Featured Ride: Pat Cyr’s Scion FR-S

When it was announced that Pat Cyr was Scion Canada's choice  to campaign the FR-S for the 2013 season I think that the entire province of Ontario unanimously said 'Hell Yeah'. Scion Canada couldn't have picked a better person, or driver, to represent their brand and I don't think I am the only one who  feels Pat receiving support like this was long over due. During the conversation in which he invited me to come check out the car I could tell by the excitement in his voice that what he was building after hours at Cyrious Garageworks was something special.

      Theme Tuesdays: Chevy C10s

After SEMA I took a serious liking to C10s, I mean I have always enjoyed them on some level, but after seeing Brad Commer and Chris Smith's pro touring trucks I took a real liking to them. Not to mention all of the other ones literally sitting on the floor both inside and outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center. At the time I held back on this Theme Tuesday because I was posting a lot of trucks.

      One More Than Ten

First generation MR2's are a bit of a rarity here on Stance Is Everything. A few made their way into MR-2 Theme Tuesday, and this one rally crossing got it's own post, but typically they don't show up much at all. Today's comes by way of Retro Garage and sadly there isn't much info on it.

      Winter Wednesdays: Greetings From Finland

Finally got some significant snow here in the Toronto area last week which means Winter Wednesdays are back once more. The first WW post of the 2012/2013 winter season comes by way of Joni in Finland who drives a 2005 European Toyota Corolla hatch back.

      Aussie Rules

It's my understanding that being a car enthusiast in Australia isn't exactly easy. The rules down under about what can and can't be done to a car are incredibly strict and the cars I so love to post her on SIE constantly run the risk of being defected (pulled off the road) at any moment.

      Rover

Last week I posted an Audi on 3 piece TMBs to which Ollie replied "some times I think if I see another VAG on Rotiforms I'm gonnna shoot my self. Isn't the idea of custom cars that you never see another one like it?" I thought about that comment for awhile and realised that despite the fact I still enjoy a good VAG car dumped on Rotiforms Ollie's point rings true because if I see another Rocket Bunny Kitted FR-S I just might scream a little bit.

Event Coverage: SEMA 2012 Roll Out

Looking back it's a little strange that one of the events I was looking forward to most at SEMA 2012 was the roll-out at the end. They were pushing it pretty hard in the media centre and my imagination conjured up visions of an epic parade full of awesome cars dragging, drifting, and generally acting a fool on the streets of Las Vegas.

      Laurel

I don't often post cars like this Laurel. Not because  I don't like them, but more because I don't know a whole lot about Japanese cars of this vintage and a few of the blogs I follow (like High Top Fade) do such a damn good job of presenting them that I might as well concede defeat and look for another truck to post. However this Laurel caught my eye and I couldn't resist.

      Theme Tuesdays: Bare Metal

Recently a couple s-10 owning friends of mine stripped their trucks down to bare metal and seeing them both paint and rust less (at least for the time being) triggered this weeks Theme Tuesday. Interestingly enough it was common to come across posts that read 'this car was later painted' due to how hard it is to keep a bare metal car looking pristine no matter what you coat it with.

      Theme Tuesdays: FC RX-7s

Got news the other day on instagram that Steve (who owns the SR-20 Powered e30 currently in PBMW) recently picked up an FC RX-7. When asked what his plans for the car were he replied "thinking wide as fuck wheels, obnoxious body kit, white or bass boat paint..."

      Dat Purp

Still finding cars from H20 that I like and this one somehow managed to slip through the cracks when I was doing the H20 International Favourites Theme Tuesday. I spotted it last night while lurking the Wrong Fitment CrewForum and it looks particularly minty thanks to a recent respray and superbly fit Work VS-XX wheels.

      M Technica

Stock height and with their bumpers un-tucked early model e30s look dated and mundane. But  push the bumpers in, add some low, along with a decent set of wheels and the look of the car is transformed from North American regulatory tragedy to timeless classic. This e30 I spotted over on the Stance Works forums is a great example of a well kept  diving board equipped coupe.
