Random Dopeness: Volume 2

I've decided to create a new category called 'Random Dopeness' for days that I don't have much to say but a few things to post. I figure it's also a good way to prevent myself from re posting content since I have over 200 posts and a bad memory. Here is Random Dopeness two of many.

We can rebuild we have the technology

Today we have another local maxbimmer produced build but this one is pretty crazy because to most rational people this car was not worth saving. To the owner this car held a lot of sentimental value so when his car meet the wall at Mosport the question wasn't whether or not it would make it back to the track the question was rather how mean will it be when it got there.

Winter Wednesdays: Snow Bug

It snowed Monday night after I got home pretty decent but the weatherman says that the weather is going to be above freezing for the next week or so which means I can hopefully wash my car and have it stay clean for longer than two seconds.

What Could Have Been

When my truck got broken into and written off I was left in a bit of a lurch looking for a car. I liked the wagon like properties of the Blazer but hated it being a slow gas pig, I loved Subaru Wagons but couldn't afford one, so I started to look at Mazda Protege 5s and although I ended up with a 3 I still have a soft spot for p5s.

Double Build Update

Looks like Christmas was good to some this year as two of the builds I have been sharing got pretty significant updates over the winter holiday, both the M-tricks Autosports 2002 build and Pat Cyr's F20 AE86 build were updated so let's take a look at what's been done.

Sick Sunday Swagger

I saw these two cars today in a local topic about flushess. Neither are really flush but both are on that One Brands Trash vibe I love so much.

Speed 3 Flushed out

I spotted this on the fatlace forums and had posted it on my local Mazda 3 board but after looking at it and looking at it again I decided I should post it here as well. At first I was not a huge fan of the 3 spoke wheels but they really grew on me.

Going Against The Grain

I first saw this Subaru posted on Noah's blog but until my friend Dave sent me the link to the picture thread on NASIOC I had not seen any photos of it in action. I'm glad to see that the owner actually uses this car as it would have been a shame for him to build it just to get under the skin of people like myself and the crew over at HellaFlush.

Size doesn’t matter

I'm not really sure where I came across this Mini but I'm glad I did. This Mini is wears a set of CCW rims and wears them quite well. CCW rims have to be one of the more popular wheel choices of 2009, I've seen them on almost everything.

Indecisive

I've heard of indecisiveness before but this is pretty crazy. Wicked Mayhem from s10forum.com is a pretty crazy guy who works faster than most people and always has more than one project in the works at any given time. One guarantee with Wicked is that no matter what vehicle he drives it's not going to stay stock height, but it might be both lowered and lifted during his ownership.

Winter Wednesdays: Winter Stretch Union Style

We haven't had much in the way of accumulation so far this week but since there was black ice everywhere last night making an average 20 minute highway rip take me over an hour I figured a Winter Wednesday post was justified. This week we have something from UNION Auto Club, ever seen stretched winters tires?

Winter Wednesdays: The Bucket

Well it's finally happened, the first snow has come to cut down the amount of lowered cars on the road. Ironically the idea for Winter Wednesdays struck me in the summer and therefore I have been saving almost every picture of lowered cars in the winter as I could in anticipation for this winter. While some of us are fortunate enough to have winter beaters most of us do the lowered thing day in day out, Winter Wednesdays are a salute to those of us who do our part in plowing the roads all winter.
