That colour

If you checked out the fanpage today you probably noticed that I spent some of my lunch crusining around local vw forum idub.ca and honeslty I obviously don't do that nearly enough. In addition to some great photos from Wonger I found this awesome MK6 Golf on polished and colour matched LMs.

WTF Friday: Minitruck

It feels like I should have posted this truck before, but from what I can tell I have not. I am probably getting it confused with other small vehicles like a Nash Metropolitan or this 'Postman Pat' car, at any rate this custom truck is pretty damn cool.

WTF Friday: Turn down the suck

To most people putting a big blown motor into a Chevy Corvair doesn't make a whole lot of sense (considering it was included in the book "Unsafe At Any Speed") but to at least one builder in the 70s it made perfect sense. Presumably using the logic that if you have to steer a whole lot in a quarter mile you are probably already in trouble Richard Guess stuffed a blown 327 in the his '72.

Kia

Last year, in the Nextmod BBQ event coverage, I got called out by a local Kia Soul owner for hardly ever posting Kias. This struck me as odd because the SIE support vehicle (aka my girlfriends car) and I have actually looked into lowering but the aftermarket support for that platform is just so limited which is why most stay stock and thus don't appear here.

WTF Friday: Twin Engine Echo

Pretty well topping my list of 'things I didn't expect to see this week ever' would have to be this twin engine Toyota Echo. I'm not currently up to date with what goes in on the Echo world but I have reason to believe that this car doesn't represent the average Echo owner especially when you consider that the car puts down 503hp at 8.5psi.

Well I never

Didn't have a whole lot of time to work on the Spring Fling coverage last night so until I get a chance to put that up this evening (or tomorrow) I'm going to post this e31 on Work Emitz wheels I spotted on the Stance Works forums a few weeks ago. I must say I never thought these wheels and this car would work together so well.

WTF Friday: What you did there… I see it

Patina, as a car styling element, is an interesting thing. Many feel that cars need to earn their patina through years of dedicated service, or in some cases neglect, like this 51 COE, and the Taylor'd 57, while others think it patina is something that can applied or encouraged, using home brewed concoctions and techniques similar to what was done to Rusty.

Shoe Fetish

I feel as though at any time you could say "Dan recently got new wheels" and stand a 70% chance of being right. Dan being a member of Level One, and the owner of the yellow s2000 you have probably seen on Tuned-Life, Stretch & Poke, and Stance Nation, in addition to event coverage here.

Pfaff Tuned

Looks like gabrielb25 from jdmrides caught Pfaff Tunning's 964 project out in the wild on Sunday. Erik has been keeping me updated on this project since the beginning but these photos really do a good job of showcasing just how nice this car came out.

Theme Tuesdays: Local Builds Part 1

It's been awhile since a build thread has appeared here, and with the season almost completely in full swing today seemed like the perfect time to post some of the local builds I've been following. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of these builds are at the first Stretch & Poke event on Sunday.

Horse Show

Mustangs two weeks in a row? What's going on? Though most of the Mustang crowd hates the cars posted on this site those that are into the low life sure know how to put together an eye pleasing car.

Ponyboy

Whenever I see a low Mustang with stretched rubber I always wonder how the Mustang community reacts to it. I am going to go out on a limb and say that there are probably more against such treatment than for. This just gives me more respect for those with Mustangs willing to go against the herd.
