Win a ride with Crazy Leo

I love when people do things like this: Canadian Rally driver, Crazy Leo , is offering up a chance to win one of two rides at the Rally of The Tall Pines in Bancroft Ontario. The route will be an actual stage of the rally and take about 90 or so seconds, in those 90 seconds you will go through a serious of blind turns and one big jump in a 500hp WRX. Interested?

      Event Coverage: SEMA Part 4

Here is another photo overload from SEMA 2010. For those of you who are waiting for photos of the cars that were outside of SEMA rest assured I lots of great coverage from the outside as well that will be making it's way up to the site over the next few days. In the meantime enjoy some more of what was going on inside the halls. After this set I believe I've got one hall left along with some of the adjacent hallways before taking it outside into the Vegas sun.

WTF Friday: The Engine, it fell out

Have you ever had a conversation with someone who doesn't know a lot about cars and they might say something like "If I don't take my car to the dealer the motor may fall out" or "the mechanic said my motor was dropping out". I'm paraphrasing of course but I have had some really weird conversations with people who treat cars like appliances, anyway, it never really occurred to me that if you hit something hard enough your motor may just indeed fall out.

      Spy Vs Spy

We had some crazy weather here in the GTA last weekend and previous featured photographer Edwin Tan aka Dougboy took it upon himself to go out and snap some pictures of his ride out in the fog. Call me slow but before these shots I had no idea Edwin was actually rocking two different color sets of wheels. This touch helps put his already unique TL further into the original category.

      Nashville

When I saw pictures of this truck on Low Tech (via Phils Car Blog's blogroll) I was floored. This is one beautiful vehicle and the photographs that capture it are equally beautiful. Some may argue that a vehicle with narrow wheels, lots of sidewall, high ground clearance, and no fenders to speak of doesn't have stance. I beg to differ, this car has stance, class, and attitude all rolled into one clean classic package.

      Hottawa

Emilio, is one of those photographers who's threads I am always sure to check out on jdmrides. Whenever 'b20bomber' appears below a thread title in the Photo and Video Gallery section I can always be certain that inside are a number of great photos of clean cars. Recently Emilio went out to Ottawa to meet up with some of his fellow Honda owning friends and produced the work you see here today, this full set along with a whole lot more can be found on his TWOLITREmedia flckr account.

      Sam got a Miata

My friend Sam recently sold his m50 swapped e30 and picked up a Mazda Miata. What does this have to do with today's photo? Nothing. However, I am pretty busy today and figured you guys wouldn't mind if I just said very little and instead just posted up a picture of a girl next to, what I assume to be, her slammed Miata.

      Betcha can’t have just one

Don't you hate when you come across one image of a car and can't find anymore? Because that's the case with this e30 on Work Emotions (not CR Kai as explained here). No matter how much I search I keep coming across the same old ass picture. Maybe it's just me and perhaps I suck at using Google but I need more!

      Buy this so I won’t

My vinyl guy, Mat at Seche Media, is selling his modified 2007 Mazda Speed3 for an exceptionally low price, low enough that I have considered picking it up, transferring some parts from my car to his and then selling my own. However in an effort to avoid putting myself into bankruptcy (just got a house, laptop, new snowboard) I figured it's best to give his car more exposure so one of you can purchase it rather than myself. This car is well maintained and comes with a number of top dollar modifications, take a look.

      I miss my car

My car has been in the shop for about a week now for warranty rust repair so I have been either taking the public transit or hitching rides with my girlfriend. For the most part being chauffeured around has not really bothered me but seeing the latest pictures of Kevin's hatch on the Mazda 3 forums really made me miss my own car because like JDR's car Kevin's has been one which I look to for inspiration.

WTF Friday: Lowrider style Auburn Speedster

Until this car I had never heard of Auburn in the autmotive context (only bmx) however when I saw this car I instantly became interested. After a quick stop on wiki I learned that Auburn's only existed way before my time (1900-1936) before going under due to the fact that their cars, while beautiful, were not really priced correct for the depression era. Unsurprisingly, today, both Auburns and Auburn replica Auburns are quite rare which is what makes this car even more unique.

      Victoria: The place to be

I'm kind of on the fence when it comes to rx-8s. I generally prefer the RX-7 but every once and awhile someone comes along and really nails the RX-8 to the point where I consider fully committing to the 'I love RX-8' side of the fence. This just happens to be one of those cars. The owner kept things simple with the right stance, the right wheels, and essentially stock body.
