Bagged

      Body Dump

I've been watching a lot of Dexter lately (just started season 4) and it most certainly had an influence on the title of this post. The owner of this early body s10 certainly doesn't murder people but he has killed any sign of gap between those up-sized Iroc reps and his Hot Rod Flatz painted fenders with a healthy body drop and air ride setup. The built 350 under the hood is also sure to take a few miles of the life of the tires on those 20s.

      Theme Tuesdays: Lexus LS400s

About this time two weeks ago I posted up a clean LS400 and put forth the question about whether or not I should do a full LS400 Theme Tuesday. The response I got was basically a resounding 'yes' so I hit up Aidan, who I normally ask about Lexus/VIP matters, and he helped provide some links and photos to pull this together.

      I can see it now…

I really can, this car is going to end up all over the internet. It's going to appear on blog after blog, and forum after forum, for a couple of reasons. I would actually be surprised if some of you had not seen it already. The first reason people are going to talk about this car is pretty obvious. A lot of people don't think Subaru's should be lowered, never mind slammed or on air ride, because of their out of the box off road capability and cherished rally heritage so multiple page debates about the suspension on this car are basically a given.

Nextmod at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2011

According to their website the Tokyo Auto Salon is "the world’s largest auto exhibition with more than 600 vehicles on display". To me that reads as ' SEMA, in Japan, and larger'. While I didn't get to go Peter from Nextmod worked it into his well deserved vacation from the shop and uploaded a ton of photos from the event to Nextmod's facebook fan page. He gave me permission to re post some here for those of you who are not yet fans of theirs on facebook and I jumped at the opportunity.

      Winter Wednesdays: Caddy plow

Sigh, I don't know what it is about some drivers in this weather (snowed today) but I swear they forget which pedal makes the car go and ride the brake all the way to work. If you don't feel safe on all seasons when it snows get winter tires sheesh. Sorry had to vent a little there, spent some time this morning dodging vehicular pylons. The good news is the snow gives me a reason to post this awesome bagged 68(?) Caddy in the snow.

      Rollin Heavy

Here's a quick before work, pre-Theme Tuesday post to get your day headed in the right direction. Nothing too fancy with this LS400 just another clean, black, dumped, dished Lexus. The more I look at it the more I like it, the factory two tone is working surprisingly well and the chrome trim around the wheels works well with the wheels.

      Jimmini Jillickers

Evidently one of the most sought after compact 4x4s in North America, The Suzuki Samurai, is known as the Jimny in Japan. I honestly had no idea when it came here it got re branded but I guess it sort of makes sense as most things do. The last Samuari/Jimny I saw was all decked out for mudding and is a stark contrast from the one I am posting today.

      Kept Low

Those of you who are members of the facebook group will recognize this truck as the thumbnail for the group, it's stance and license plate made it a perfect fit. The last time I saw this '87 was at Extreme Invasion in 2009 and in that post I said it was probably one of the cleanest Blazers I had ever seen. At that show I only took three pictures of the truck even though it deserved plenty more, thankfully Mike Joe from MikeJoe.ca made up for my short comings and snapped a number of awesome photos of this truck from Performance World 2009, check em out.

      Fancy huh

If I were to guess I would say I have had these pictures saved on my hard drive for at least 8 months and never posted them. Why I never posted these pictures before I can't say but what I can say is this MK5 looks fantastic sitting on AMG Aero II wheels looks great. Carrying the wheel color to the front bumper is a good look.

      Event Coverage: SEMA Part 8

Well, I've finally reached what is going to be the end of the 2010 SEMA coverage. Hopefully you guys have enjoyed all of the coverage as much as I have enjoyed posting it. I hope after seeing these photos you are now devising a way to get to next years show as I think it's something every enthusiast should try and get out to. As much I have tried to share here it's really, really, hard to explain what it's like until you've been, I've never been so exhausted from taking in so much automotive eye candy.

      Event Coverage: SEMA Part 7

This is going to be the second last set of coverage and it's pretty substantial, 50 plus photos from the outside of the show so if you are on a phone or a stressed connection give it some time. Imagine the net worth of all the cars on the convention center grounds during the week? That's a lot of money.

      SEMA Showstopper: The Syborg

I'm an early gen S-10(/Blazer/Jimmy/Sonoma) fan, and have been for as long as I can remember, even before I knew that they came in potent Sy/Ty versions. I'm actually still convinced Sy/Ty's are two of the best production trucks ever made. One big problem with my love for these trucks is that few survive our winters. I can think of a handful of clean s10s/blazers in the area and one Typhoon, and that's one of the reasons why seeing this once Sonoma GT at SEMA was such a treat.
