I’ve posted this car before, a few times, and every event I see it at I take photos of it but not there is video which will illustrate to the rest of you who have not seen this car in person just how low this car really is.
I had no idea this even happened until I saw a video clip on my friend Jesse’s new blog Dorimoto and my interest was peaked.
A bagged s10 with a 300zx rear and and an rb25det? Yes please.
RB25det in between the s10 fendersThe 300zx rearShot of the rear bag set up as well as 300zx IRSShot of the Skynoma laid out, it takes a bit to get used to IRS on an s10Lots of camber back thereAfter a tree fell on it he took the time to do some body work first being a vented hood
This is all worthless without video right? Here you go 🙂
Site Updates
The end of season is quickly approaching but it’s not dead yet so this weekend I will be at the CSCS Finale.
I should also be receiving a restock of the white and pink ‘I Like ‘Em Dropped‘ stickers at CSCS as well, so those of you who have been waiting for those to come back they should be in the store Monday.
I will also be working on my garage with my dad this weekend so I’ll have a garage build update as well, which is something I have been looking forward to posting for awhile.
Here it is, the third and final set of photos from round 6 of the 2010 DMCC series at Mosport. Qualifying was Tuesday, show and shine Wednesday, and today is the finals and photos from the podium.
Hopefully you guys have enjoyed this in depth coverage and will know (provided you are local to one) check out at least a DMCC event.
Today’s finals coverage is mostly broken down by driver.
Smoke shows
After the finalists were introduced a few of them decided to put on a little pre show, show.

Bob Patinka ended up putting together a decent day
More sun glare Patinka's car also sounded pretty mean

Matt Waldin ended up blowing his motor in the finals but had accumulated enough points to finish the year in the top spot.

The 2010 Canadian Sport Compact Series is wrapping up this Sunday September 26 at Cayuga Motorsports park so if you have not had a chance to make it out to any of the three previous events this year be sure to show up between 11am and 7pm as it will be your last chance.
Like all of the other CSCS events this weekend includes: Drifiting, Time Attack,Open Lapping, Drag Racing and a show and shine event as well as product give-aways and multiple stage shows.
As of today the weather forecast is shaping up to be 17 degrees and sunny which should make for a great day for the drivers on track chasing the year and titles and those of us spectating or showing.

In between the qualifying runs and the finals at DMCC I took some time to quickly pass through the show and shine/pit area so it only makes sense that the coverage of said show and shine appears between the qualifying coverage and finals coverage.
In hindsight it was free to enter the show and shine so I should have thrown my car in for kicks, next year…
Over view of the show and shine

Few shots of some of the cleaner looking Hondas at the show

I didn’t see to many AWD cars at the show now that I think about it, wonder why 😉

Took some time to check out Pat’s car up close, this car wears its wounds (and stickers) well.
Every time I was near Pat's car there was a crowd around itThis guy was checking out the swapSo I figured I would join inPat's rear window, thanks for the love manFresh rubber on the fenders, tons of camber up front
The Silvia
This car was at Stretch and Poke Two on half of this setup but now that he has the all four on the car looks crazy.
A lot of people stopped to check out the fitment, most notably the rear fitment.
F'in fittedDiiiishFender vs tire, the battle continues
Check back tomorrow for the drift finals and podium coverage.
On Sunday September 19th 2010 I went out to my first Drift Mania Canadian Championship (DMCC) event, which just so happened to be their final East event of the year.
I had the long lens on the camera for most of the day which worked a treat for catching the action from the stands, and today’s coverage is what I caught in the qualifying rounds.
A lot of people have been saying that the course was not as fast as it could have been, but I still had a great time watching all of the drivers try and figure out the technical, multi-elevation course.
Furthermore I’m still a ‘noob’ when it comes to this drifting business so I will take what I can get, and anytime I can go out and support Pat Cyr and Drift Posse I am going to do it.
The Lineup
I’m going to do my best here to name the drivers who’s photos I took, if I miss label any please let me know.
Chris St John, one of the guys from CSCSKevin GrenierClaude Poirier I believeBob Patinka in his glassless 240sxMats Baribeau's Gold in the net Mark IIDany BernierThis one is easy, Pat Cyr
Onto the action
As previously mentioned the track was pretty tricky with all of the elevation changes. A lot of drivers came in too hot and paid with spin outs and off track excursions.
The opposite side stands, where the judges wereChris was having a little trouble Sunday but I am sure he will redeem himself this SundayIf this was golf people would be fixing lots of divotsFrom entry this bumper was held on by zip tiesI thought it was a goner but it held fastWhat would a drift event be without a bumper separation?Frédéric Girard in his Rock Star 240sxHe was driving well and made it through to the finalsKevin on itNice angle hereThis v8 in this car screamedSliding one of the early turns in the courseJean-François Chiasson Nice and sidewaysDanny Bernier putting that work inSee all the matching shirts in the crowd? They were all rooting hard for this carThis was one of my favorite turns of the course to take pictures of if you have not noticedWas really hoping to get a shot like this that daySaw a lot of this big Mark II from Importfest getting sidewaysMatt Waldin was having an exceptional dayNo bumper no carePat's car sounds awesome and he came out fastSince his car was smaller he could get it very sideways on the tight courseThis is one of my favorite shots, car looks so pissed off
Check back tomorrow for Show & Shine pictures and Thursday for pictures from the finals, and perhaps check this page later for some photos I may or may not have forgot to add.
Time to fall back on another established Theme for this Tuesday, but I am pretty sure no one will mind as I have yet to see a gear head turn down photos of fine looking cars and fine looking women.
Oddly enough one common trend of Classy Models part one, part two and today’s part three is that each has had an older VW paired with a fine young lady.
VW owners are winning I guess, here we go:
Posted this car before, now it's joined by a lady in blackDo women prefer 8v or 16?Nice shoes (x2)Easy on the paint...Ally McbealBeetles seem to attract women in skirtsJust enough clothes to be classy... right?Rieger girl 1Rieger girl 2, Also Rieger their swing up doors evidentlyDamn (x2)More VW loveFemale drivers?! This picture is oddWin
Dave and the crew at Stretch & Poke have put together their final meet of the year, and it’s taking place Oct 3rd 2010 at Downsview Park.
Downsview is the same venue as Honda Tech 7 so there is no worry of spots filling up or pay parking, furthermore there will be awesome deals on food and beverages courtesy of Grand Prix Kartways.
Don’t put your $h1t away yet! Join us for the LAST S&P meet of the year before we store our rides or go into winter mode!
Grand Prix Kartways will be offering us the following food & beverage specials:
$2 draft beers and $13 pitchers
$5 bbq burger or hot dog w/powerade drink
All makes and models are welcome! Please respect the property and clean-up after yourselves. No speeding, burnouts, ricers, or drama.
Last week was fairly Import heavy and most of this week will be drift heavy so to show a little love to those who read the blog and are a fan of classic cars I swung by the Applewood Plaza cruise in last week and took some photos.
The turnout was not the largest that I’ve seen but it sure wasn’t the smallest either, and I got to chat with Rod, the owner of the Turbonique Rocket Kart, some more about just how crazy the whole Jet powered vehicle thing was.
No real order to the photos today, just going to post them up as they were on my hard drive after editing.
If I recall this was at least 600hp, but I think more in the 800hp rangeFlying Native?Love tubbed carsIt's been awhile since I have seen this AMXLoved the Olive color on this CudaThe wheels were cool too remind me of older cop carsClean and classy cruiserFlat black Mercury truck with character1950 ish Chevy TruckWith a wood lined bed I loved but would never useI've been thinking that my get old and die with project might one day be a Grand NatI loved them even before I knew what powered themNice Austin-HealyA buddy of mine has a rodded Malibu as well, doesn't look quite like this thoughIt was very clean all aroundYou need to look no farther than the site header to know I like Black PanterasMmmm.Awhile ago on twitter I was talking about how I had not seen a Prowler in yearsThis was without a doubt the most modified one I have ever seenDetailed all the way down to the brakesCrowds are typical around the Turbonique kart
For Ollie and Joe
When I am at events I try and take photos of things I know my readers will respond too, whether it be women, funny stickers, random nonsense, or random cars.
More often than not when I post an odd car Ollie or Joe are the first to identify it, so I figured I should take some pictures of this car for them and the rest of you out there who are familiar with off beat cars.
Don’t ever say I don’t pay attention to the comments 😉
With a unique emblem like this I am sure it's easily identifiedKnock offs on all 4 wheelsRear engine, no badges in sight
I saw these photos on the Stance Works forums and I was awe struck. We have some pot holes here that are worth avoiding but it seems that Bulgaria considers craters potholes.
These are not rota’s getting mangled either authentic BBS wheels just getting disrespected something fierce. It’s enough to make a wheel whore cry.
OuchNoooo... 🙁Wow... Didn't know you could do a Type A like that:/Beginning of repairRepaired??I hope this is not a finished repair...Is that a yard stick as refrence!?I would turn around and go home, damn

As the season starts to come to a close everyone is trying to get their last events in so it is keeping me pretty busy. This weekend DMCC is in town this wekeend and I’m really hoping to be able to make it out to that, then next weekend another CSCS and then after that the final Stretch and Poke meet or the year.
Look out for lots of event coverage over the next month as I have even stopped by a few classic shows in between import ones.
