If I were to guess I would say I have had these pictures saved on my hard drive for at least 8 months and never posted them.
Why I never posted these pictures before I can’t say but what I can say is this MK5 looks fantastic sitting on AMG Aero II wheels looks great. Carrying the wheel color to the front bumper is a good look.
Ride low park lower.Badgless with the hood notch filled, done rightOne brands trash, another brands treasureWell executed.
Last night I attended a Winter Driving event at Grand Prix Kartways put on by Canadian Tire. The overall mission of the seminar was how to be prepared for winter driving, in short get winter tires, have a snow brush, top up your fluids, and brake early.
While I knew these things already it’s great to see that Canadian Tire is trying to educate more people so the chances of getting wrecked in the winter is much less. As a bonus we all got some free laps on the track at GPK, along with some other schwag.
Being the only auto-blogger in the house it was mandatory I podium-ed. I held it down at second place, and I will get first next time I swear.
For this weeks Winter Wednesday here is a Porsche getting busy in the snow, completely safe of course.
I would love to take a Porsche out to the mountain to snowboardBut by the looks of it I wouldn't make it out to the hill...
Snow skipped Mississauga somehow but everyone else got dumped on ha.
Similar to how I did a one two VW MKII and MKI combo a couple months back I’ve decided to do the same with e30s by following up the second E30 Theme Tuesday with the second E30 M3 Theme Tuesday.
When I was looking at the official list of cars for GT5 I was pretty shocked to see that the e30 m3 was not included. Polyphony had better fix that by December 25th when I get my copy of GT5 as this is the only way I’ll be driving one. Probably.
Lookin’ good
M3’s lookin good sitting still.
Best of enemies, Best of FriendsLocal hotnessThese side mirrors look a little out of place on the standard e30 but great on the MI'll never get sick of BBS wheels.Another shot of the same car, I just wish it had the standard kidney grillsFor whatever reason green is a fairly uncommon e30 colorThis picture is pretty ridiculousThe dark side never looked so appealingMore DarthNürburgring vetKiller color and wheel comboBMW art cars > most all other art carsNext time you are around BMW people ask them how to say Hartge because I have no ideaThis e30 m3 is stance famous, if there ever were such a thing
Put to task
Because the m3s heritage is in racing some track shots are mandatory.
Look at the smiles on those guys faces...This car looks beautiful out there on the trackThis cars cornering pretty damn flatReverse stagger?Older brother putting the younger to task
I’m not sure where I got these pictures from, and I know they are not new, but really when it comes to a car with as much heritage and race chops as the 911 Carrera RS looking at one for the 1000th time isn’t really bad.
Much respect goes out to the owner who showed lots of restraint and didn’t go overboard on this car in any regard.
Kept things nice and clean.
I don't think anyone wouldn't want this in their drivewayLow enough to sit right, high enough to still be thrown around
I dig.
For the eager today’s Theme Tuesday will also feature a car with a lot of race heritige.
Most of the cars on the street right now are on stock wheels, or steelies due to the weather. A few brave (and fortunate) people rock a second set of aftermarket wheels but for must of us it’s basic, narrow, black steelies.
Steelies covered in snow and salt in the winter don’t look good, in fact they look like crap, but painted, polished and widened in a valley with now snow and look pretty damn good as the following Scion Illustrates.
This box is remarkably clean and while the camber in the rear might be a bit much for some I think the over all execution of fitment makes it worth while.
I love seeing well fitted cars with fenders that are still clean…
Damn sooonI love shots where all you can see is dish.Anyone recognize where this is? Not to familiar with my barren backdropsSimply clean.
For December I’ve teamed up with SecheMedia.ca (my sticker manufacturer) to give away three sticker prize packs containing a minimum of 6 stickers each from both stanceiseverything.com and SecheMedia.ca stores.
This contest will take place from Monday December 06th 2010 to 10pm Thursday December 9th 2010 with the winners being announced at this weeks WTF Friday.
Prizing
Each of the prize winning sticker packs will contain at least the following stickers:
Prize package #1Prize package #2Prize package # 3
Entry
Entry is simple, this contest is open to everyone (but limited to one entry per email address), and the winner will be chosen via random mathematical draw.
To keep things in the holiday spirit enter by finishing the following sentence in the comments of this post.
“All I want for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/The Holiday’s is…”
As an added little twist none of the winners will be informed of which sticker package you will receive to make it seem just a little bit more like a gift.
When it comes to large luxury automobiles brands such as Maybach, Bentley, and Rolls Royce I can’t really relate to them. Mostly because I am not exceedingly wealthy and I’m not the type of person to be driven around, hell I have only ever been in a limo once.
However this Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, which is a few years old now, I can relate to because it’s a Hemi powered 1350HP beast which the owner goes out and runs it down the track between show appearances
It’s also got a leather wrapped roll cage and lots of TV’s to watch for the passengers on those fuel stop filled road trips since this car only gets four miles per gallon.
How many Rolls can do this?572 cubic inches of get you there on timeInstalled in lots of get your there in styleThe interior work on this car is incredible.Really like the choice in colorThe aformentioned wrapped cage can be seen hereI need 2 bottles, the big ones
I am going to be working on two new winter sticker designs over the next couple days and will have a contest announcement early next week with 3 possible sticker packs to be one thanks to SecheMedia.ca.
Just in time for Christmas!
Flashback Friday
Going to take it back a local e36 I know are in storage right now from a post titled “This is how it’s done”
On the way home last night from hockey at around 12:30am my new skid plate hit the ground hard which knocked it 80% off and resulted in some road side hockey tape mechanics and a very, very, slow drive home to where I removed it for modification at a later date.
As a result I am quire tired today and my brain is a mess so I decided to keep things simple: The loud pedal, press it and things get awesome here are 5 examples.
To the floorI really hope this is a real m3Wonder how much of this kit was left after the day was doneDon't need no stinkin wheelie barRelevant to yesterdays discussion
Multiple Theme Tuesday ideas in this post as well, will have to reffer to it next time I need ideas.
The last Winter Wednesday was in March 2010 which was quite some time of ago, so long in fact that some of you may not even know what Winter Wednesdays around here are.
The concept is simple on any Wednesday within a 7 day span of snow accumulation in the Mississauga/Toronto area of Ontario, Canada I will post up a lowered car in the snow.
Rally racing is one hell of an automotive sport. Elevation and road surface changes are par for the course and when combined with unpredictable weather, driver fatigue, blind corners, and lots of horsepower you are left with an spectacular participant and spectator sport.
However you are also left with a question: Who’s got more balls?
The drivers running the course, or the spectators on the course?
Is a great shot worth no legs? Hmmm
