Theme Tuesdays: Big Wings

Size matters this week as I pay homage to those out there with big wangs wings. ^ There's a sentence I never thought I would write for the site, thanks Big Country Labs et al.

Beast Mode: Trevor’s 2007 Mazdaspeed 3

Recently a number of builds have emerged from the rapidly growing Mazda 3 aggressive fitment community that are pushing the chassis ride height and wheel fitment boundaries to new levels. As these cars get lower, and...

Shavi Ain’t Care

In the gen one Mazda 3/Speed 3 world Shavi is somewhat of a legend for always pushing the limits of ground clearance and wheel fitment. After years of punishing the ground, and the underside of...

The Most Interesting Car At The 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon

When TAS2014 coverage started to hit the web one car immediately stood out among the over fenders, race inspired livery, FT86/BRZ/FR-S, outrageous exotics, and over the top VIP cars. This awesome hot rod influenced Mazda Miata.

Theme Tuesdays: Cars With Mouths – 3

Whenever I check the site stats and see that the "Cars With Mouths Theme Tuesday series" is still one of the most visited I can't help but chuckle a little bit because I initially thought no one would really be into it. I guess the fact that we are now into round three of said series goes to show the longevity of the famous tiger shark art, and various other forms of automotive grins.

Theme Tuesdays: My Favorite Photos of 2013

Can't really think of a better way to send off a year of Theme Tuesday posts than with a collection of my own personal favourite photos of 2013. One day I might go back and count how many photos I take in a season, but I do know it's quite a few so narrowing down my picks was a little difficult but I am pretty happy with the list below.

Winter Wednesdays: Low All Year

On Sunday I had the 3 out in it's first real 'storm' since it's been on air and it honestly took it like a champ. No frozen lines, ride pressure and height stayed consistent, and she was as sure footed as a mountain goat.

Theme Tuesdays: Wall Taps

Continuing the one two punch of drift related Theme Tuesday posts is this week's edition on the wall tap. Wall taps are always exciting to watch because when they go well it's graceful and elegant, and when they go wrong it's levels of chaos ranging from beautiful to horrendous.

Theme Tuesday: Dirt Drops

Curiously there's actually never been a Theme Tuesday dedicated to drifting on Stance Is Everything until today. Not exactly sure how that happened, but it did, so to make up for lost time I've decided break the drift drought with a post dedicated to the graceful art of the dirt drop.

Theme Tuesdays: That’s Static!? (Pt.1)

Weighing in on the static vs. air debate isn't really something I like to do because I feel people should get down how they get down and not worry about how, but I will say that there is something to be said for a clean static car with spot on fitment. I'm not talking cars that are easily identified as static from fifteen feet away due to smashed bumpers, questionable panel gaps, and catchy slogan covered munched quarters.

Event Coverage: Sema 2013 – Part. 3

Back with more from SEMA 2013 coverage from the Performance Improvements gang. Today's collection of photos is mostly from the South Hall with a few cars from outside the convention center thrown in for good measure. Look for at least one more batch of SEMA coverage to come before we move onto the Texas Mile.

Sixteen Thousand Kilometers On Air

On the way back from H2O the odometer on my 2004 Mazda 3 clicked past 216,000 which means that I have now traveled roughly sixteen thousand kilometers on my Air Lift Performance suspension set-up. Since my switch to the 'darkside' via the final production prototype of Air Lift's Mazda 3 kit I've been repeatedly asked a few of the same questions about my suspension.
