SEMA

Event Coverage: SEMA 2014 – The Beginning

As I type this I am at home resting my throbbing feet after two and a half days of frantically running around the Las Vegas Convention Centre capturing as much of SEMA as possible in...

2014 SEMA Showstopper: G3 Rods ’37 Packard Custom Classic

Every year I head to SEMA I have the hardest time figuring out exactly where to start the coverage. Inside? Outside? Cars? Trucks? Hot Rods? With so much to see it's truly daunting, and it only...

Event Coverage: Sema 2013 – Part. 5

Chances are pretty good I am going to say this every year I don't go for the rest of my life but, I really wish I went to SEMA this year. The feeling of missing out only intensified when I took some time this weekend to take a second pass through Rob's photos from SEMA 2013. Unfortunately until I've got some wealthy mistress bank rolling the site I'm going to have to keep the every other year thing going a little bit longer.

Event Coverage: Sema 2013 – Part. 4

The finish line is just around with corner with this years SEMA coverage provided by Performance Improvements, and today we've got photos  from Rob's last day at the show before he and his brother mashed the loud pedal back to Ontario. There is a diverse collection of vehicles and displays today including two cars representing Ontario well in Vegas which is always awesome to see.

Event Coverage: Sema 2013 – Part. 3

Back with more from SEMA 2013 coverage from the Performance Improvements gang. Today's collection of photos is mostly from the South Hall with a few cars from outside the convention center thrown in for good measure. Look for at least one more batch of SEMA coverage to come before we move onto the Texas Mile.

Event Coverage: Sema 2013 – Part. 2

Back today with part 2 of the Stance Is Everything / Performance Improvements coverage of the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas Nevada. When Rob offered to contribute coverage this year I wasn't really sure how many photos he'd be able to fire off between meetings and conferences that come with conducting business the week of the SEMA show.

SEMA Showstopper: Fuller Hot Rods Double Down

Rob from Performance Improvements shot me a message yesterday that he was wrapping up his photos from SEMA 2013 and to let him know if there was anything specific I wanted photos of. Without a moments hesitation I said I need (not want) more photos of the all wheel drive '32 Ford I've seen kicking around.

Event Coverage: Sema 2013 – Part. 1

I'm sure by now most of your social media feeds are flooded with content from the 2013 SEMA show, which is justifiable because as usual this years show looks awesome. Like yourselves I am not in Vegas this year but rather at home in Toronto wishing I'd have gone.

SEMA Showstopper: Ring Brothers Producer

Picking a car to end the 2012 SEMA coverage with wasn't exactly an easy task but I think this Ring Brothers built 65 Fastback is a fairly solid choice. Known as "The Producer" it's one of the best all round Mustang builds I have ever seen and the recipient of this years Goodguys Optima Batteries Street Machine of the Year award.

Event Coverage: SEMA 2012 Roll Out

Looking back it's a little strange that one of the events I was looking forward to most at SEMA 2012 was the roll-out at the end. They were pushing it pretty hard in the media centre and my imagination conjured up visions of an epic parade full of awesome cars dragging, drifting, and generally acting a fool on the streets of Las Vegas.

SEMA Showstopper: 36-24-36

A couple weeks ago I was at my mom's place flipping through an old issue of Ride BMX when I stopped on a photo of former Schwinn sponsored pro flatlander Andrew Faris doing a half...

Event Coverage: Sema 2012 – Part 6.

I've finally reached the point where more SEMA photos are behind me than ahead of me which means this is the last 40+ image post for SEMA 2012. I know for some the coverage seems a little excessive and drawn out but I view the opportunity to attend SEMA as a privilege that could potentially be revoked at any time so I don't want to ever have the feeling I could have done better once it's all said and done.
