      Guest Coverage: Vagkraft 2012

Due to M.O.M. you already know I missed both CSCS and Vagkraft this year but before making the commitment to M.O.M. I reached out to Scott Holmes once again to see if he could snap a few photos. Like always he came through and thus I've got some photos to share from one of the biggest Euro events in the area.

Event Coverage: Meeting Of Mazdas 2012

On Sunday I skipped Vagkraft, Torque Modified, and CSCS to attend the 2012 Meeting of The Mazdas. Last year, despite being basically a zombie from Importfest the day before, I had a good time and liked the vibe of the event so I made a point of being available for 2012.

Theme Tuesdays: Now Who Makes The Music?

I've been meaning to do a post where all of the captions are song lyrics for some time now but I had been putting it off because I kept forgetting which lyrics I wanted to reference soon after the song finished. However using the last set of Importfest tickets I have to give away as motivation I've managed to pull together 14 for today's post.

Guest Coverage: CSCS Round 2012 Round 4

Sunday was one hell of a busy day here in Ontario with four events occurring simultaneously, which is actually something that has been occurring more often than not this year. The first of event getting coverage this week is round fourth round of the 2012 Canadian Sport Compact Series which was back at Toronto Motorsports Park Cayuga.

      WTF Friday: Ertefak happened?

On Wednesday it was announced that local car meet Ertefa was -at least temporarily- no longer welcome at the venue it had been occupying. If I am not mistaken this is the second time they have had to leave a location but unlike the first time size wasn't the issue.

Guest Coverage: Cruise To The Quarry 2012

Last Saturday some of the local minitruck community got together for a cruise in at Gulliver's Lake Park hear in Ontario. I wasn't a show but Facebook altered me that there were a bunch of cool handmade awards for things like furthest travelled, lowest roof (limbo), best van, longest daily driver on the road etc.

I love it when a plan comes together

When the second generation Mazda 3s came out I wasn't really the biggest fan of the Cheshire cat grill and bumper combo but when I saw a few modified I warmed up a little bit. Then when Steve -aka 'Aitch'- sent me a Photoshop of what he planned to do with a 2012 SkyActiv Sport my opinion changed almost entirely.

      Theme Tuesdays: IS300/Altezzas Part II

The last time I did an IS300 Theme Tuesday was in 2010 so a follow up has been more than overdue. Thinking that these came out originally in 2000 and are now 12 years old makes me feel as though I missed 5 years of my life somehow.

      Featured Ride: Дима’s Civic

Coming from a country where parts are not easy to come by at a reasonable price enthusiasts in Ukraine do a damn good job of working with what is available locally and patiently waiting their time to receive what is not. This Civic happens to be the third Ukrainian car to be featured here on Stance Is Everything and like the ones before it it this car is a head turner without being over the top.

      That colour

If you checked out the fanpage today you probably noticed that I spent some of my lunch crusining around local vw forum idub.ca and honeslty I obviously don't do that nearly enough. In addition to some great photos from Wonger I found this awesome MK6 Golf on polished and colour matched LMs.

      Theme Tuesdays: Los Boulevardos

Recently I stumbled upon on Stance Works thread that kind of rattled the entire belief system this site is based on, for years I have often considered American cars -ie: Impalas slammed on Supremes with white walls- a different style of lowrider but it turns out that is not the case. According to members of the Los Boulevardos Car Club these cars that are too late to be traditional (in the hot rod sense), and too lowrider to be custom (think sleds), and too custom (think lack of wires) to be lowriders are their own niche entirely.

Guest Coverage: Illmotion Sunday School Show & Shine 2012

Canadian readers have probably heard of Illmotion before but for those of you may not have Illmotion is a group of enthusiasts from Calgary who in 2010 decided their scene needed a bit of a kick in the pants. Last Sunday they had their second annual "Sunday School" show and shine at the Max Bell centre in Calgary and like other great events in the Calgary area guest contributing photographer Mike McConnell was there.
