Theme Tuesdays: Whitewalls

While reading another excellent Keith Charvonia feature on SpeedHunters it became alarmingly apparent that I have yet to do a Theme Tuesday on the classic white wall tire. Unsurprisingly there were a number of cars equipped with said tires on my hard drive so this one came together fairly quickly.

Event Coverage: 2013 Niagara Tuner & Truck Expo – Part 1.

After being unable to make the Nine-O-Five Rides Tuner and Truck Expo in 2012 I was glad the event organizers reached out with an invitation to attend and sponsor this years event. Leading up to the show the forecast was fairly bleek and in most cases a 90% chance of thunder showers would be the kiss of death for an event.

Event Coverage: Street Classics 2013 Season Opener

Got the opportunity to check out the Street Classics 2013 season opener on Saturday. I ended up leaving the house a little bit late which meant that sadly I missed some of the people who ducked out early to go onto other long weekend festivities. The smaller amount of cars didn't bother me too much however because last year I didn't make it to nearly enough of these events so I was just happy to be out.

Theme Tuesdays: Cadillacs

This weekend I was watching Donnie Brasco and the Cadillac vs Lincoln debate combined with the sheer number of Caddys used in the movie set today's Theme Tuesday in motion. No real year, or model sub theme just a small collection of low cars adorned with the Cadillac emblem.

Event Coverage: 2013 Detroit AutoRama: Pt. 1

The Detroit Autorama is one of those shows I've been meaning to attend for several years but always put off until next year because of it's distance from my house.  Having now attended the show I feel foolish for letting a drive that really isn't all that far keep me from a show that is really worth attending. Autorama showcased some of the most impressive builds of any show I've been too. Traditional Hot Rods, Customs, Mini trucks, and several things in between were all jam packed into the two levels of the Cobo Center.

WTF Friday: Road Trip!

Quick post today as it's been a bit of a crazy week and in a few minutes I am heading to Michigan with Blair (of Taylor'd Customs), John (Widebody Mazda 3 owner), and a friend of theirs. First stop Air Lift Performance in Lansing then if time permits the Henry Ford Museum.

Event Coverage: Sema 2012 – Part 4.

I love American classics and this year I didn't get the chance to check out nearly as many classic cruise nights as I would have liked so SEMA served as a great way for me to catch up on American Iron. There were awesome builds literally as far as the eye could see and I had to constantly remind myself not to spend all of my time (or card space) on the classics.

Event Coverage: Sema 2012 – Part 1.

Traditionally a Theme Tuesday post would be in place of this one but since I didn't have time to get one finished before leaving for Vegas I am going to get right into the 2012 SEMA coverage. Since attending in 2010 I've been itching to get back and based on what I saw outside the convention center yesterday SEMA 2012 is going to surpass my expectations.

Event Coverage: Rockstar Motorsports Charity Show And Shine

I've heard good things about Rockstar Motorsports through Brett, Kiwee, and Neil but up until Saturday I had never actually been to the shop myself so after helping (standing around) Lyndsey with a photo shoot we rolled the new support vehicle over to the Rockstar facility in Oakville to see what was up. The turnout was better than I expected which was great to see because it was a charity event aimed at helping a family that recently lost someone to cancer.

Theme Tuesdays: Now Who Makes The Music?

I've been meaning to do a post where all of the captions are song lyrics for some time now but I had been putting it off because I kept forgetting which lyrics I wanted to reference soon after the song finished. However using the last set of Importfest tickets I have to give away as motivation I've managed to pull together 14 for today's post.

This is big business… The American way

I love long, low, American cars, and by now I am sure you have all realized this. This Cadillac is particularly low and long and I wish I knew more about it but I've got nothing.

WTF Friday: Domestic Sandwhich

This... is a little weird. I've seen wild front end conversions, wild rear conversions, and entire body swaps but a front and rear end conversion done to one car using two different brands. The front of this car from a fifth generation Mustang, the rear is from a C5 Corvette, and sandwiched between the two is the orignal car with is a fourth generation Mustang.
