Theme Tuesdays: RWB

RWB has undeniably become one of the most popular Porsche Tuners (at least on the internet) in the past few years. While out with some friends the other night RWB came up over wings and beer and each of us picked a favourite of Naki-Sans creations. Well... Erik and Aidan were able to choose a favourite I personally couldn't settle on just one.

Event Coverage: The 2013 Canadian International Autoshow: Pt. 1

The Canadian International Autoshow  celebrates 40 years of operation this year which makes me wonder how many I've attended throughout the years. Though the number is likely  less than half I can remember as a child, attending the show with my dad, running from car to car for a  chance go get in the drivers seat and pretend to drive.

WTF Friday: The First of the V10 Interceptors

Near the end of the Fast & Furious 6 Superbowl spot there's a quick shot of a car (piloted by zombie Letty I believe) that  I couldn't quite place but knew I had seen before. The car in question was almost immediately identified on-line as the Jensen Interceptor. For those that may not have heard of it before the Interceptor is a hand built British luxury sports car built from the mid 60's to mid 70's that came with an American heart.

Winter Wednesdays: Paint Is Overrated

A couple years ago I met a gentleman who lives west of me named Jeff. Whether we met through kids bikes or trucks I can't really remember but since I've known him he has always had fairly interesting, low, vehicles. At the time we met he owned a mostly white first generation s-10 that packed such a punch it twisted itself into oblivion. He followed that up with a turbo Cavalier --which I have posted before-- that gets more insane by the day.

Theme Tuesdays: Wheel Stands

I've been dropping hints that this Theme Tuesday was coming for awhile now and I've finally pulled together a collection I'm happy with (at least for a part one). Most of these pictures come from hanging around the H.A.M.B. and the Yellow Bullet forums where they love cars new or old that can put their front wheels in the air via monstrous amounts of torque.

Eurokracy 2013 Announced

Got an email from Jesse over at Airsociety/ Eurokracy today with the vitals about the third year of Canada's Finest European Automotive event, Eurokracy. The 2013 Eurokracy show date is June 29th and it takes place at Napierville Dragway located at 233 Rue Charles, Napierville, Quebec, JOJ 1L0.

2JZ: They Will Put That Shit In Anything!

2JZ motors remind me of the LS motor because, like the Chevy V8, people love to shoehorn Toyota's straight six into any engine bay big enough to hold it (and a few that are not). Other imports, domestics, European cars, and even a couple trucks have all been given 2JZ heart transplants over the years.

WTF Friday: The More The Merrier

I'm sure by this point in time most of you are well aware of my automotive A.D.D. This ailment is the source of most of this sites content and lately it has pointed me towards blogs, forums, flickr groups, centred around over the top creations from the 60's and 70's. I find that era of car modification incredibly interesting because back then people were not scared to do anything to anything. Case in point this hot wheels-esque, four motor, four wheel drive, 'Mustang' funny car.

Talonted

With the Fast Six trailer dropping Super Bowl Sunday, and an extended trailer taking flight later in the week, it's hard not to think back to the early days of the franchise. Looking at the 'car stars' from first instalment it's hard to say which vehicle the movie did more of a disservice; the Mk2 Jetta, The Toyota Supra, or the Mitsubishi Eclipse/Eagle Talon.

The days when a series of interconnected valves would impress are long gone. If you want to build something eye catching you'd better bust out the tube bender!

Event Coverage: Scrape By The Lake 2010 Part 1

Last year I went to Scrape By The Lake for the first time and had a blast. Scrape is one of the most unique car shows in all of Ontario and while it's mainly a low rider show there are classes and cars for everyone's tastes. This year they invited me back with media pass based on my coverage from last year which I was able to get inside the hop pit and get close to the action. Part 1 of the coverage contains pictures of the traditional Low Lows and bikes along with the hop contest photos.

Worked 905 gettin busy

Remember the J-32 powered, Worked 905, Honda Civic I posted in the 'Unique Local Motor Swaps' Theme Tuesday? The same one I saw at Honda-Tech 6 and Vagkraft last year and the same one that was featured on The Chronicles and in the pages of Honda Tuning? If none of this rings a bell click here for quick reminder.
