Yo Rolla

Awhile back I was pointed in the direction of a bunch of well done 9th generation Corrollas by reader KN tee. Once I got through looking at the photos and links he submitted I starred the email with the intentions of getting back to it later. 'Later' quickly turned into forgotten until last night when I was parked behind a 9th gen in traffic and it all came flooding back to me, dive intervention perhaps. Here is one of several Kn sent my way.

Winter Wednesdays: Winter E30

When I had my e30 I drove it all year round, like all of my cars, and I found that they are quite capable winter vehicles if your heat works well, you have winter tires, and a little weight in the boot. It also doesn't hurt if you can stand to watch them get covered in salt half of the year and not cringe. I suppose the same can be said for most any car I suppose but seeing an e30 covered in salt is quite tragic as they are God's Chariot after all. This e30 was posted in one of several 'Post your car in the winter' threads I follow and it's doing a pretty good job of blending in with its surroundings.

Theme Tuesdays: Honda Accords Part II

Putting together Theme Tuesday posts is a guaranteed way to assassinate any other plans I have in an evening. I had every intention last night to finish of this Accord post and get to playing PS3 quickly until I ended up learning you can lower K cars with stock first gen Neon parts, and that MKII big bumpers fit on Dodge Ominis. How did that all happen? I dunno, the internet is a time monster. Anyway here is the Accord post I was working on before I got sidetracked.

Nice and low

Went relic hunting again on my hard drive and pulled out this Civic deep from the archives. I'm fairly sure i pulled it from a Honda-Tech thread one of the seven or so times I've actually browsed the site. Nothing on this car is particularly in your face but it's clean, simple, and low and comes together quite nicely which makes for a nice easy quick post after a busy weekend. 🙂

Win free passes to Performance World 2011

The first show after a long, snow filled, Toronto winter is just a few days away and thanks to SIC RYDE I've got a pair of passes to give away to one lucky Stance Is Everything reader. Last years Performance World Show was the first time I met Sic himself, after seeing him riding low for years, so it's very fitting that he is contributing to this years give away.

WTF Friday: Winter towing fail 2011

This has got to be the funniest towing fail I have seen since the one where a bunch of clowns remove the back of a car trying to get it out of a snow bank. If your wondering how this truck ended up upside down in a frozen lake your guess is as good as mine. However one take away from this video is never under estimate the power of a front end loader.

Marco

Seeing the positive reception of that little winter Lupo I posted last week was very encouraging as I've got a decent amount of small, fitted, VWs on my hard drive. Today's car is an example of what happens when you take a US spec Polo, shave a few things, bring the fenders closer to the wheels with an air ride setup, and stretch 185/45s and 195 45s over 15x8 and 15x9 wheels. Since quoting Charlie Sheen is the thing to do this week, this Polo: Winning!

Winter Wednesdays: Harley in the snow

Some of the long time readers, or those of you who have looked through the Theme Tuesday archives, may have noticed I have a bit of an attraction to VW Harlequins. I like these cars because you don't see them often and when you do they can't be missed. Seeing one thats winter driven never crossed my mind until I saw rabriolet of vortex not given a damn and pushing his through significant accumulation.

Irrelevant?

This first time I came across this 51 Chevy COE it was posted on another stance blog where the writer stated that it was fairly irrelevant to the forms of stance they normally showcase. That statement struck me as odd because to me flush, poke, tuck, drag, lowrider, vip, whatever your suspension alteration poison happens if at the end of it all it's awesome that's all that matters.

Throwback Thursday: Letter Kenny

I'm still on the fence about whether or not Throwback Thursday posts will appear here on the site with any regularity, but, I feel...

WTF Friday: Imitation Is The Sincerest Form Of Flattery?

One of the main reasons people choose modify their car is so that it's different than any other on the road, this is especially true when the platform you are working with is fairly common. During the time Stance Is Everything has been active Level One member Dan has built two unique, very low, and fairly well known Honda s2000s.

Event Coverage: 2010 CSCS Finale- Part 1

Yesterday I mentioned that the 2010 CSCS finale had an absolutely stellar turnout, the best of any CSCS I had attended personally. There were cars everywhere, on the track, in the pits, and all over the visitor parking, it seemed like everyone and there mom was out at Cayuga. Today I have 30 plus photos of what I saw off the track and away from the show and shine, few unique/rarity's here.

Featured Ride: Neil’s MKV

When I met Neil for the first time at the local skatepark here in Mississauga he had just sold his supercharged e36 and picked up this black MKV. My memory isn't quite what it used to be but I seem to recall him saying something about not getting too crazy with this car and only wanting to change a couple things here and there to make it more enjoyable to drive when he is back home between semesters of school in England.

Theme Tuesdays: Old School JDM

Last week on twitter @TyCity called me out on the fact that I had not posted some old school JDM rides in awhile. Since he was right I decided to check some of my local sources for some old school goodness. I'm not as up on my classic Japanese metal as I am my American but here goes.
