Why I want a Subaru #141312

I Found this Subaru on bikeguide, a bmx message board, with no link or info. Google searching Eric Tong, and Joe Dantone lead me their respective facebook pages where I noted that these photos were taken in October of 2010. While that doesn't make this photo set new by any means, there is simply no way I couldn't post photos of this car. The exterior is clean, the stance is on point and the photographers captured the car beautifully.

Theme Tuesdays: Slammed Big Rigs

Last week I played things pretty safe with the Vintage JDM Theme Tuesday This week I've decided to not go as safe and finally post up a Theme Tuesday I've been working on for awhile: Slammed Big Rigs. Sure slamming a big rig is kind of a silly thing to do but I wouldn't complain if I saw these on the road hauling McDonalds patties.

Papermate

Hat's off too anyone who's rocking a white on white setup well, the constant up keep that is required combined with the fact that there are so many different shades of white to contend with makes it much harder to 'white out' a car then black one out. Those are the excuses I use for not doing it anyway. Never the less when properly executed the look is hard look to beat.

Guest Coverage: El Paso Solo Championship

My mindset is still somewhat performance driving oriented this morning after spending the day out on the track yesterday for the first time (more on that later this week) so I figured I would roll with it and post some photos from March 6th - 1st Solo Championship in El Paso Texas submitted by reader Aaron R. Jackson. What he sent through is just a small sampling of the cars that came out but nonetheless it shows that the auto cross community in Texas is not only thriving but also encompasses a variety of different cars.

WTF Friday: The tip of the iceberg

I found a thread last night so full of WTF Friday content that I couldn't help but share a few of them on twitter last night. I couldn't believe the 'quality' of some of the cars lying within. The amount of work people without lots of taste are capable of astounds me. The thread in question has been bookmarked for later use because it's seriously packed with gems like today's car which started as... um, something and was turned into something with a fish tank in the boot.

Is this real life?

Not sure how or where I came across this car, and I have not seen it anywhere since. Even typing a few search terms into Google didn't really return anything relevant (to this car at least). To make things more bleak I renamed the photos as I saved them so who knows what they were originally called. If I only had one photo saved I would have sworn it was a photo shop, but since there are three...

Featured Ride: Jon’s 350z

A few years ago I saw a Volkswagen Mark II with a sticker on it that read "CCM - Clean Car Revolution" and while I'm fairly certain that at this point the owner of that car, and whoever coined that phrase, has moved on the revolution continues to live through cars like Jon's 2004 350z. Clean might be a word I use far too often on this site but it's the perfect word to describe Jon's car because it looks simply amazing without the need for a wild body kit, loud paint, or camber that's practically horizontal.

Winter Wednesdays: Too soon junior

Last week the weather got fairly mild with a few double digit days and since this happened right at the end of winter (according to the calendar) people got excited. However this always happens late March and as soon as you have your car back to summer mode it snows the following week just as reminder that it's not over till it's over. So I did nothing, mid to late April for me, never before!

Theme Tuesdays: Vintage JDM

A few weeks ago, before Japan was devastated by intense tsunami's and earthquakes, my friend Aidan put forth the suggestion that I do a post on vintage JDM rides and even sent in a few pics to get me started. Japan's had a lot of influence the way we tune our cars here in North America and are thus held in pretty high regard. What's happened there currently is terrible but I have no doubt in my mind that years down the road, once it's all cleaned up Japan will emerge stronger than ever.

WTF Friday: Someone must know more

Generally with WTF Friday posts I like to have more info than I do today but try as I might I can't seem to drum up any additional information or photos pertaining to this particular car. Here is what I know: the chassis is a Terraplane (a Detroit company active between '32 and '38) and sitting between it's frame rails is a radial motor that one can only assume is from an air plane. Pony Fotos took photos of this car in 2012 at an event called Headbanging and somehow it seems that no one else even noticed it.

Theme Tuesdays: Sick S2000s: 2

Time for me to purge my hard drive of 90% of the s2000 pictures I have saved because it's becoming hard to remember which I have posted and which I have not. I'll admit when s2000s first came out I wasn't all about them but, as the years go by and more people let loose on them the more I dig.

Theme Tuesdays: Classic American Trucks

I've been posting the odd classic truck (50s to early/mid 80s) both here and on the fan page for the past few months but for whatever reason I have never really posted them in mass. Today is the the day I change that. Quite a few of these trucks are fat fender Chevys or squared up C-10s but don't take that as a sign of me being a Chevy over Ford guy.

The 2018 Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo

Flawless custom trucks, traditional hod rods, LS powered Audis and high horsepower Nissan straight sixes the Motorama 2018 had something for everyone.

Proof that suspension can make anything cool

I am sure a lot of you may not have ever heard of a Lada let alone seen one in person (I have not) so when I Spotted this quick progressing build over on Maxbimmer.com I figured it was worth sharing since it proves that with a little drop and elbow grease damn near anything can look cool.
