      Front Rear Sedan

Normally I let Theme Tuesday posts stand alone but I'll make an exception today for this awesome home grown build by Liam of Dorimoto. Locals will probably remember Liam best for the 240 he used to slide around Cayuga and Mosport at previous CSCS drift competitions but that car has now been returned to the earth and now he's moved onto next.

Theme Tuesdays: Non Traditional, Traditional Lowriders

Reading that title you guys might think I wrote this a few beers in but hear me out. After stumbling upon the Datsun on wires that was posted in the 'Four On The Floor' Theme Tuesday I started thinking about other not so typical cars done up traditional lowrider style. Traditional meaning, lots of chrome, flake, gold, white walls, wires, supremes etc.

      Rascally Rabbit

As many of you would suspect I normally have quite a few tabs open at any given time, usually consisting of various forums, flickr accounts, blogs and vimeo pages. When things get to the point of scrolling excessively side to side I like to clean house and close a few tabs down. Last night I was doing just that when I came across a tab containing this rabbit which was opened lord knows how long ago.

Event Coverage: Mega Speed Part 4

I'll be concluding the 2012 Mega Speed coverage today with photos of the Imports, Euros, and Exotics along with a few of the exhibitors booths that were in the back hall of the International center. This post is a little tail heavy clocking in at about 50 or so photos so if you are on your phone maybe save this for when you can grab some wifi.

Event Coverage: Mega Speed Part 3

Keeping the Mega Speed Coverage moving here is the second set of classics, hot rods, and customs, along with a few assorted other things to help break things up a bit. The amount of time put into today's builds is truly remarkable.

Event Coverage: Mega Speed Part 2

I originally wasn't sure I'd be able to give the trucks of Mega Speed a post of their own but once I got through all of the photos it only made sense to dedicate the second part of the coverage to trucks. I'm not sure how the truck class compared to last year because they were not very centralized this year and by the time I left I was still finding new ones.

Theme Tuesdays: Borbet Type A Appreciation

With their chunky twist on the classic five spoke the Borbet Type A is a wheel that people love as much as they hate. Personally it took me a long time to warm up to the raised center caps, but after pulling this post together I realized that like everything else it all comes down to sizing and application.

Event Coverage: Mega Speed Part 1

Being one of my favorite shows in the area I was pretty worried when I heard that Performance World was no more because it was one of the few shows that catered to every part of the automotive hobby. Thankfully the Mega Speed Custom Car and Truck Show team (which I hear is a lot of the same people behind Performance World) picked right up where P.W. left off and as a spectator I didn't really notice a difference between this new show and the previous shows.

      WTF Friday: Throw Some D’s

I was reading something the other day about Lil Wayne signing a whole pile of irrelevant rappers, singers, and Limp Bizkit(!?) which for whatever reason triggered a memory of the song 'Throw Some D's' by Rich Boy. That ear worm reminded me of this story from a few years ago about an e36 driver that ended up with a wire wheel embedded in his windshield.

      A Visit To: Taylor’d Customs

At Performance World 2010 I saw my first Taylor'd Customs build (their unique weather worn bagged Impala) a year later at the same show I saw another one of their builds (the Canadian Hot Rod Featured Montbomb) sitting in the main hall behind a wall of well deserved onlookers who simply couldn't get enough of car. Now just over two years later I've had the pleasure of both featuring their 57 Chevy and checking out the shop where all the magic happens.

      This’ll wake you up

On a typical workday, the alarm on my phone tortures me to wake up at 7:30am, 8:00am, 8:15am, 8:30am, 8:45am, and 9:00am. That's right. I'm so terrible at waking up I need six separate alarms. Then, one day last week I woke up naturally before my alarms. Barely awake, and struggling to see anything, I roll over to check the time on my phone and notice I have e-mail from Hoda, our favourite reader from Japan.

Theme Tuesdays: Four On The Floor?

Today's Theme Tuesday originally started off as a follow up to the Tripoding Theme Tuesday from September of 2010 but then progressed into one that had cars with varying amounts of wheels on the ground. Most of these are caused by a stiff suspension, steep angles, speed, or a combination of all three but a couple juice induced.
