Winter Wednesdays: idub

The guys from idub.ca dropped a link to their fanpage on the Stance Is Everything fanpage the other week and since I had not been to the site in awhile I took a look around. After a few laps around the forums I loaded up the homepage and found the following pictures of Justin's GTI.

Guest Blog: Theme Tuesdays: Air Bag Love Pt. 2

One of the most unnecessary arguments in the automotive community, in my opinion, is the static vs air debate. I just don't get it, people should get down how they want to get down and that should be the end of it.

Exactly what you can afford pal… Ferrari

The wheels pictured in this post are pretty damn rad, originally manufactured by Campagnolo (Campy to the cyclists) for a 77 Ferrari 08 GT4 the owner sent them to rotiform for redrilling and refinishing so he could mount them to his Jetta.

Guest Coverage: Fitted Fes 1

Late in 2011 I got a fairly larger order from a Takafumi Ebata, a Stance Is Everything reader from Japan. The first time I sent out the order I misread it and as a result a few things were missing, so to make amends I resent the entire order along with some freebies from the mystery box. Fast forward a few weeks and Takafumi showed his appreciation by sending through some photos from Fitted Fes 1 which took place January 22nd in Nagashima Japan.

Winter Wednesdays: Ready For Whatever

Gotta hand it to Volkswagen guys, especially air cooled drivers, because they prove time and time that nothing phases them. Low + Snow? No problem Low + Snow + Ragtop? Snow problem there either. Makes me feel like a sissy for using the heat in my car.

Theme Tuesdays: I Like Mine With No Shine – part 2

2010. That post was made up of mostly black cars and with a couple cars switched out it could have easily passed for a 'murdered out' Theme Tuesday. This go round I took a little more time picking out the cars to include and pulled together a wider variety of cars including modern, euro, and the cars mysteriously missing from the last post, classics.

Theme Tuesdays: VW Harlequin’s Part II

In trying to keep some variety in the Theme Tuesdays (and posts in general) I decided to keep the import and American Theme Tuesdays on the hard drive this week and do something else. Originally the plan was to finalize the Type A Theme Tuesday but after stumbling across the first Harlequin in today's post that was put on the back burner. I never expected this theme to make it to a second round but I'm glad it did.

2011 Event Year In Review: Part 2

Today I'll continue running down the list of events I attended in 2011. Hopefully you enjoyed the look back at the first twelve, there will be thirteen more today to cover all 25 from 2011. I enjoyed all of the events I attended this year but I am always up to check out new ones so if there is a local event that you think I should attend feel free to let me know via the comments or an email.

2011 Event Year In Review: Part 1

What a year 2011 was event wise in Ontario. It seemed like there was something going on at least every other weekend, if not every weekend, often with two events occurring at the same time. While I did my best to make it to most of the major local events (as well as some of the underexposed ones) it was pretty much impossible for me to attend them all, luckily a few people helped me out with great Guest Coverage again this year. This post will be a chronological run through of the first twelve events I attended in 2011.

Theme Tuesdays: Favourite Shots of 2011

I had another theme ready to go today until I realized that this was the last Tuesday of the year and I should do something 'special' for the occasion. Going to events and shooting features for a year adds up to a large number of photos and since I have never really brought together my personal favourites before I figured that was enough of a theme to go with for today. These shots are in no particular order.

3SDM

UK based wheel company 3SDM has been forwarding me both studio shots of their wheels and mounted shots for a couple of months now but the most recent use of their '0.01' wheels was the first to really catch my eye. Kind of unavoidable given the color these wheels are painted, but custom orange finish aside the concave of these 18x9.5 wheels suit this 'dub well. Though a car this low and clean you could probably slap Ronal Bears on it and I might like it.

Not Quite Winter Wednesday

Go figure that the day I finally decide to post these photos of Neil's bagged MKV in winter mode it starts to snow a little here in the Toronto. Neil basically got the jump on all of us this year in regards to winter preparation because his car has been setup like this since September. Though if my winter mode looked this good I wouldn't feel too bad about being extra early with the switch over either.
