I believe all car enthusiasts should attempt some level of DIY on their vehicles however one should take the time to research their project and make sure that it something that they can handle without supervision.
By no means should anyone half ass their DIY job as bad as these people…
I guess if you really need one fog light and have a motorcycle tire hanging around...I guess this would reduce trunk rattle?Wow just, wow, office supplies meet the garageNot sure how anyone could assume this is a good idea, common sense is not commonLocal caliper paint fail of epic proportions
Site Updates
To all of the bloggers I contacted earlier this month I am going to be working on “that” article this weekend so no you didn’t send me your information in vain 🙂
In addition to writing this article I will be also working on a mini feature for Monday so that’s something to look forward too as well.
I’m also going to be making steps towards launching a big cartel store this weekend as my new batch of stickers has arrived and I optimistically anticipate the demand for them will be more than I can handle just through the gmail account.
Finally site traffic has hit another milestone all by itself with no real additional promotion by me so that’s pretty rad.
Thanks again for everyone who checks this site daily, weekly, monthly, or even yearly keeps me going.
Flashback Friday
Local e30 wheel fitment guru Jay (Mystikal) is selling his 1994 Dakar Yellow m3 which he says is on stock suspension (I know shocked me too) so I figured I would throw it back to when I made a post about his Trevors now sold e30.
According to Jay the 95s sat lower and all he had to do was remove spring pads to get this stance
As it turns out while I initially thought that the drifters just showed up to this event and threw down, Anna from Sweetie Girl Racing, along side a number of other dedicated car enthusiasts in Toronto actually planned this event and are actually working towards having things like this happen more often which is always good.
Shout out to drifter Chris for giving me the heads up on this video by posting it on max and Static Motion Films for putting it together.
Last night I got to see my friend, and contributing photographer, K.Sold aka Keven Soldo perform some of his stand up comedy routine last night at a local bar. He slayed and good times were had by all.
When I got home I took a look at some photos he had taken of his friend Matt’s 2004 WRX, in it’s last days of winter mode, on the Toronto Subaru Club. Mild mannered employee by day, photographer by evening, comedian at night Keven is a triple threat!
This car is sitting on STI struts and RCE yellows and has the power to back up it’s aggressive look.
Pretty sure Keven popped this locations virginityWingless WRX's ftwI've gotta pick up a set of Hella Supertones, my stock horn sucksWe would all be fortunate if our winter modes look this good
If there is one thing that’s universal between basically everyone in the automotive community it’s that e30s kick ass, and e30 m3s even more so.
I did an e30 Theme Tuesday and now its the e30 m3’s time to shine. Tourings next?
Beautiful DTM replicaAnother shot of the same car, love the adjustable wing extensionA similar m3 stickerlessNice choice of LM color on this rideBoxy and curvy at the same time, these lines are classicLate ApexThis m3 borrowed a set of style 5sCF hood is a stark contrast but I don't mind itAnother cf hood, this one matches the wheelsDinan turbo e30 m3This e30 is v10 powered, sickDishNot a factory color, but still sick, color matching ftwI don't like the kidneys (center of the grill) but I love the flat capsLots of showand lots of goEpic fitment, epic height, epic shotI think the driver is making vroom noises with his mouth...VW better get on the gas!The hairpin in the distance looks like a lot of fun
Long time readers of Stance Is Everything might remember a post awhile back of a local Black E36 slammed on style 5’s titled “This Is How It’s Done“.
In that post I mentioned that the car would appear here again and Doogee came back hard this season after spending the winter polishing his style 5s and tweaking a few other exterior bits.
The changes this year are subtle, Bosch headlights, the return of amber taillights, and the aforementioned polishing of the epic fitting style 5s. Work was done, and it was done well.
Polished the lips on these wheels really popsFitment remains epicSo glad warm weather is coming backAmber tails replace last years clearsThis is Doogees sig on max, it kills me
Once again e36 owners I hope you are taking notes, because this is beauty.
I saw this video on maxbimmer.com and I can safely say that it’s not a ride that I would want to go one, although it looks like if someone was eventually able to flag the truck driver down that the occupants in the car would be ok.
The video in question:
There are two schools of thought on what has happened here on maxbimmer:
The owner of the car cut off the truck driver while traveling in his blind spot causing the truck to essentially perform a pit maneuver on the small car which moved the car from one blind spot to another. Since it’s raining its possible that the driver doesn’t notice to much resistance and that the noise isn’t incredibly loud. This all seems hard to believe and yet it is occurring in the video so…
The second thought is that truck driver has had a really bad day and enough of people cutting him off over the years and has therefore lost his “cot dang” mind.
I’m not sure where one would find the true answer but I am leaning towards number 1. Either way it’s unbelievable.

The stickers are now on their way to me so I can show you guys the other two designs that are more for the auto-x/race crowd.
The next 2 auto-x/track stickers I had yet to revealUrkel influence is strong in this oneThis one I posted beforeAnd the one that will probably be a top seller
Since I just saw this car and got to meet it’s owner at Performance World I figured it would be a good time to do a Flashback Friday do the ‘What Is Fonixx?’ post
Sic Ryde always looks clean
Anyway my lip is back on, the weather is nice, and I am going to enjoy the weekend… until it rains.
Here is part two of the Performance World coverage, I had meant to post this yesterday but the great weather (18 degrees!) meant that I worked on my car after work as oppose to hiding from the cold.
Today’s coverage is mostly of the import rooms of the show which were really hard to shoot being absurdly dark and cramped for some reason, anyway, here we go.
When reviewing my pictures I was actually surprised that I took so few pictures of random stuff, normally at these shows I take a lot more.
I am however not surprised I didn’t take many model pics. I wasn’t really feelin’ creep mode that day, blame Do You Come With The Car for my change of heart perhaps?
This car was perplexingWhile this is a big brake kit it's not THAT big This was cool, an ethanol powered Sub rally carClever plateUm... What? You know may want to change your company name when...Kinda poached this guys flashThis MR2 had a way with the ladies
The Infamous Project
Chris Savard put in a lot of hours getting all three of his rides ready for The Infamous Project and the hard work really paid off as all of the cars made it to the show complete and looking great.
The Infamous e36These Oz's look so big in person I guess 23"s will do thatSome dude was running his finger up and down the paint when I showed up saying look it smudges... weird
Bagged and Juiced
The amount of cars on dynamic suspension this year was actually somewhat low.
Autobot low lowI still like Phantom grills...If I ever see this truck tow anything I will be surprised
BMW & Mini
The BMW turn out at this show was uncharacteristically small. Other than Chris Savards BMW and the e46 below I can only recall seeing one other e36 at the show, I wonder why that was…
This Supercharged oldschool mini was radThis e46 had me on a fence, I liked some thingsbut these fake vents kinda bugged me
Garage16.ca and TorontoMazda3.ca had a few cars at the show this weekend. I had thought about putting my car in the show with these guys but opted not too due to the amount of detailing I would have had to squeeze in the week before the show and my general level of procrastination. Good to see that these guys are not like me cars looked great.
TM3 represent, Pogi did quite a few things to his ride over winterBlankets3 told me he wouldn't lower his ride till I beat it into himNew comer to tm3 nice look goin on
Scions
Don’t quote me on this but I don’t believe that Scions have been officially sold in Canada as of yet, and if the have the appearance of modified ones has been quite scarce.
Performance World had two in attendence, one first gen and a Kicker sponsored (they also sponsored the show) second generation.
Not sure who built this one but they had lots of time and money investedLots goin on in here, nice fiberglass workThis newer kicker Scion was done to the 9sGood to see a little performance made it's way in via super charger
Nissans
There were a few scattered Nissans at the show, here are some of the ones I liked.
Nice rR35, something around it kept blowing smoke sorta weirdWell put together carNever seen this kit on a 240 beforeTire flush?
Sic Ryde
Performance World was my chance to finally figure out What exactly Fonixx is/was. Keven and I got a chance to chat with the man who is Sic Ryde (literally that’s his name) and he explained to us what it is, kind of, really it’s still building towards it’s final huurah.
Sic says that Fonixx is a philosophy that is going to change the world and Sic Ryde is the person who is bringing Fonixx to the world….
For now it’s still quite the mystery, nice cars though, expect the unexpected.
Sic ryde TLThis wide body Corrado attracted a lot of attentionDope Infiniti coupeSic Ryde Lexus is once again sporting a new set of wheelsSic Ryde rolled deep
Hondas
As usual the Honda numbers at this show were quite impressive, here are a few.
The famous Worked 905 cover carWorked 905 loves there fast carsBoooostClean lookin CivicThis one was pretty clean tooGorgeous s2000Spoon'dJDM Integra with what looks like a wings west kitJDM Type RImport expo grip carPretty unassuming little CivicWith what appeared to be an f20 shoved under the hood backwards?!
I heard on the radio last week that some official organization declared winter in Ontario over. I’m not sure if its really over but its been double digits all week and that makes me smile.
Despite being covered in snow this Miata also appears to be smiling.
While I hope that our measurable snow fall has ended I am going to keep my winters on until the first week of April. My lip however is going on tonight.
I also rode BMX outdoors last night and it was awesome.
This weekend I got a chance to check out the Performance World show here in Toronto, according to advertising this is the largest car show in Canada.
While I am not sure if that is true I will say that I was fairly impressed at the diversity of the cars in attendance. I took a lot of photos and as usual I am going to pay respect to the OG’s and have the muscle cars and hot rods go first.
Random Stuff
Even in the classic/rod/muscle section of the show there were a few interesting side attractions worth stopping to take a picture of.
Got a lot of spare parts kicking around? Build a cool booth display modelCar show models are nothing but objects...These paintings were rad, wish I had this level of skill at anythingBeing able to pinstripe would not be bad either
New Age Muscle
These new era of the muscle car has arrived and is thriving, thankfully it looks nothing like the Plymouth Prowler or PT Cruiser
One off Pontiac Trans Slam epicNote to manufacturers, this is how plastic covers are done, showcase the motor not hide itI was able to get a better snap of that Camaro from the Toronto International Auto show Looks like wide body kits are readily available for the new CamaroThe satin finish on this Camaro was unbelievableThe exhaust was a nice touch, and the dish, dish is great everywhere
Rare breeds
Cars that are rare around these parts and a few I have never come across before.
This Mercury was the first car we saw upon entering, great start to the showSeeing as how our beaches suck these are rare around hereDubbed Cotton Candy, this Fargo(!?) is very sweetThis started as a delivery truck and then was significantly shortened to create this customIt takes a special kind of crazy to turn a big truck into a rat rodThis shop has a way with trucks, nice door stencil tooNot sure what this sled started as but it ended beautifulFlawless body work throughoutI have never seen a half assed Willys rod in my lifeCheck out the dish on those rear wheels, may not be flush but it's fitment at it's finestLook at how clean the trunk interior is, then look at the tires that had to fit in there and look again
Chrysler’s
For whatever reason my dad utterly despises Chrysler’s despite never owning one, pretty sure he wouldn’t turn down any of these though.
Some of the coolest airbrushing I have ever seen was on this carThe whole package is not bad eitherWhile not classics yet Vipers were one of the original new era muscle carsThis car was pretty show preppedNice touch hereNotice any similarity between this stripe and the brusing above? If you do not like the car the motor came in put it in something you do
Chevy’s
If I had to chose Chevy or Ford, I would be a Chevy man. Thankfully I don’t have to choose.
A lot of people are mad these killed the s10 but I think they look greatAnd with a vette motor what's not to loveYou know those cars you like but no one else does? 1980 z28s are that car for meGasser style Chevy IICan you believe that this Chevy II runs 8 seconds in the 1/4 mile while looking this nice? The Patina on this Impala works really wellThis car had a nice drive in theme in it's display
Fast Fords
Well loved blue ovals
According to the card this is the only power hard top 67 in existence, might as well make it stand out I supposeThe owner of this car gave me a pretty cool post card480hp, it says so right thereThis truck was getting pin stripped on the spotI'll always be a sucker for a high boyAwesome plate frameThis rod has reached the level of automotive artAs there is no way you can drive with a brake setup like thisThis Troy Trepanier built olive drab highboy was a real treat on the eyes, subtle and cleanAs was this 32 pick up he also brought outBoth of the built by Troy Fords that were on display together
