A bunch of hard working Canadians: Part 1

Springs in the air here in Canada, sort of. Actually the amount of spring in the air actually really depends on your definition of spring, the given day, and your current location. Also yesterday there was a lot of stuff in the air but it wasn't really spring... but for the most part (unless its snowing) its spring that's in the air. With spring comes spinning wrenches, cutting metal, sprayed paint, and stretched rubber. I've been following a bunch of great looking builds based right here in the land of red and white and here are a few of them, all drift builds coincidentally.

      WTF Friday: April Fools

Today is April Fools and while I have already been a part of a few pranks here in the office (and avoided any being done to me) I don't really have any to pull on all of you. I had a few over the top plans of elaborate site pranks but procrastination, laziness, and life basically put the end to that. Instead here are just some very questionably styled cars I found online, one of which was famous around these parts for awhile.

      Winter Wednesdays: Hoarder

Pat Cyr, Dan Cyr, and Drift Possee are awesome. I keep saying this because it continues to be true as evident from today's photos I lifted from Dan's wall. In the winter months Pat tends to do a lot of the following two things: work on his competition car, and slide his winter car, which also happens to be an ae86. When asked on facebook where Pat gets all his AE86's Dan simply replied: "Ever seen the show Hoarders?"

      Logan’s On Track

Logan has been putting in a ton of work this alongside Shawn from Drift Union. They killed it at a number of events both in Canada and in the states to the point where people are taking note of the guys in purple cars. Like Pat, I'm a big supporter of Logan because he is Canadian, drifts, and has BMX roots. So while I plugged this on facebook already I am going to do it again. Vote for Logan as 'Best Street Drift Car 2010' over on Speedhunters because his cars got stance, it's unique, and he slides it all the damn time.

      The Loud Pedal

On the way home last night from hockey at around 12:30am my new skid plate hit the ground hard which knocked it 80% off and resulted in some road side hockey tape mechanics and a very, very, slow drive home to where I removed it for modification at a later date. As a result I am quire tired today and my brain is a mess so I decided to keep things simple: The loud pedal, press it and things get awesome here are 5 examples.

      Theme Tuesdays: E30s Part II

I can't believe I have only done one e30 Theme Tuesday prior to this. As a former owner and current member of a number of BMW/E30 forums this is down right shameful. Not to mention that the the e30 is such a classic and versatile chassis, they look great dumped and kitted on low offset wheels, but also respond great to functional modifications when let loose on the track.

      Drift Union: Night Moves

Saw this over at Full Lock and had to give it some love because not only did I like the teaser but, Logan and Shawn are great guys with awesome cars who have been making quite a name for themselves on the internet the past year or so with their driving ability. They are working on there 2010 year end video and this is their latest trailer, I have also included the previous trailers in this post as well.

Event Coverage: 2010 CSCS Finale – Part 2

As I've mentioned the 2010 CSCS Finale was the first time I had been to Cayuga and the weather had fully cooperated which meant that the track saw a lot of fast action all day. Personally the track action is the main reason I make the drive out to CSCS as it's an added bonus on top of the show and shine that I can't take in at your average show.

Event Coverage: Mosport DMCC Part 3

Here it is, the third and final set of photos from round 6 of the 2010 DMCC series at Mosport. Qualifying was Tuesday, show and shine Wednesday, and today is the finals and photos from the podium. Hopefully you guys have enjoyed this in depth coverage and will know (provided you are local to one) check out at least a DMCC event.

Event Coverage: Mosport DMCC Part 1

On Sunday September 19th 2010 I went out to my first Drift Mania Canadian Championship (DMCC) event, which just so happened to be their final East event of the year. I had the long lens on the camera for most of the day which worked a treat for catching the action from the stands, and today's coverage is what I caught in the qualifying rounds.
