Here is the third and final set of coverage from the August 22nd CSCS at Cayuga Motorsports park. Today is nothing but drifting so if you like your cars sideways this is for you.

I was able to improve quite a bit over the drifting shots I took at last years event so I am really looking forward to shooting some more at DMCC and the next round of CSCS.

Drift Competition

The competition starting with a field of about 16 and was whittled down to top eight, top four, and then a final winner. Anytime a round was too close to call they ran that set again which made for a lot of exciting action.

Drift Possee was on hand to judge and hang out

Notice how the smoke is coming from the middle of the car and not the tires?

That was his clutch giving it's last stand

My friend Chris De la Cruz was out sliding his m50e30

Initiating

He was also running a bunch of my stickers

Thanks man

Pat Cyr says Marin is a guy to watch out for this year

He's already rolled one car, but ain't scared

Marin plays a little follow the leader

He held his own but didn't make it to the final 4

John Fiddy knows how to slide his Skyline

He also knows how to send grass flying

As does Chris St John

The next two pictures are practically the same

Little more angle here

Can't remember who this was but he was photogenic

Kickin' up some smoke at the farther turn in the course

My GF nailed this panning shot

Some tandem sliding

As the track tried the cars started making a lot more smoke

Demo

After the competition all of the competitors got a chance to have some fun.

The guys from Union Auto club know how to cut loose

Cody Loughhead (I think) doing something incredible

Chris came out and raped the hay bale

I was pulling hay out of my pocket for some time after the show

After killing the hay Chris did some doughnuts

Keep drifting fun

I smelled like rubber the whole ride home

More tire fire

Tire companies must love drifting...

Fiddy is going

Sunday August 22nd 2010 was a busy day for the GTA automotive community. Three events took place simultaneously (Vagkraft, Meeting of The Mazdas, and CSCS:Xtreme Tuner Challenege) and depending on your location you were anywhere from damp to soaked as the weather didn’t want any of these things to happen.

Thankfully in Cayuga at CSCS the weather actually wasn’t too bad for most of the day, a little damp at times but for the most part dry and great for photos.

I managed to take quite a few pictures so I’ve broken up the coverage into multiple parts, today’s coverage is of the off track action.

Transformer II

I am a BIG Transformers (Generation 1 & 2) fan but this truck was a bit much for even me. Team H.V. put a lot of time into this truck (Avalanche?) but it was just way over the top.

I've never seen a wooden Autobot insignia before

Massive custom tilt front end

It's won a whole lot of trophies...

Subaru

This is the first time I have seen this Trial wide body Subaru in track trim and I’ll tell ya it looked good out on there on the track.

I might actually like this business setup over his usual set up

Up close of the sticker bomb

Euros

With Vagkraft going on at Downsview park a lot of the European crowd was over there ,but a few came out to enjoy the drier weather at CSCS

Gary's bright wide body e46, this is the first time I have noticed that he could go wider with his wheels

Spotted this MKII Golf in the paddock and out on the track

It was pretty quick

Nice Jetta on big lip RMs

The red on the outside of the lips was a unique touch, you can just make it out here

Chevy’s and Minis

Bowtie owners always bring the goods.

I have been given to OK by my girlfriend to build a car like this Nova

A GTA show regular

James brought his truck out and I manged to shoot it at the worst lighting angle ever

I did however get an alright shot of detailing he has going on underneath the truck

This bagged s10 was looking a little lonely

So some women stopped by to keep it company

Nextmod

As usual Nextmod rolled pretty deep both in the Show and Shine and the time attack/lapping events

Andrew was parked near the track, with the Nextmod fam

Andrew's trunk setup is very clean, I like the red on black

This Acura's Arc lip on the ground

Advnce Power House/Nextmod/Amuse s2000

Pearly's rims are greener than the grass

Drifters

When not on the track I manged to snap a few shots of these well used Nissans

Cooling between runs, this driver pushed his car hard

Chris St John can really slide a car

Nothing zip ties can't fix

Honda’s and Acuras

Just a preview of some of the cars that will probably be at Honda-Tech 7 next weekend, hopefully I can sneak out and get a few pics after the move.

Dumped Accord

With a cleaned, polished/chrome bay

Boosted H.V. performance DA

Big Turbo Inlet horn, looks like a trumpet

Very clean Turo el

Tiddy detailed engine pay

and an equally tidy trunk set up

Very clean functional looking eighth gen

@ChesterYu29's Civic on super Advans

I must have just missed him as he was judging at the show

Msequence got new rims as well as a few spoon accessories

The K swapped CRX from Scrape By The Lake

I almost got a set of these for my car but the offset was just a bit too aggressive (mexi)

I've taken a picture of this EK hatch every time I have seen it, love the color

Three very clean EKs

Never thought I would like purple lips, but here we are

Closer look at the SIR on CCWs

Which is actually owned by a woman

No, I am not tired of these wheels

That’s it for today, check back Wednesday (or maybe Thursday) for photos of the on track action with some guest shots from my girlfriend.

Here is part two of the coverage from the Nextmod 1 year anniversary BBQ that went down last Sunday August 15 2010.

Today’s coverage has all of the brands I missed yesterday with stand outs including the Infiniti and Lexus crowd who brought out some serious low, flush, rides.

Mercedes Benz

The local wheel powder coater in the area brought out his latest project/promo car

It certainly is unique, we were talking wheel/drop options that would work with the finish

Looks like we've got another Batman fan

I might have to take a trip over to Puremb.com and see what those guys are up too

Simple yet effective

Nissans

This s14 was also at stretch and poke, very aggressive.

Well done 350

White on blue looks great and the diffuser is a nice touch

Mazdas

Clean early 3 sedan

Hatch sittin on sportlines

Jon Jons new look, not too many people run this front bumper

Ryan changed up his ride yet again, this time with some camo

TM3 guys have wasted no time with the 2010s

A sinister smile

I'm going to say RX-8s are some of the best looking oem rims ever...

Floodgatez on his way out, this car has changed a lot in a short period

Lexus’

Lexus looking great on a set of Work VS-(kf?) wheels

IS300's are such a versatile platform, they look great many different styles

To the victor goes the spoils, Peter's new rims look fantastic.

Rolled in with Mr. ING, necks snapped when he pulled up

He's got the internet goin' nuts right now

For more pictures of the above Lex check out the shoot on the Scraped Crusaders.

Infinitis

Blain's got his front end back together and looking clean

I have no idea how he got in here at this height

Proper Specs.

G on Raderwerks

No parking and no dumping, both rules broken here

That’s it for all of my Nextmod coverage, big thanks to everyone who I met and who purchases stickers hope you like em!

One of my favorite parts of the original Transformers series was when Jazz, or Optimus, would assemble a group of Autobots to go on a mission, more specifically when Optimus would yell ‘Roll out!’ before they would drive off into the sunset ready to whoop up some Decipticons.

What does this have to do with today’s Theme Tuesday?

Nothing really I just felt like sharing, enjoy this second edition of rolling shots for this Tuesday.

Very clean e46

The fitment on this e46 is just as epic as the sunset

Mini on RMs?

The Mark III Supra body style is slept on

Switching gears here is a hammered s10

And a smooth full size Chevy

Quite like the black hard top on white

s2000 and CCWs are almost always a winning combo

This almost made the rig shots Theme Tuesday that is in the works

Foxy Tuner would be into this

Hovercraftin

One crazy ass Ranger

Ha what?

Well that's one use for a quick release

Check back later today for the rest of the Nextmod Anniversary coverage.

Bryan from Infamous Auto Art recently sent in some shots he took at Scrape By The Lake and Jitter bug 2010.  Bryan’s been out shooting local shows for the past year or so and I’ve posted up a few of his shots here previous.

It’s always a treat to another persons artistic take on an event you have gone to. Nothing beats clean cars, and local talent, I love our scene.

Clean GC under the night lights

Jitterbug looks like fun I should try and make it out next year

More of the Street Outlawz K swapped CRX from Scrape

Bryan's shot of that clean boosted Miata

Sam's 350 which is for sale now

The flush 905 rides g35

Great shot of this 64 hopping at Scrape

The third and final part of the automotive coverage from Scrape By The Lake are the type of cars you would expect at your average car show.

Actually if you think about it this section was the size or a normal car show making Scrape kind of like three car shows in one…

Anyway, quite a few unique rides here as well.

Random stuff

Stickers, bikes, whatever

I think anyone with a bags are for groceries sticker at Scrape got hurt

Amazing, and true

The car the sticker above was on

This made me chuckle

This US Army truck was pretty cool I must say

Salute to any who has enlisted in any sort of military, get back safe

Bagged Saturn Ion? That's a new one to me

Hardcore show cars

Going all out for trophies

So... on to the next one?

I see this car all the time at shows, but only just noticed the tv

I think this started as a Honda, at one point, maybe?

This car is always changing but I think the blower is new

Smart move with the tent this year as the weather was iffy at points

Chevy/BMW

Odd pairing but I have one shot of each brand…

Nice looking Cobalt SS. These > Cavaliers

One of the handful of BMWs that were at scrape

Division R

Sam and a few other guys from Division R made the trek to Scrape

Sam has done a few things since his feature the new hood I noticed right away

and this sticker was also new to me

Division R's Jetta on Keskins

Ford

Boosted Probe

Erock from Nine O Five rides brought his fitted Probe out

I can't recall the last SVT Contour I've seen, and this is no doubt the lowest

Mazda’s

Exclusive Tire's Mazda 3

Rare to see an MX-6 done so well

RX-8 on Gramlights

Fun looking boosted Miata

Honda/Acura

Dudes from New York love this paint effect, they are the only guys I ever see with it

I took a picture of this car at T.A.S.R but this one is a little better

Nice, clean, mostly original RHD CRX

K swapped CRX

Repping for Street Outlawz

I had never seen this kit before, from what I am told it's 12pcs and very rare

Clean looking shaved bay

Under hood close up showing the charger and home made dampener

Classics and Muscle

1/4 mile demon

Patina done perfect

Beautiful

Dirty Lincoln

Nice Impala with a more modern approach

I will never get sick of this front end

Amazing Caddy

When I saw the Chevy on the valve cover I was ready to scream sacrilege

Then I took a closer look and I was ok with it, bet she moves

Part 2 of the multi-part Scrape By The Lake coverage is all about the trucks. I was really impressed at the trucks that came out this year and last year. The trucks I saw last year had new mods and the new trucks I saw this year were crazy.

If you like your trucks low this post is for you.

Under Construction

Some of these trucks have a lot of work ahead of them but look like they are going to be really nice when finished.

This should look really sick once it's all buttoned up

Not sure what the plans are for the hood of this Toyota

Nissan, Datsun, Mazda, Dodge

Import trucks are sort of the oddballs of the mini truck crowd, and the Dakota was the only Dodge I recall seeing.

Clean bagged Datsun

Green Mazda with a sick bed and caddy light conversion

A bagged Dakota? That's a new one

Insanely low body dropped Nissan

This was really hard to capture but there is a ghost tribal effect on the cover

Ford’s

Piss on Chevy

Crazy huge f350

Candy anyone?

Ya, I'd rock this

My friend Matt's Ranger which took home third in it's class

It looks like the pin stripe continues into the engine bay to some degree, which is a nice touch

Chevy’s

Piss on Ford

This 84 SS is in great shape

It's not often you see a 4 door 1st gen at a show

Body dropped s10 laying rocker

This Blazer turned a lot of heads, its drastically different than how they start out

I still love this front end

A Luv! Let's keep this away from Xzibit

Beautifully dropped late gen

2nd gen with a clean Hyrdualic set up

This truck was very clean

This raised floor almost looks like a bed full of water it's so smooth

Nice Siera

I should check in the the LCC guys, have not been on that board in awhile

This would make a great daily, or tow pig, clean, factory wheels, slammed

Another long time LCC member

Nice airbrushing on the hood very subtle

My, my thats high

The International

I had been told about this truck before I saw it and even still I was blown away, it’s simply awesome to see something this big laid right out.

On the damn ground.

Tucking and clean

I really hope someone produces video of this dragging

Check back tomorrow for the cars and the bikini contest.

This past Sunday Stretch & Poke hosted their second event, ‘Hard Parked’ at Humber Bay Park East in Toronto. The turnout for this event was smaller than the last but the cars that did show up were of top notch quality and sometimes a smaller group is better than a larger group when you are hanging out on a Sunday afternoon.

While I was unable to attend Mike Branco, (the Division R member with the Mazda RX-8 on works)  did and was kind enough to give me permission to reproduce his photos here, so without further adieu here is ‘Hard Parked’ through the lens of Mike.

A beautiful shot of the over view of the meet

While not stretching or poking this Acura is damn clean

Proper looking Acura

This el clipped Civic on CCW's is a favorite of mine

Close up of the fitment

Vinyl wrapped lips? They look crazy

I'll never get tired of this s2k

Clean civic

Sitting low with Mugen accessories

Scraped Crusaders in the house

Solid looking golf, construction orange is working well here

Nice looking boosted e36

Mr VIP and a Lexus from the last meet

Mikes RX-8 on Work VS-xx wheels

Another shot of Mikes Ride

Over fendered, flush, s13

Two very fitted Subarus

I dig it

I was never a huge Infiniti fan until I went to a Stretch & Poke meet

Looking at these one's though I can't imagine why I didn't like them

Clean? Check. Low? Check. Dope wheels? Check.

Stretch & Poke

Big thanks to Mike for the photos and Stretch & Poke for putting on the event, hopefully I will be able to make it to the next one.

Growing up one common rule among children is that they all have at least one toy car, next time you’re around kids take a look around and you’ll see at least one happy youngster taking their favorite toy car through its paces in their own little imaginary track.

Those of us who grow to become car enthusiasts trade in our toy cars for one we can drive and our imaginary track becomes real world terrain.

Sam, the owner of today’s featured ride, is an enthusiast who is no longer doing laps in his mind, these days Sam cruises the streets in his low, flush, 350z fittingly plated ‘JDM Toy’.

Sam’s toy story started with his previous car; an immaculate 1995 all wheel drive Eagle Talon TSI, which by the time he was done with it was a 400 hp, ‘99 Eclipse bodied beast sitting dropped on Eagle Alloys.

Sam's previous ride, an Eclipse bodied Talon

However shortly after completing his Eclipse Sam realized that it was no longer what he was looking for in terms of performance and styling.

Sam decided to take his next car in an entirely different direction.

The direction he had in mind was low and flush, and to meet these requirements he chose the Nissan 350z/Fairlady platform.

Sam's newest ride

A strong believer that stance and offset are everything Sam’s new 350z was quickly dropped over 19 x 9.5”/10.5” Varrstoen TE37 replicas with 225/245 tires via, the more popular by the minute, BC racing coil-overs.

Close up of Sam's rear fitment

Sam then pushed his wheels closer to the fenders with 20mm Ichiba spacers in the front and 25mm H&R spacers in the rear before adding SPC rear adjustable control arms and a JIC Magic CF strut brace.

Another shot of Sam's fitment

Sam's fitment is female approved

To further highlight the new stance a Suzuka Urethane front lip spoiler was added to the bumper and a rear deck spoiler to the boot.

A closer look at Suzuka that lip

The factory 350z exhaust note is a glorious, but Sam wanted a little bit more, so removed the factory setup in favor of a Greddy SP2 unit, with Stillen ceramic coated headers, Berk high flow cats, and a Megan racing Y pipe.

Under the hood Sam addressed the Z’s performance with a Takeda short ram intake, skunk2 Plenum spacer, and an OBX pulley set. To keep everything looking tidy under the hood a carbon fiber engine cover.

Down and out

Now that is a nice interior accessory

The future for Sam’s Z has even more horses ready to join the stable as he plans to add an aggressive cam setup and possible ECU reflash or ETC.

Sam, along with his group of fellow car enthusiasts, known collectively as ‘Division R Performance‘, have attended a number of shows (Sight & Sound, Drop Tec OPC to name a few) already this year in the GTA and Sam’s Z has fittingly brought home  number of trophies.

Notable ones include 1st place  Nissan/Infinity, Lowest  ride height, and best Negative camber (twice).

2x best camber winner

Sam showing off just some of his hardware

Sam and Division R Performance are also the driving force key behind the upcoming Voice Coil Meltdown show at Selective Sound and are looking forward to showing everyone why they are one of the most dedicated show teams with some of the cleanest cars in the GTA at that event.

Thanks go out to Sam for giving me the opportunity to feature his ride and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

*All photos copyright original photographers – thanks for the shots

Last time I did a ‘classy modelTheme Tuesday it went over a lot better than I thought it would. Really I shouldn’t have been surprised. Guys like cars, and guys like girls it’s natural.

But girls also like cars, but they often do not like car show models. What girls do like (generally and in addition to cars) are clothes and style, thus classy car models give the female readers something to enjoy as well.

This way everyone wins! Except me, the screening process for this is hell on my eyes :P

Classy... Iroc.. I know but still she's a good looking mostly clothed girl

This photo came up a lot in my search so I included it this time

Can't remember the last time I watched Power Block, is she still the host?

She is trying not to pull a Paris Hilton/Britney Spears

The car's not really my style but...

Another from the same shoot

A lot of the more tastefully dressed models prefer BMWs go figure

More BMW love

Her stance is odd

Rude to point and laugh young lady

Think she's imported?

Checking out back seat space...

Another picture of the Beetle chick from last time

Cool part about this photo is that she owns the car

It's not a car but I don't hear you complaining

Both the car and the girl are stunning
