WTF Friday: Go Baby Go

I'm not even sure what to say about this car, it's not shiny, it's not pretty, and it's not even all that low but it is straight up crazy which is why I am posting it today. The creation below appears to be a barn find Ford sedan merged with the motor (Cummins turbo Diesel), transmission, wheels, brakes, and suspension of a much larger vehicle. I wish I could provide more information on this four wheeled terror but I've got nothing.

Man On The Moon

You know those cars you see unfinished that make you think 'damn that should look proper when it's done'? Then once they are finished all you have to go on are cellphone photos and word of mouth stating: 'man you really have to see it in person'. Well this is one of those cars, and while I have still yet to see it in person from what I have heard and the fact it's a CHOPSHOP car I know I won't be disappointed when I do.

Event Coverage: CSCS Finale 2011 Part: Two

The last round of CSCS passing means that a lot of the cars in today's post will be tucked away for the winter very soon. A few might make their way to Importfest Montreal but the rest will either be converted back to winter mode, stored, or go under the knife for rebuilds. With that in mind I made sure to do a few laps of the show and shine Sunday just to make sure I got some photos of some of the more attention grabbing cars

Theme Tuesdays: H20 International favorites

I've been told several times that H20i is an event I need to attend at least once. This year Mike and Jay from Stance Factory offered me a spot where they were staying for weekend and had it not been for some good friends of mine getting married I would have been there enjoying the festivities. However friends/family > cars so like Wekfest and Waterfest I've pulled together some photos that stood out to me in the hour or so I spent last night looking through coverage on various forums.

Event Coverage: CSCS Finale 2011 Part: One

Yesterday marked the conclusion of what might may have been the best CSCS season I have attended. The addition of a new track coupled with very co-operative weather made this ninth year of the Canadian Sport Compact Series one of the most attended and therefore exciting. Though I woke up a bit under the weather there was no way I was going to let myself sit around all day and miss the season ender where people would be battling to find them selves atop their various classes.

WTF Friday: Tales from the installation bay

The tales from the installation bay thread on Blazin Low was one of my favorite threads in its hay day (when all the images worked). As a former technician at a sports store I remember some of the kludged together bikes people would bring in for service so I can somewhat relate to what these installers came across. The thread was also a great example of what not to do when installing the stereo into my ill fated Blazer.

Event Coverage: Roadmates Corn Roast ’11

Roadmates is a Toronto/Mississauga club that's has been all about kick ass hot rods and customs since 1956. My friend Keith has had nothing but good things to say about these guys for awhile so when he gave me the heads up on their annual corn roast I decided to roll through. Next year I'll have to show up a little earlier so I can catch a few more of the cars but I managed to see quite a few awesome rods and customs and eat a killer hot dog and great corn in the process.

Low Tech

This 1940 Ford Coupe is another example of just how easy it is to completely change the look of a car by addressing its ride height, the second I saw it on LOWTECH I knew I would be posting it up. Being a classic this car no doubt turned a few heads at stock height but now riding a little lower to the ground I think it has an even larger appeal. It's not low to the point where purists would be upset but it's also not high to the point where it blends in with other non modified classics.

2005 STI For Sale

If you were at Importfest this year you will probably recognize this car as it was sitting with the rest of the Nine O Five Rides team. As much as I want Tyler to keep this car because I think he's done an exceptional job with it so far I know that if he is selling it means that something a little crazier is just around the bend. Since Tyler took possession of the car it has received a lot of love and car so hopefully posting it here will ensure that the new owner treats it just as well.
