Event Coverage: 20th Annual Kirkfield Carshow & Parade

Sometimes I find car shows and sometimes they find me, the latter happened on September 5th when I stumbled across the 20th Annual Kirkfield Car show and Parade while camping with my girlfriend. She just got a Cannon 50D so I got to relax while someone else took the pictures this time around. A vacation indeed.

Tires23 just raised the Mazda 3 fitment bar.

I didn't really plan on today being a double post day I figured the Kirkfield Carshow event coverage I will have up this afternoon/evening would be all I would post today. But when I saw this Mazda Speed 3 that Tires23 posted on TorontoMazda3.ca I knew I had to post it.

Every lowered car owners worst nightmare

I have been stuck on a few roads where the grades have suddenly changed (this morning for example) and have had to drive very slowly to avoid scraping but I have no clue what I would do in a situation like this. Every choice involves damage.

Featured Ride: Eugene’s 1968 Pontiac Firebird

When I started this blog I had no idea where it would take me, or how often I would post, however 100 posts came up almost unexpectedly and what better way to celebrate than with a story about a full restoration done by a local car nut? The builder of this car is like me in a lot of ways he loves, BMX,Transformers, the internet industry, blogging, and fine pieces of American muscle.

Congrats to Pat Cyr For Winning the DMCC Championship

An old BMX friend of mine, turned pro drifter, has been destroying the drift scene lately with his crew Drift Posse and his AE86, made it out to the DMCC finals in Quebec where as far as I can tell via facebook Pat continued to dominate the pack as he has all year and take home the DMCC overall championship.

Theme Tuesdays: Mazda 3s

The concept of theme Tuesdays here on Stance Is Everything is simple, every Tuesday I pick a theme and post a collection of vehicles with that theme that meet the stance criteria (modified suspension that fit the vehicles overall theme). This weeks theme Tuesday topic is: Mazda 3s

WTF Friday: Curb Eater

Going to car meets can sometimes be a mixed bag of experiences, some people are cool and normal, while others can be show offs trying to compensate for god knows what. When testosterone gets flowing and the need to show off bubbles over epic failure ensues, I showed a lot of that in the Street Racing WTF Friday post, but this incident is a little closer to home.

Business Attire

There has been a little bit of a buzz going around lately that those of us who love stance and fitment don't know how to make a car that can perform well on the track as well. This isn't really true just a lot of us do not need our cars to perform up to track standards as getting to work and back (especially in the GTA) is as far away from a race track as you can get. Today's cars have setups that look good and perform well on the track, you know, Business attire.

Theme Tuesdays: Datsun 510s

Event Coverage: CSCS Opener 2011: Pt 1

The Canadian Sport Compact Series kicked of their season with one hell of an eventful day last Sunday. Mr. weatherman finally blessed CSCS with a glowing, scorching, rain free, forecast that lead to a spectacular turn out. In fact it was the best turn out I've ever seen at CSCS since I have been attending. The distance I had to park from the action was a clear indicator of just how many people came out to enjoy a day of motor sport.

Event Coverage: Import Expo Toronto – Season Opener

Coming back to Canada in full force Import Expo kicked of the season 2018 season with a quality filled event at the Toronto Exhibition Center.

WTF Friday: By the power of Gray Skull

As a child of the 80s (84) and a product of syndicated Television I spent a lot of my youth watching cartoons such as Transformers, M.A.S.K, GI Joe, Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and He-man. All of these shows involved a some sort of crazy vehicle that made an awesome toy but not an awesome 1:1 vehicle. Thank god for people with money, skills, and determination because two of these vehicles regardless of their practicality have come to life.

WTF Friday: So you like burnouts?

The first video I in today's post I saw Monday and thought to myself damn that was pretty awesome wonder why it took someone so long to do it. Then, a few days later my friend Marc sent me the second video which was more surprisingly more ridiculous than the first. I am a big fan of vehicle on vehicle burnouts, environmentalists and the local authorities might not be but I think I have made enemies out of them long ago.
