As a child of the 80s (84) and a product of syndicated Television I spent a lot of my youth watching cartoons such as Transformers, M.A.S.K, GI Joe, Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and He-man.

All of these shows involved a some sort of crazy vehicle that made an awesome toy but not an awesome 1:1 vehicle. Thank god for people with money, skills, and determination because two of these vehicles regardless of their practicality have come to life.

He-Man Land Shark

When I saw this on Topless Robot (a great blog for 80s nerds) I could hardly believe my eyes. Of all the toy lines the vehicles from He-Man could easily be considered the least practical to make into a 1:1 scale replica (well G.I. Joe had some bad ones too) and yet here it is.

The owner of this Land Shark says it was commissioned by Mattel originally but no one has any idea what for. My personal opinion is that someone had it commissioned on their last day at the company as some sort of elaborate joke.

Or Skellator really exists.

Yes for the curious the mouth opens and closes

Imagine the guns shot tennis balls like American Gladiator? Also note the car from Viper in the background

LOL, first diamond plate steering wheel I have ever seen!

Note the toy on the hood, this thing is alarmingly accurate

I wonder if fake tank tracks are in the works

This car is currently being restored by Unique Movie Cars Las Vegas and I am not sure when it will be complete but if it is half as awesome as the video below it should be great!

TMNT Party Van

I am sure a lot of you saw this one on jalopnik, but I have been waiting for more photos of this car since I did the first ever Theme Tuesday on Vans. At that point I could only find one picture but thankfully now there are a few more.

Naturally this 1:1 replica is based on a VW bus and really makes me wish I kept the one I had as a kid.

Not sure why the Turtle looks so bad when the rest of the build is so good

Gotta live the stingers

The interior is spot on, and the memorbilia inside, epic

Again attention to details

I’ve got an idea for a spring themed post that will involve a bunch of my favorite independent bloggers (ie most my blog roll) so I am going to work on emails to send to some of you guys this weekend.

Other than that I am going to bug my gf to clean up those stickers so I can send them off to Seche Media.

Oh I also plan to weigh in on the big Hella Suck debacle that’s going on right now as well.

Flashback Friday

I am going to be posting some updates on basically every local build on Monday so for this Flashback Friday I decided to throw it back to my original Build Thread post.

A few of these builds I have not checked in on in awhile so I’ll probably check a few tonight and become reacquainted.

Knightx's build is still one of my favorites, I hear its going full track next year

God bless the internet it’s provided such things this week as Epic Beard Man, rumors of a Snookie sex tape (ugh), Gordon Lightfoot’s death and today’s collection of strange car related images.

Bless you internet for without you I would be jobless.

Low mow

Any ideas why that adjustable is in there? Shim maybe?

Sure they fit now but...

Gotta do what you gotta do I guess

This is Sam's signature on maxbimmer, I gotta admit it made me lol

As some of you might have noticed on Monday via my twitter account I finished some preliminary designs for some new stickers and the art department, aka my gf, is going to look over to clean them up before they are sent to my printer.

I have new versions of stickers with the url, something for the auto-x/track crowd, some stickers with girls in them, and something sexually suggestive. I would post some teaser pics but I want a few in my hand first so that if they do get copied at least I know I had made some first.

I think they will be worth the wait ;)

Flashback Fridays: TWOLITREphotography does JDMrides Official Meet #2

This year I plan to make it out to at least one of these events, scheduling didn’t work out to well last summer so hopefully this summer I can fix that if nothing else just to see this car again.

Two Litre Media captures the El clipped Civic

Hoping to make it out to the auto show this weekend so fingers crossed I do. Have a good one!

This might be a little old now, I’m not entirely sure, but since I just saw it, it’s safe to assume that all of the internet has yet to see it. Although these pics look super gruesome the drive actually walked directly from this accident to buy a lottery ticket since he has a horse shoe way up his butt.

The story from HD9 WCPO says that the crash is still under investigation but it’s pretty likely that excessive speed was involved. Regardless of what happened the driver is very, very lucky.

From this angle it looks pretty bad but nothing too out of the ordinary for hitting a pole

Air bag deployed always good

Holy shit!

Monday is a holiday here (Family Day!) so I will either be designing stickers or at the Toronto International Auto Show, either way I should have some interesting content for next week.

Speaking of stickers my illest/fatlace package arrived and I am sending out some stickers today after work to San Diego, Tucson, and Hamilton.

Siiiick

Traffic wise this weeks Theme Tuesday is continuing to do really well which I am glad because it took some time to put together and I was somewhat worried that not everyone felt the same way I did about car models. However the response has been good and I am already working on a part 2!

Finally, depending on when you read this I will either have added, or soon be adding Rolling Republic, Racer86, OMG Pancakes, HellaIV and Puregrove to the blog roll, welcome fellas.

Flashback Fridays

These two cars are some of my favorite from the VAG crowd. Low slung and dripping red paint, love it.

I like the Audi just a hair more than the GTI

Bounus!

I found out this week that Clint Eastwood has at least 2 Typhoons. Lucky guy.

Paparazzi should have asked for a ride, I would have

The heli might also be his

While collecting pictures for next weeks Theme Tuesday I came across this funny picture of a girl sitting on top of a huge double blower setup on a pro street looking Pontiac GTO. With my interest peaked I decided to investigate further.

As it turns out this GTO has a 474 motor with an 8-8-1 blower on top of a 6-71 blower. The owners car domain page says that both blowers are fully functional and together they make a total of 32-35 psi of boost.

The entire setup is almost 1000lbs and the height of the engine is 57″ from the oiplpan to the top scoop. The owner also says that the car makes 1300hp without nitrous but there is some debate about that on a lot of forums.

Quick someone start it and rev and see if she can hold on

The saddest part about this all (to me) is that he says he has NOT run it down the quarter mile setup like this as the motor makes too much power for itself and would grenade.

It seems in a typical one blower situation it can run down the strip just fine but as it’s currently configured any times are strictly speculations.

The owner goes on to say that this car is neither a complete show car, or a race car, but a car built to please him. While I can’t argue with that, as everyone should build cars they way they want, I wish this wild ride could actually run down the strip like this because it sounds and looks pretty impressive (if not over the top).

Here are a few more shots of this GTO and right here is a link to its feature in High Performance Pontiac

Girls like to ride it I guess

Close up of the setup

Lol at the blower being as tall as her

Photos from the High Peformance Pontiac Feature

and a quick video of it running:

While this is all well and good someone needs to build a blower capable of being turned on and off ala Mad Max. Don’t tell me it’s impossible! (I already know this)

Flashback Friday

Keeping things somewhat related here is some event coverage from Street Classics Weekly car show. Lots of muscle here.

This car sounded beautiful

Things are about to get pretty crazy here at work over the weekend and early next week so I am going to spend what time I do have this weekend getting as many posts ready in advance so I don’t miss any days.

Luckily nothings broken so I don’t have to fix anything and since the ground hog saw it’s shadow I can keep slacking on the new sticker designs for a few more weeks…

All of the images and video in today’s WTF Friday post are pretty random but they are all loosely automotive related and pretty weird so up they go.

I’ve also added a flashback Friday portion to my Friday posts to shine some light on older content some of the new readers might not have seen.

The Barrel Bike

I can’t imagine what this would be like to take down a hill… probably loud and somewhat out of control.

It's got a cup holder! my e30 didn't even have one

Those kids are jealous

Random Images

Just some stuff, you know.

Haha vut?

Bangbike

I could ask you guys wtf kind of car this is but I won't do that to you...

Tight Garage

Grant sent me this one and it’s actually kind of sad and awesome all at the same time. It’s cool to see that this guy is working with what he has and figured out a way to get out of his car right into his house, I wonder how long it took to get this dialed.

Flashback Friday

Since I have a decent amount of back content that some of my newer fan base might not have seen I have decided to add flashback Friday paragrpahs in the standard WTF Friday fare.

Today’s Flash back friday post is: Proof that suspension can make anything cool, a post about a local maxbimmer.com member who has been working on this Lada in Russia.

Is this Lada hopeless?

I actually found some time to put the mobile theme on last weekend so that’s pretty handy (at least for me). I’ve also been contacted by Image Space Media to test out there new way of serving ads on images and I might try it out on a few pages and see how it effects performance and usability. I don’t want this site to look like a Nascar so I’m a bit hesitant to start stuffing ads all over the place but we will see.

Other than that its business as usual, traffic is steady and I bought a box of envelopes for sticker shipments. TGIF!

When I was writing about this weeks totally unexpectedly popular post on the Boso Box I came across quite a few funny looking Boso cars. This one however is really something, the whole Boso thing makes me question what exactly is required to register a car for the streets of Japan…

I’m actually not even sure what kind of car this is a Nissan President maybe? So I guess this car raises two questions WTF is going on here and WTF kind of car is this?

Double the fun!

Not sure why it was done but it's farily well done....

Got another feature lined up for the upcoming week or so and I am planning on installing the word press mobile plug in to make mobile browsing easier.

I think I will be around/near a computer for one of if not both of the days of this weekend so I should be able to throw up some Sunday Swag or Random Dopeness so drop by between drinks, food, fun and friends.

Here in Ontario our cars have to pass both emissions and safety checks to be registered to drive on public roads, of course there are ways around this if you know the right people and some would argue that the some of the people doing safety checks can’t tell their heads from their ass but I would hope that even the most inept of inspectors would notice something was up with these vehicles. A lot of WTF were you thinking going on here.

All of today’s DIY Disasters come from s10forums ‘Most Hacked Shit Ever seen 2009‘ thread, which is one of the funniest/scariest/omgwtfbbq threads I have ever read on the internet.

I’m all for doing it yourself but please use your full ass instead of half!

The bed on this truck isn't attached but that's no excuse for the excessive bondo

I hate corvette roll pans... not shaving the tails just makes it worse

The owner just painted over the factory tails

This truck probably had this coming for awhile wonder who the blame fell on

Creative but I would not like to get in an accident with this, paper mache is weak

Oh no please no hacks here!

These welds look suspect...

Normally I would never wish to see someones car this way

But with suspension work like this this car was not road worthy

Free stickers to whoever can tell me what's going on here

Not a heck of a lot happened last week page wise/design wise but some stuff is coming I assure you I just keep spending a lot of the weekend at a new skatepark around here and then all day Sunday recovering. However n/a on the run welcome to the blog roll!

Content wise I have two features lined up for this week, Monday’s being a particularly large feature that I am very excited about so be on the look out for that.

If you are still looking for a few more ways to kill off this Friday you can take a gander at these videos, my gift to you:

Awhile back I saw some wild lifted cars on the Outlaw videos site (which was linked to on the cardomain blog) and they amused me so I saved the pictures. I know lifted cars are nothing new but sometimes you have to wonder if they are worth the effort involved. Either way over the past few months I came across these pretty often so I figure WTF Friday was a way better way than Theme Tuesday to share them.

Before lift pretty mundane

Chick Magnet!

Crazy thing is at least 3 of these exsit.

Lol at the window being the oh shit handle

This is my least fav Camaro gen anyway

This is my least fav Camaro gen anyway

This photo is titled Carbage, kind of fitting

Just the good ol boys, never meanin no harm

1.21 gigawatts?!

This one actually looks kinda fun like it could do wheelies

Wow I think I've seen it all

No now I have seen it all...

I sent out quite a few back logged stickers this from the Christmas giveaway and I still have one or two more sets that I will ship out on Monday. I plan on (finally) setting up a sticker page this weekend to make ordering a lot easier and it will also serve as a place for me to post up new designs as well.

I’ve also made a few small changes to the design and layout of the site over the past few weeks minor things like moving blog rolls around and making the footer not quite as deep, these changes will continue over the next little bit with a big one happening soonish so stay tuned for that. Won’t be a drastic functionality change or anything just cool looking.

Have a safe weekend and if you don’t already keep track of my antics on twitter.

Since I’ve got a new batch of stickers made I figured it was worth having another game of ‘WTF kind of car is that?’ this Friday. I’ve also got a funny Gremlin motivational picutre as well just to keep things amusing, it’s Friday after all.

Swing Up Door Gremlin

I can quite honestly say that I have never seen swing up doors on a Gremlin and I am not sure if I ever want to see it again:

To the owners credit these doors swing up farther than a lot of show cars

To the owners credit these doors swing up farther than a lot of show cars

This had me chuckling for a few minutes

This had me chuckling for a few minutes

I spotted these photos on an old favorite anti-rice.com

WTF kind of car is this?

This car was local to Ontario at one point in time, not sure if it still is, but whoever correctly identifies it in the comments wins a free set of S.I.E. stickers.

The owner seems to know that his car is hard to identify

The owner seems to know that his car is hard to identify

Bonus!

If you can tell me what car this started as you will win TWO sets of stickers, however since I have no idea what kind of car this started as you will have to prove it.

The best joke would be if that blower actually worked.

I am going to be setting up a page on PASnation this weekend to try and get myself a feature in the Performance Auto and Sound print magazine. While I am at it I might also set up a flickr account since I have been loafting on that for quite some time. The flickr would be more active in the summer though so I might keep being lazy…

If you have not already start following me on twitter as well @PerfectStance, I add random photos and commentary on there quite frequently and I am following quite a few interesting people.

Christmas/work/NHL 10 has me slipping a bit with sticker shipping but I will get the latest batch out tonight.

I have not run a feature in a little bit so if you want your ride or photography featured drop me a line at stanceiseverything@gmail.com

While I could have easily saved these pictures for a Winter Wednesday post I figured it would be more fun to post it as a WTF Friday and show you out of town viewers how we do it in the GTA. I’m not sure if this Ferrari owner just didn’t check the weather when he headed out in the morning or what but he learned quick that a 355 Spyder is not really a capable winter machine. Especially with what I can only assume are factory equip wheels and tires.

I had enough issues with the 255 all seasons on my old truck in the winter so I can’t imagine that this driver got very far.

Everyone from this office was probably having a good chuckle

Edit: This image was originally posted at CarChat so credit goes to them for this snipe, my bad on the photo credit slip it was not intentional

Maybe these guys both watched this youtube video of this rich bloke driving his Maserati MC12 around town in the winter, who knows.

If you are going to take an exotic out in the winter make sure it’s awd at least:

90 new stickers tomorrow! I’ll be posting pictures of readers rides with stickers on Monday so feel free to send yours in before then, stanceiseverything@gmail.com if you don’t already know.

Features have been slowing down due to most people whipping their winter beaters or just plain not working on their cars now that it’s cold here in Toronto but I’ve got a few builds and what not I have been keeping my eye on so the content will keep on coming no worries there ;)
