Two Local Heart Transplants

I've never been a vehicle purist, I am all about doing whatever it takes to get your vehicle to suit your needs, if a motor from another company fits under the hood of your car and can make more power cheaper than one of it's parent brand then by all means put it in there. If you are a die hard Honda Hatch fan and an RWD vehicle fan at the same time and the only way to combine the two means sacrificing a clean CRX shell that a lot of people would pay good money for than so be it. As long as the end result is better than what it started as then why not cut, weld, and modify? I love off the wall builds and these two are some of the GTA's finest.

This is how it’s done

Being Canada's largest bmw community maxbimmer.com is known for having a few nice rides, however it's been minute since someone on Max built up a simple, clean, low, e36. Doogee has been a max member for awhile now and every time he started a new thread with photos of his car I saved them for a future e36 Theme Tuesday. When he got a new set of wheels and spun his coil overs down I knew that this car deserved a post all to itself.

The White Stripes

I spotted these local E90/E92/E93 chassis BMWs during my travels on maxbimmer.com. New luxury cars with a nice set of rims and a drop are the perfect union of stance and class.

That Neon

That Neon I posted in the "Working with what what you've got post" is pretty sick, but I wasn't sure if y'all would appreciate a post dedicated to it's a first generation Neon. However I noticed yesterday that reader Cody Ace was interested in seeing more photos of it, and since I aim to please I decided to throw up the 3 additional photos I have of the car.

WTF Friday: Take that Physics!

Normally I have my WTF Friday topic picked out pretty early in the week and find myself biting my tongue all week long. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to share it with more people, it was actually hard for me to not just throw it up on my facebook and msn it to my friends. I like things that shouldn't be and the Scania R99 probably shouldn't be.

Dat Ass

I'm not sure if everyone's up on internet memes but one that has been kicking around for a few years now is "Dat Ass". This one started with a picture of rapper Rich Boy biting his lower lip, looking at the picture it's easy to imagine he just saw a girl with a nice Gluteus maximus bit his bottom lip and made that 'ssss' noise right before saying look at 'dat ass'. Its really the best thing Rich Boy ever contributed to the internet and the segue I am using to post some cars with nice rear ends.

Working with what you’ve got

Sometimes in life you just have to work with what you've got and other times you have to improvise and this is true of the car hobby. Not all of us have a say in what we currently drive and some of us willingly choose to drive something a little left of the norm. Regardless resourceful automotive folk are, well, resourceful automotive folk and while some are quick to pass over whatever is currently sitting in their driveway, shop, or yard others are willing to work with what they have got. Today's cars are examples of just that.

Some from the reserves

Not, not the armed reserves, my reserve of photos that I have saved from here and there for days when I don't have quite enough time to pop off something 100% local or 100% original. This weekend basically went a little pear shaped after my car failed it's E-test and since my license expires tomorrow it has spilled over into a problem I need to deal with today, however, that's no reason to leave my readers hanging.

Copy Cat?

This is really weird to me and I shared it via twitter a few days ago. I never saw this car before I got my new wheels but then I came across it a few days ago on bike guide. I don't know if we are running the exact same wheels but it looks like we have the same drop, exhaust, and lip.

Blast from the past: Randy Sparre’s E30

Yesterday I went to cover a local e30 meet and as usual Jay (Mystkial) and I chatted about e30s that have come and gone from the GTA scene over the years. While there has been an astonishing number of e30s that just up and disappeared the most famous of all the disappearing acts would have to be Randys Super charged S52, Reiger Kitted, Honda Blue, 325. This car set had a huge impact on the e30 scene at the time so lets go back and take a look at why.

Muthaf*cka can you buy that?

I saw these wheels for sale on maxbimmer.com and even though at an asking price fo $2300 they are worth what I sold my entire e30 for I really think someone without my shoe string budget should scoop up these refinished RS's because they are absolutely stunning. The specs are as follows:

AWOL – The Teaser

I saw this video posted on JDMrides.ca and knew immediately that I had to share it with more people. I am not sure whats in that UK water but these are consistently cranking out high quality videos of their scene. However their is no doubt in my mind that with guys like Chris Hoare in our scene that we will soon be cranking out more dope videos of our own.
