I am a little surprised it took me so long to realize that there was a dire need for some appreciation here on the site.
