It’s been awhile since I dropped some Random Dopeness, and I have had this set ready for quite some time so it’s time, so it’s time to  throw  one  up.

WTF Friday: One year already?

9

Before I jump into today’s WTF Friday (a fast Saturn) I thought I should mention that a year ago today was when I published the first post on stanceiseverything.com

It’s really exciting that an idea that took losing my job to become reality has come this far in such a short time. Now 13 Featured Rides, 36 covered Events, 49 Theme Tuesdays, and 975 comments later S.I.E. is still here and going strong.

Thanks to everyone reading this, this site/blog wouldn’t be what it is today without you keeping me motivated. Now without further adieu today’s WTF Friday.

Now this might be old now but I just found out about two guys out in Tenesse who built a 427 powered Outlaw style drag car out of a 2006 Saturn ION.

When asked on yellowbullet.com why a Saturn the simply answered

The car was basically given to us, so we figured why not? Might as well.

The factory fire wall is still intact, the doors open, and it’s full street legal. Wild.

One mean looking ION
So wild
Factory dash more or less untouched
Really clean trunk considering how tubbed it is
Most of the interior is untouched

Site Updates

Seche Media is producing my newest batch of stickers including a new thicker font url sticker, two tone “I Like Em Dropped” stickers and a bunch of new colors. Can’t wait to get this batch in.

Meanwhile my car goes in for coil-overs and camber arms tomorrow at Advance Power House so I am really looking forward to that.

New parts thanks to Next Mod: HIDs, spacers, BC Coil overs

If the weather holds out I should be able to roll out with my new stance to an e30 meet as well, regardless Saturday is enough excitement to make the weekend fun. 🙂

Flash Back Friday

In honor of the 1 year gotta send it back to the first post no matter how embarrassing.

Pretty sure this is Sean Dubs car pre... a lot of things

Event Coverage: Summer Sizzle 2

11

Last Sunday I attended Summer Sizzle 2 put on by Pur Secretz at Vonn Cycle, and even though the calendar had yet to tick over to ‘Summer’ it was sizzling out.

The show had a pretty big turnout and a lot going on (especially for a free show) so I was there for quite awhile between walking around and shooting the breeze in the shade.

Ruff Ryders’

The Ruff Ryders anthem came out in 1998, which means that it’s 12 years old now. I had no idea people were still reppin’ the crew though.

Double R!
This dude was reppin
As was the owner of this wagon

Euro

Surprisingly small European turn out at Summer Sizzle few guys held it down though.

The second local e46 I have seen on Volks
Dope, clean Audi
Got a few more pictures of this A3 coming soon
This CF wrapped TT caused a stir when it rolled up

Porsche

One from the old school one from the new school

The front is popped for the ICE setup if you were wondering
I would love to have this in my garage

Mazdas’

A lot of the local Mazda community came out to this show, some to hang out and some to compete. Almost everyone competing had switched things up since the last time I had seen them.

Ryan changed the vinyl on his car from last week
I still want a speed.
Shout out to all the Mazda5 lovers
Mike was in the house with his RX-8 on works

Hyundai/Toyota/Nissan/Lexus/Infiniti/Subaru

Imports that were not Hondas…

The best looking Matrix I have seen in the GTA
This G35 had quite the set up going on, concourse level of clean
Under hood shot of the same car
Genesis are on the come up
More of this car coming as well
Sic Ryde had his Lex out
After winning lowest static the day before
MR-2 on Advans, I heard he won his class
Krystn put some work into her STI

Domestic

This thing was massive, note the stacks
Bagged J body
Full trunk setup
With some boost
Another show style J body
With a super charger, wonder which of these to J's is faster?
Custom painted 300c
The first G8 I've seen modified
Looks pretty damn good I must say

Acura/Honda

Some of the Honda lineup
Swing up doors...
Tidy lookin Acura
This might have been a Viper color, looks really close if not
More Advans, this time on a turbo RSX, dig the color matching
Cool to see one of these at a show, they are scarce in these parts with quarters intact
I wouldn't mind seeing more people play with this color
This purple Civic looked pretty good on e30 basket weaves
NSX with lots of Carbon fiber
Front could come down some
Shame it's auto
This civc was all function and gets nothing but love

Model

There was a Bikini car was at the show but it was out in the direct sun, shooting pictures of this model from the shade was much easier later in the day.

Leaning into Gary's widebody e46
Ruff Ryders wag getting some model love
If you are reading this that Pontiac is supercharged and bagged

That’s it for Summer Sizzle, many more events to come this summer, I might end up with Event Coverage every week…

Rotary work out

10

Local Toronto rotary driver Mike has had his RX-8 for a little while now and recently decided to raise the RX-8 bar in Toronto by installing a brand new set of 19×8.5 (+38) and 19×10(+36) Work VS-XX rims wrapped in 235/35/19 & 265/30/19 Yokohama S-drive tires.

To keep his car from looking like a 4×4 on his ballin new set of wheels he brought the height down with a set of Tien Flex coilovers.

These two modifications really set off his ride and I can’t imagine how many people see this car and simply drool over these wheels, Mikes got great taste.

Nothing sets off a ride better than brand new kicks
I am thinking the VS-xx will be as classic as the LM
Nice raked stance and fitment
Will see all these cars in person at Voice Coil Meltdown

Just how BMW would have wanted it

1

Local e30 guru and the organizer of the last GTA e30 meet, Rudy, recently gave his e30 a face lift.

Previously I said Rudy had what was perhaps the cleanest 325is in Toronto but now it is hands down the cleanest oem MTECH II kitted 325is in Toronto.

Dropped on ‘Euroweaves’ Rudy’s new look is a perfect example of how a proper stance can compliment oem accessories perfectly.

E30’s like this make me regret selling mine.

Rudys car previously
A perfeclty lines up, perfectly matched, mtech II kit is a thing of beauty

This car is no ‘hard parker’, Rudy drives it on the street, auto cross course and the track.

See that smile? That's what an e30 does
Turn in, hold on
Dialed

Theme Tuesdays: Subaru clearance sale

1

My Stance Is Everything folder was simply over flowing with photos of Subarus which I had a few different ideas in mind how I could break them up into a few different Theme Tuesday posts but decided to hell with it I can always collect more later.

Here is a lot of AWD low.

One tidy Forrester
and another
If you can keep white rims clean they really pop
I dig this
BC coils spun all the way down
Cruisin low
Asphalt gray rims work great with the white paint and dark tints
Gold grids, not mad
Gorgoues
My god this car is dirty
Fantastic fitment
Stickered lips are not for everyone, this car pulls it off
Same car, back shot
Black and debadged
Paint looks immaculate
Wonder what's under the cover
Dialed stance
The perfect balance of tire, lack of gap, and flushness
mister hashimoto is now RHD
I will end with this conversation piece

Victoria Day Mazda 3 Photoshoot

4

Last week my friend Chris, from Toronto Mazda 3 gave me a shout asking if I wanted to take part in a little photo shoot/meet on the May 24 holiday Monday.

Having nothing better to do I cleaned my car, grabbed my girlfriend and headed out, here are some of the resulting photos my girlfriend took of the day.

Group shot of all the cars, notice I am the only hatch...
The man who organized it all
I still think one day I am going to end up with a set of rx-8 rims
When Joe first got this car I was skeptical of the color but it looks great now
Can not wait until my correct size spacers arrive
This is Lyndsey's favorite shot of the day
The reflective building was her idea
Angry Monkey!
Ryan's car is still changing weekly
Ryan and I hung around after everyone left to discuss BC coilovers as he is on them
Do not worry I have more low coming soon 🙂

TM3 guys if you want high res versions of this shoot just send me an email.

Event Coverage: Street Classics May 24 2010

5

Last Saturday I felt the need for a little bit of change from the super slammed, stretch tire, flush type of stance and decided to head out to the weekly Street Classics Show and Shine at Canadian Tire Etobicoke and take in some real American Metal.

Since it was a long weekend the turnout was smaller than usual but 20 cars or 200 I still enjoy these shows, it’s something about the atmosphere.

Interesting fact the first event I ever covered for this blog was one of these.

Boulevard Cruisers

I always get a kick out of curb feelers
This color photographs so well
The plates on this Falcon are crazy, not sure how the owner got them?

Other

Fairly sure my car could fit in this long bed
This old Army Jeep was pretty cool
Old communications radios were so big!
Top speed of 60 MPH, sick.
I was really taken aback at how clean this was considering the age and previous life
This Fiat 600R looks like it would be a fun little go kart
Clean hopped up little ride
My librarian in Elementary school had an MG, I was always staring at it, he hated me though

Rods

Every time I see this car I am drawn in by its fantastic black paint
I am pretty sure this color would not work on anything else
Smooth
I love this one, very well put together

Muscle

Say what you will about the Fire Chicken graphic I have always dug it
Super Sport
Nice black 69
This Nova was a little rough around the edges but still a sick ride
Hood guages are legit
Doubtful you would ever see this in your rear view

Got some more event coverage coming this week and quite a few local cars, going to be a busy one!

New URL Stickers

1

Quick little post today. I have redesigned the basic url stickers a little thicker so that they stand out a bit more as the original ones were a little thin and  just need to ask  you guys what colors you want to see them in.

Go wild and the most popular colors here and on facebook will be produced.

Original, Redesigned, alternate possibility

I plan on ordering the new batch Wednesday and will keep updating the color suggestions on this page until then.

Color Suggestions as of June 1

Purple, Gold, Yellow,

WTF Friday: Compact Disasters

7

I have nothing against compact cars, if you need something to drive with the misses and are not really concerned about performance or hauling miscellaneous crap around with you then they are perfect..

However when modifying them it’s best to not use a heavy handed approach but rather with a certain grace & finesse. Most certainly not with a full size body kit and a large quantity of body filler. These talented, but misguided body men decided to throw caution to the wind and go all in, here are the results.

GT:50% – Gone in 60 Minutes

This one is based on a smart car, and um… looks like so:

GT 50%
Looks like a robot face...
What an awkward looking model

Funny Porsche

Guess what this kit bash was based on and win a set of the standard URL stickers!

This is what happens when you want one thing but can afford another
Shockingly well done though...
Guessing what this is shouldn't be too hard for the Europe crowd

Site Updates

I am going to be work on some new sticker designs this weekend, no excuses. I am making one new url sticker and going to put the designs up on facebook and let the winner be decided there.

When I order the stickers I am going to get more ‘I Like Em Dropped’ stickers in different colors. I am also looking into getting 2 color one’s made so you guys don’t have to color in the panties yourself. I know the store image is a bit of a tease since I don’t actually sell that but I am going to work on it.

Patience my friends 🙂

As for a bit of a personal thing with my car, my spacers and camber arms finally arrived and I am just waiting on my coil overs now and then I will be able to debute my new stance shortly after that.

5mm spacers for all around, Megan Camber arms, almost there...

I felt I had to rep a bit harder this year after looking at all of the cars you guys send in and the ones at the events.

My ultimate goal is no fender gap, no tucking, and no poking. I want the perfect balance of everything as this is what I have always wanted in my own vehicles and it’s about time I got it. Can’t wait.

Flashback Friday

Dan recently commented on this post so lets throw some light on the Star Status Feature.

Love this car.

To date this is my longest, and most extensive feature, and I learned a lot while doing it and would love the chance to do one again.

Probably hit up an event or two on the weekend so see you guys on Monday.
