Sunday’s Refined: Curated Sunday Special

I have no problem admitting that I’ve become a bit more guarded with my time. A lot of my recent event coverage reflects that. These...

Bagged e30 Touring

Today is a holiday (Thanksgiving) here in Canada so I figured I should make the best of it and double up on the posts, and since I already posted one bagged BMW today why not another? I spotted this bagged e30 touring on a forum a couple of months ago and was recently stumbled upon it again and remembered how much I liked it. Bagged e30s are still pretty uncommon so do see someone do this to a touring, and keep it clean, is a real treat.

Unavoidable

I told myself I wasn't going to write about the latest version of this car. Not because I don't like it, but because Speedhunters did it, Fatlace did it, and even Jalopnik did it. This post has sat as a draft for about two weeks while I tried to decide if my input was at all necessary. After reading a comment calling this car 'nothing more than a POS' in a thread titled 'How much time did this guy waste' I found myself coming back because while a lot of people love the car, a vast number of people hate it and while everyone is entitled to their own opinion many are missing the point.

WTF Friday: And the winner is….

Before I get into posting this weeks WTF Friday content as promised I have the results of the first ever Stance Is Everything reader appreciation sticker give away. First and foremost a big thanks to everyone who took the time to comment/enter the contest. I was blown away by the amount of people who commented, and the great things you guys and girls said about the blog even though a simple "do want" would have worked to enter.

Super clean 180sx

As the 2010 GTA event season comes to a close you are going to start seeing a lot of cars that have been on my hard drive for the past few months, today I've got a super clean Nissan 180sx. It's pretty rare to see one this clean since a great number of them end up in the hands of drifters, and while it's never bad to see a car used and abused on the track, it's also nice to see one that the owner has kept spit shined.

Sayonara Summer Video

Here's a quick video by Rough Draft / Backstage (same guys behind this video) of Stretch & Poke 3: Sayonara Summer. Be sure to watch all the way through for the teaser at the end. Chu is getting really good at this really fast!

Event Coverage: S&P 3 – Sayonara Summer

On Sunday October 3rd in odd, but appropriate, weather the GTA car community said Sayonara to Summer with an event put on by the good people at Stretch and Poke. When I showed up (late) some of cars had come and gone but from the coverage I have seen on the Scraped Crusaders and courtesy of Gawa on JDMR the event was a great success.

Theme Tuesday: MKII Golfs

I was over on Supermade last night looking at all the nice Volkswagens he posts when it hit my like a brick that I had yet do do a Theme Tuesday dedicated solely to the MKII Golf. I can't believe it's taken me this long, these cars a staple of the low lifestyle and are always at shows and meets.

Reader appreciation give away

Without you all, the readers, this blog would be me writing about cars to myself and that wouldn't be a whole lot of fun. When I first started this I had no idea how well it would go but the support I have received so far both locally and abroad has been absolutely fantastic. While I would love to give all of my readers a personal show of thanks doing so would put me in the poor house so I'm just going to have to settle for giving one of you a bunch of stickers.

Event Coverage CSCS 2010 Finale – Part 3

Even though this show was just last weekend with the way the weather has changed (and the amount of time it's taken me to post all of the parts) it seems like so long ago. Most of the cars in today's coverage are probably stored away by now or will soon be in winter mode so here is a look at one of the last show and shines of the season.
