The Impracticality of it all

Derek Kreindler is well educated, well spoken, Toronto based car nut who is not scared to voice his opinions. He recently wrote a article titled Hella Suck for his personal blog Rich Corinthian Leather. Hella Suck touched on his feelings towards what is now known as the stance movement and was published on Speed: Sport Life where Motor Mavens found it and all hell broke loose. If you have yet to read Hella Suck I suggest that you do, however might I also suggest that you take a deep breath before responding to it.

WTF Friday: By the power of Gray Skull

As a child of the 80s (84) and a product of syndicated Television I spent a lot of my youth watching cartoons such as Transformers, M.A.S.K, GI Joe, Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and He-man. All of these shows involved a some sort of crazy vehicle that made an awesome toy but not an awesome 1:1 vehicle. Thank god for people with money, skills, and determination because two of these vehicles regardless of their practicality have come to life.

You ma boy blue!

I came across this DC Integra when looking for cars with BMX bikes on the roof for this weeks Theme Tuesday. I know nothing about this car and can't remember which forum I saw it on so for all I know these photos could be very old. Regardless I liked the car and the photography so up it goes.

Doesn’t matter if you’re black or white

I don't post Acura NSX's nearly as often as I should, I posted this drift one and this one from CSCS5 sure, but other than that I can't really recall posting anymore.

Winter Wednesday: Apline White on Alpine White

After I got in last night, from shoveling snow at my fathers place, I decided to torture myself and look at coverage from Hella Flush 3.5. I quickly found my self among the Wrong Fitment Crew crowd. After seeing a while 3 that caught my eye I ended up on SocalMazda.Net, a site dedicated to Mazda's in Southern California.

Theme Tuesday: BMX bikes on roof racks

I am sure that I am not alone in noticing that roof racks have become a growing trend in VW, BMW, and Honda tuning scenes. While I am not sure how it started but it doesn't have any indication of going away. Since there are already lot of roof rack appreciation threads on the internet I figured to get a little creative with today's Theme Tuesday and only focus on cars with roof racks that have BMX bikes on them.

Event Coverage: The 2010 Toronto International Auto show

This Saturday I went to the Toronto International Auto show, which I used to go to all the time with my dad as a young buck but this is only my second year going as an 'adult'. Going the Saturday before the show closed was perhaps a mistake as the show got busier as the day went on making it harder and harder to take photos.

WTF Friday: Random internet wtfs

God bless the internet it's provided such things this week as Epic Beard Man, rumors of a Snookie sex tape (ugh), Gordon Lightfoot's death and today's collection of strange car related images. Bless you internet for without you I would be jobless.

Is this the first titled R33 in Canada?

For those of you living outside of Canada let me give you a quick break down on our car importation laws... they suck, and when I say they suck I mean they are strange. To tell you the truth I am not 100% on them, all I know is that going by our odd rules this R33 might be the first on our streets.

DC Squared

I was surfing JDMR the other day and I noticed that the red DC in this post is up for sale/being parted while the white one is going under the knife for a 2011 transformation. This means that these photos, which are not all that old, are now time capsules of the last time these cars wore their Mugen inspired look. I'm not sure what the owners plan to do next but judging by what they have already accomplished it's safe to say that what they are pushing in 2010 will look at least this good.

WTF Friday: So Who’s Worse?

It's no secret that in the quest to go as low and wide as possible some people have been known to cross the line between voids warranties and downright dangerous. Not long ago one particularily inept attempt appeared on Jalopnik and more recently people have been up in arms over a particular silver Celica from Japan.

Winter Wednesdays: Serenity Now

Winter. I'm over it, and about a month sooner than I usually am, not good. What is good however is this e30. Early US spec...

Eurokracy’s Finest 2013

The car that undoubtedly stole the show at Eurokracy 2013 was this teal, right hand drive, MK1 Rabbit. Built by Quebec City based Unix Performance this no holds barred, no expense sparred, beauty was hidden behind a wall of slack jawed on lookers almost the entire show and personally I stopped by the car on three different occasions in a vain attempt to take in all of the details.

S.I.E./Shell V power You’ve got gas contest

After doing the last, super successful, reader appreciation contest I said that anytime I am fortunate enough to have stuff to give away I was going to do it, and guess what I have more free stuff so here is another contest! The fine folks at Shell have given me the opportunity to give away $50 of Shell V-Power® gasoline to one lucky winner. Additionally if $50 of free gas isn't enough to feed your ground scraper, a years supply of shell gasoline is available to win via the Shell V-Power® "Fuel My Passion" contest.
