So what do you want to ask COR Wheels?

Since my last post about COR Wheels I've had a chance to speak with their marketing manager and things have taken a very positive upswing. We both agree that the best way for COR to rebuild their reputation in the community is to face the topic head on and as such they have offered an exclusive interview with their CEO.

      Import Bible Series Six

Before Christmas David at Import Bible sent me one of the 'Hats Off' shirts from series six of his Import Bible clothing line. His sixth line of shirts maintains the same level of quality of his previous offerings (great), and I'm a big fan of this design in particular. There are not a lot of car shirts I wear outside of industry events but this one has found itself in my regular rotation.

He did it, he made it, he’s finally famous.

Before Christmas Craig at Rare Snare asked me 10 questions about SEMA, Stance Is Everything, The Toronto scene, car blogs, and music. It took me awhile to get through them but eventually I made good on my word and completed the interview which he put up last week sent the answers by and last week.

Photo Year In Review 2012 – The Features

Feature wise 2012 was a great year here at Stance Is Everything. In addition to receiving great photos from an awesome network of contributing photographers locally and abroad I started shooting more features myself which is a big step forward in keeping the content here fresh and original. Unlike the event photo year in review I will say a few words about each feature, but I will do  my best to keep things brief.

Photo Year In Review 2012 – The Events

At this point I've trashed three separate year in review drafts trying to figure out the best way to tackle the amount of content that has accumulated over the past 361 days. After hemming and hawing about formats I've decided that the best way to recap is with a lot of photos and minimal words.

      Merry Christmas

Quick note to say Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates and a happy Holidays to those of you who celebrate different things this time of year. Hopefully you get to spend the time with loved ones and get everything you asked for.

A Visit To: Switches N Thangs

A few days after the Majestics/Luxurious BBQ Rob at Performance Improvements asked if I would be interested in shooting some photos of Jeff Forgione's Lincoln at his shop Switches N Thangs for the Autumn issue of Performance In Motion. Jeff's car --which doubles as the Switches N Thangs rolling demo vehicle-- has progressed an incredible amount since I first saw it in the hop pit at the Scrape by the Lake in 2010, so the opportunity to shoot it hopping in a private location wasn't one I was going to turn down.

So I had an FR-S For a week

Scion Canada was crazy  kind enough to give me an FR-S to test drive for a week and I figured I would be equally kind in giving it a 'real world' review. By real world I mean from the perspective of someone who is not tainted by the luxury of having multiple press cars a month, or pockets lined with riches from foreign lands.

      WTF Friday: Ertefak happened?

On Wednesday it was announced that local car meet Ertefa was -at least temporarily- no longer welcome at the venue it had been occupying. If I am not mistaken this is the second time they have had to leave a location but unlike the first time size wasn't the issue.

Some people build cars and some people assemble cars and personally I have no issue admitting that I assemble cars, meaning that my car is comprised entirely of off the shelf parts and is easily re creatable. The goal of course is to one day be like Jeff who at the age of 19 has already proven himself a car builder by creating a vehicle worthy of accolades from enthusiasts world wide.

Behind The Scenes of a PASMAG cover shoot

About a month ago I received an email from Basit from Importfest asking if I would be interested in dropping by a Performance Auto And Sound cover shoot later that evening. While the timing wasn't perfect there was no way I was going to  pass up an opportunity like this in the name of sleep so 11pm that evening I made my way back down town to a location that oddly enough I can see from my desk at work.

      Team Titoboy Approved

Titoboy Approved, a local appearal and lifestyle brand, has teamed up with YOKOHAMA Canada for 2012 with the goal of developing one of the top tuning teams in Canada. They started off a little quiet and secretive with just a few teasers here and there but now they are ready to make some real noise.
