Awhile back I was pointed in the direction of a bunch of well done 9th generation Corrollas by reader KN tee. Once I got through looking at the photos and links he submitted I starred the email with the intentions of getting back to it later.
‘Later’ quickly turned into forgotten until last night when I was parked behind a 9th gen in traffic and it all came flooding back to me, dive intervention perhaps.
Here is one of several Kn sent my way.
I’ve gotta say I am pretty impressed with people are doing with this platform. I have not seen to many of these modded here in Toronto.
This particular one is owned by WTF_Pogi and some of you may have recognize it because it’s been posted (and approved) by Hella Flush.

When I had my e30 I drove it all year round, like all of my cars, and I found that they are quite capable winter vehicles if your heat works well, you have winter tires, and a little weight in the boot.
It also doesn’t hurt if you can stand to watch them get covered in salt half of the year and not cringe.
I suppose the same can be said for most any car I suppose but seeing an e30 covered in salt is quite tragic as they are God’s Chariot after all.
This e30 was posted in one of several ‘Post your car in the winter’ threads I follow and it’s doing a pretty good job of blending in with its surroundings.
I’m going to say this is an 87 325is based on the bumpers, doors, and air damn. I could be wrong, but I could also be right.
Those air damns are plastic and surprisingly resilientBaskets filled with snow kinda remind me of ronal turbos
As for winter, it needs to end. Getting tired of shoveling snow, very, very tired.
Putting together Theme Tuesday posts is a guaranteed way to assassinate any other plans I have in an evening. I had every intention last night to finish of this Accord post and get to playing PS3 quickly until I ended up learning you can lower K cars with stock first gen Neon parts, and that MKII big bumpers fit on Dodge Ominis.
How did that all happen? I dunno, the internet is a time monster.
Anyway here is the Accord post I was working on before I got sidetracked.

Went relic hunting again on my hard drive and pulled out this Civic deep from the archives. I’m fairly sure i pulled it from a Honda-Tech thread one of the seven or so times I’ve actually browsed the site.
Nothing on this car is particularly in your face but it’s clean, simple, and low and comes together quite nicely which makes for a nice easy quick post after a busy weekend. 🙂
When in doubt keep it clean and drop it lowWould love to see what this car looked like racklessAnyone else notice Kyle Crawford changed his watermark 3 times? 😛
The first show after a long, snow filled, Toronto winter is just a few days away and thanks to SIC RYDE I’ve got a pair of passes to give away to one lucky Stance Is Everything reader.
Last years Performance World Show was the first time I met Sic himself, after seeing him riding low for years, so it’s very fitting that he is contributing to this years give away.
If you and a friend would like to attend the 2010 Performance World car show for free all you have to do is correctly guess the number of times the SIC RYDE slogan ‘sic ryde. pass it on‘ will appear in the SIC RYDE display area.
Here is a little background info to help guide your answer:
Each SIC RYDE stanchion has 4 slogans per side, which is 8 slogans per belt
The SIC RYDE show area for 2011 is 150 feet by 20 feet
There are going to be 13 SIC RYDE cars at the show
The slogan will appear on each car at least once
The slogan will also appear on each vehicles sign board at least once
Last year the SIC RYDE show area had 254 slogans in total, this year Sic plans to outdo that number
For those of you who have never seen a SIC RYDE show setup before here are some photos of his displays from Performance World 2010 and Importfest 2010:

Prizing
The person who guesses the number correctly walks away with two passes to Performance World. In the event two or more people guess correctly the winner will be decided at mathematical random of those who were correct.
In the event no one guesses the exact amount the person who is closest without going over will be declared the winner.
In addition to the passes the winner will also receive a pair of SIC RYDE key chains.

Rules
This contest is open to anyone who is able to attend Performance World 2011.
The contest is open from today Monday March 7th 2010 and closes Thursday March 10th at 10:00pm EST (Contest now closed)
The winner will be announced Friday morning at 9am EST and the tickets will be available at show open 10:00am Friday March 11th 2011.
Once the winner is declared they will be contacted via email with instructions on how to collect their prizes.
One entry per email address and you can only enter by commenting on this post with your guess.
Good luck, to all the entrants. See all of you at Performance World and be sure to stop by the SIC RYDE area to check out all the merchandise (t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, hats, stickers, and towels) he has for sale in 2011.
If your wondering how this truck ended up upside down in a frozen lake your guess is as good as mine. However one take away from this video is never under estimate the power of a front end loader.
Thank god for camera phones as we all would have missed this awesome without them.
Just saw this so I figured I would throw it in. This is one of the many reasons why you do not tow with a Mazda 3.
According to RFD this was on the Southbound 404 @ Davis
Site Updates
Working out the final details of a Performance World ticket giveaway for next week, I don’t want to give away too much but it’s looking like it should come together.
Car wise I ordered a different set of camber arms for my car to give me more adjustment range which means my old, never installed, Megan Racing set is for sale if anyone is interested.
I’ve also started polishing one of my wheels. I’ve sanded out the curb rash up to 400 grit now I have to work my way up to 2000 before breaking out the polisher.
A lot of work left to go but I started with the worst condition rim first.
Flashback Friday
Without giving away all the details of the potential upcoming contest lets just say that re-familiarizing yourself with Sic Ryde and his Ryde probably isn’t a bad idea 😉
Seeing the positive reception of that little winter Lupo I posted last week was very encouraging as I’ve got a decent amount of small, fitted, VWs on my hard drive.
Today’s car is an example of what happens when you take a US spec Polo, shave a few things, bring the fenders closer to the wheels with an air ride setup, and stretch 185/45s and 195 45s over 15×8 and 15×9 wheels.
Since quoting Charlie Sheen is the thing to do this week, this Polo: Winning!
Damn that's some pokeI've got this thing for rear 3/4 shots, get me every timeWinning over here, and winning over thereReminds me I have a lot of polishing left in my futureNankangs have to be one of the most stretchable tires
Some of the long time readers, or those of you who have looked through the Theme Tuesday archives, may have noticed I have a bit of an attraction to VW Harlequins.
I like these cars because you don’t see them often and when you do they can’t be missed.
Seeing one thats winter driven never crossed my mind until I saw rabriolet of vortex not given a damn and pushing his through significant accumulation.
The white makes the multicolored panels pop even more.
That... is a lot of snowPersonally days like these are when I become a hermit and play ps3Pushin alongHis previous winter mode used these Schmidts, glad he got some other winters 🙂
Bonus!
Here are some pictures of yesterdays COE being badass out in the snow
1So amazingI would plow my drive like this every dayI mean why not right?
All the heating and cooling cycles this winter have made the roads pretty rough so be easy out there.
This first time I came across this 51 Chevy COE it was posted on another stance blog where the writer stated that it was fairly irrelevant to the forms of stance they normally showcase.
That statement struck me as odd because to me flush, poke, tuck, drag, lowrider, vip, whatever your suspension alteration poison happens if at the end of it all it’s awesome that’s all that matters.
This thing just looks fun to cruise, and judging by the owners photos all over The Netherlands, it is.
The truck now sits on a A 1972 1/2 ton GMC Pickup chassisA Buick big boy 455 engine sits behind the stubby noseShot of the rear end of this magnificent beastThe truck is also, obviously, bagged all aroundLook at all those Swiss troopers out at what looks to be a cold rainy showSlammed at Sunset
Everyone I’ve had a chance to chat with via email or twitter says Wekfest 2011 was a crazy this year with lots of cars and even more people. One day, if I’m lucky, perhaps I’ll plan a trip around attending one and make a vacation out of the whole deal. Or if I am really lucky someone will fly me out (ya right).
The more I see this car the more I like itOn that note I would like to also see more of this carMark's Skyline that is full of winAwesome clean, function based, s2k
