Stance Is Everything…. It's all about how it sits

Importfest is coming up on it’s 10 year anniversary and the organizers have asked to be a part of making this years one to remember.

New for this years event, which takes place September 11th 2010 at the Metro Toronto Convention center, are 10 new trophy classes including ‘Baddest Stance’ which they kindly given me the opportunity to help judge.

Hope to see as many of you here as possible!

If you recall last year I came back from this show with lots of coverage (and the Tekken Car!) so this event should prove just as good if not better.

In the ‘new font’ url stickers I have 3 yellow, 3 purple, and 10 white stickers in stock as well as some stock in pink, green, gold, and gunmetal from the previous font.

I am also introducing 5 two tone Pink/removable white ‘I like em dropped’ stickers.

Eventually all of the URL stickers will be transitioned to the new font in all colors along with the introduction of reflective vinyl (some will be prizes at Voice Coil Meltdown) and more colors of everything else.

Quick little post today. I have redesigned the basic url stickers a little thicker so that they stand out a bit more as the original ones were a little thin and  just need to ask  you guys what colors you want to see them in.

Go wild and the most popular colors here and on facebook will be produced.

With the introduction of a new batch of stickers, combined with the demand of the old ones, I felt the need to open up a simple Official Stance Is Everything – Big Cartel- Store to help me keep on top of sending out orders.

The latest batch of designs is a fairly limited initial trial run but once they sell out I will restock at higher numbers with a variety of colors.

Man I love Transformers

I know it's a small gift but it's the best I can do

As most of you know I did the first free run of 50 stickers not too long ago and the demand for them was much higher than I expected. When I got the first batch done I figured that 40 would go locally and 10 world wide but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Most of the stickers went outside of Canada and into the United States, and one set even went to New Zealand. As I’ve probably said before it’s an awesome feeling knowing that people all over the world are down with this blog and want to help represent it, here are some photos of people doing just that all around the world.

Meg from Cars X Girl was one of the first people to claim a set of stickers and if I recall correctly I sent her four since she has three cars in her two person family and I wanted to make sure she had a few options for all her rides. Since her 240 is currently under the knife for a motor swap she sent photos of her Miata which she drove to rookie of the year honors in her local auto cross club, sick!

Nicholas Heintz’s Corolla

Nicholas sent some pics of his Green Corolla rocking a matching S.I.E. sticker. He’s doing a budget build and it looks like he is off to a great start with this clean base. I love budgets builds as they are far realistic to my wallet than high priced magazine build so hopefully he keeps me (any by association you) updated with the progress, since he already has his stance addressed fitment is next on the bill.

Julian aka Sleep Wagon

Julian is reppin S.I.E. in  sunny California and since the weather in Toronto recently has dipped solidly below zero I really wish I was in Cali with him. Currently Julian continues to rock stock rims harder than any other car I have seen solidifying the fact that Stance Is Everything. else rock them and he I’m a huge fan of this car and super stoked to see my stickers on his ride. Once he settles on a new set of rims… game over.

New Batch

I’ve had a new batch of stickers run,this time blue has been dropped in favor of gun metal and gold, pink, white, green and black remain.

Since the first round of stickers was on me I have setup a pay pal donation button to cover the cost for the third round of stickers.

My goal is that the money from the url stickers just goes back into more url stickers until I get around to making a few designs that will hopefully fund the production of url stickers entirely then they can go back to being free.

To get a set of the new stickers click the button below and make a donation, once you have made the donation email me with your shipping address, color preference, and the email your donation came from and I will ship out your stickers.

There is no minimum or maximum donation so feel free to do whatever you like, I’m not looking to make a profit I have a job for that.

My stickers courtesy of Seche Media arrived last week after the first set got abducted by the mail man (if you see a mail truck rocking a stanceiseverything.com sticker that’s how it happened) and I’m really excited to finally have these in my hand. This blog is one of the only ideas I have had over the past few years that I have followed through so the fact that I showed enough follow through to get stickers printed and that people want to run them just makes me want to put more and more work into the blog it’s a rad feeling.

But enough about me this first run of stickers read stanceiseverything.com and come in pink(2), blue(5), green(5) and white(25) and black(10) and are 100% free and all I ask is that those of you who do rock them send in a picture of the sticker on your car so I can post it up here.

I am sure some of you have noticed that the site has been crawling lately. The home page can take up to 14 seconds to load and sometimes the admin page takes 43 seconds. Lame and annoying.

Therefore on August 15th between between 8-12pm Eastern Daylight time I am going to try a few different ways to increase the performance of the site. Hopefully after that the site is back up to snuff. If not time to work on version 2.0

This picture has nothing to do with speed but I've been sitting on it for awhile so what the hell

Hey everyone, just a heads up if you notice some weirdness on the page today its because I am trying to diagnose and fix some speed issues (14 seconds to load wtf?). Trying to get this page down to a 7 sec 1/4 mile so sorry if there is any temporary fires, shouldn’t be too long and I will update this post when everything is fixed up.
