WTF Friday: Fair Game

Last Saturday my girlfriend and I headed out to Dorchester Ontario for some Thanksgiving festivities and while there we attended the annual fair. This year the fairs main attractions were a freestyle motocross demo and a demolition derby. I am posting the coverage today because a) it doesn't really fit anywhere else and b) Dorchester residents who had never seen FMX before could be heard uttering WTF when the two riders putting on the demo took to the sky.

Fat and Flush: Double Trouble

I've been to neglecting the Fat and Flush category for months (my bad) but these two s2000s I spotted in an appreciation thread should make up for my shortcomings. These two s2000s are a great example of awesome, aggressive setups that don't have any tire stretch or excessive camber. Function and form balance achieved.

Phurple

On Sunday afternoon I was lucky enough to have the owner of this car take some time out of his Thanksgiving weekend to shot some photos and video of my car. While he was working hard I was rolling around on my BMX, tweeting, and uploading photos of our cars to facebook. Several of people seemed pretty into Steve's Phantom Purple 3 on freshly refinished BBS RS wheels so here's a better look at the car as it currently sits.

Theme Tuesdays: Classy Car Models Part 4

At the last round of CSCS Danny from Street Concepts was wearing a T-shirt that said "Say No To Recession Models" in addition to making me laugh this shirt made me realize it's been awhile since I have done a 'Classy Car Model' Theme Tuesday. As always pulling together this group took quite sometime because the trend for most car models (specifically import) is still to wear as little clothes as possible so everyone can see your high points and your low points.

Great Little Car

When I first saw photos of this car I thought perhaps someone had crossed a Chevette with a Pacer and stuffed a big intercooler into the front of it. But after a quick search I learned that it is a 1977 Mazda 323, or Great Little Car as it was apparently called in North America. Before coming across this particular one (which looks to have a boosted spinning Dorito power plant under the hood) I never really had a reason to look into these.

WTF Friday: Sweet Dreams

Speedhunters has deemed October street cars and sleepers month so with that in mind I present to you today's WTF Friday find, the Cream Dream. What's the Cream Dream you ask? Well in this context (I'm sure google could find a few other definitions) the Cream Dream is a 1979 Mercury Zephyr powered by an LSX motor fitted with twin T-70 turbos resulting in 8.68 quarter mile times.

Full of Vigor

Joey from The Chronicles recently tossed up a post called Japanese Treats where he posted a few cars from Japan including this Acura Vigor. In that post he stated that nobody gave a crap about the Vigor in the US and now that I think about it nobody really cared about them in Canada either as I am pretty sure I have not seen one anywhere in a solid 5 years. What's weird is people rocked the hell out of legends (Ludacris loves his) and a lot of people are all about TLs which replaced the Vigor.

Readers Ride: Darren’s 300ZX

It's hard to argue the fact that Nissan knows how to build a capable FR platform, from the original Datsuns to the latest 370z they have certainly made a name for themselves among those who prefer to be pushed rather than pulled. The 300zx is just another example of Nissan's capability to build a solid RWD coupe and the Z32 specifically is a car I wish I saw more of both online and in person so when Darren sent his own 2+2 by my interest was peaked.

Theme Tuesdays: Best of the Fast & Furious

So my friend Josh is to thank blame for today's Theme Tuesday. I actually had a different one 90% complete then we got talking about the Fast and The Furious franchise and next thing you know I am spending my lunch hour collecting images of the cars I liked from all of the movies. This list is probably a little different than Josh thought it would turn out because my 'classic American cars are awesome' bias is clearly showing for a good portion of this post.

WTF Friday: Bosozoku truck

This is one of two Bosozoku builds to be posted here on Stance Is Everything and really it was only a matter of time before more and more North American interpretations of this Japanese tuning style started popping up. There are a few builds out in California and perhaps couple more in Florida but now Arizona as a boso build to call their own.

Theme Tuesdays: Girls With Hot Rides 2

The last girls with Hot Rides Theme Tuesday here was nearly all cars found on various blogs and message boards on the net. This time around in addition to perusing the forums I decided to poll some of my female readers for submissions on facebook and twitter. As it turns out I have quite a few female readers with clean cars ranging from lowered to slammed, and naturally aspirated to boosted.

Theme Tuesdays: Wheels Are Everything Artistic Interpretations

It seems that everyday a new car blog (or fanpage) pops doing the same old song and dance; reposts from the 'heavy hitters' with soft core porn intermixed to pump up fanpage numbers. However every once and awhile I stumble across a new blog that immediately makes it's way into my reader and Wheels Are Everything is one of those blogs.

Copy Cat?

This is really weird to me and I shared it via twitter a few days ago. I never saw this car before I got my new wheels but then I came across it a few days ago on bike guide. I don't know if we are running the exact same wheels but it looks like we have the same drop, exhaust, and lip.

Theme Tuesdays: Uncommon Subarus

The matte green SVX I posted on Facebook (and below) as a teaser for upcoming coverage from Canibeat's First Class Fitment lit the torch for...
