Event Coverage: The 2015 Detroit Autorama

It only took one trip for Detroit Autorama to obtain permanent residence in my favorite shows of all time list, and calling it one of the best all around events in North America is probably selling it a...

WTF Friday: What Has Been Seen Cannot Be Unseen

I get that drift missiles are a bit of a 'thing' right now (to the chagrin of many) but I think even the most carefree of missile pilots would see this car as a little...

Theme Tuesdays: Street Car Livery

A couple weeks ago Gill from The Scraped Crusaders posted a rendering on Facebook and captioned it "I hope full liveries become a thing in Toronto". That comment instantly got the gears going in my head to dedicate...

Ultra Box 2002

The first time I spotted this car it was via cell phone photos embedded in a comment thread over on SpeedHunters. Instantly spawning a sub conversation of its own myself and many others were hungry to...

Theme Tuesdays: Lettin’ The Sparks Fly: Part 4

Theme Tuesday: New Wheel Companies Part – 2

About three quarters of the way through writing last weeks Theme Tuesday I realized that there was no way to fit all of the companies I wanted into a post of reasonable length. What I didn't realize is how well received that post would be! I was honestly a little worried it would flop, now I might have to look into doing parts 3 and maybe for further down the road.

Theme Tuesday: Muscle Part II

I mentioned in my last Performance Improvements article that as a wee lad the first time I noticed stance of any sort was on a muscle car. The exaggerated forward rake that was in at the time made it stand out amongst all the factory cars I was used to seeing and it was the first time I realized I didn't much care for stock height.

Worth A Watch: ELTA Summer Bash

At the Reunited Car Show last summer, Ratso Italiano owner John Wooley told me about an event that took place a few weeks prior...

Theme Tuesdays: Holden FJ/X

Being upside down to the Holden Fj/X's place of origin (Australia) I don't know a lot about these cars. However when my friend Ollie...

Theme Tuesdays: Vintage Aftermarket Performance Ads

I've always found the advertising tactics used in after market performance magazines a little puzzling because the artwork, and or photos, often have little to no correlation with the product being sold. For example how is a woman, standing in the middle of a desert, holding a sub, with lighting striking behind her, at all representative of a quality audio product? I guess the easiest answer to this question is sex has and always will sell, and deserts are easier to manipulate with Photoshop than street scenes.
