Readers rides: Facebook fans part 2

Since I added the Facebook 'like' button to the post pages last night I figured today would be the perfect time to do another edition of 'Readers Rides' from the facebook fan page. The fan page has been really active lately so it you are not a fan already take a look as I often post things on there that don't make it here, and generally try and be just as interactive on there as I am here. Anyway, enough plugs, let's check out some of your rides.

Cat Toy

This sick looking Audi belongs to a poster on a BMX forum I frequent and it's pretty damn tidy. The healthy drop and monochromatic color scheme keep things pretty low key but the more you look at it the more you notice.

Fitted

It's been awhile since I have posted Honda Fit's, a long while, and I know I have not posted many fits of this generation. These cars take a certain type of finesse to pull of properly because of their compact but high profile silhouette, when done clean and simple they don't look bad, and real Volks never hurt anything.

Theme Tuesdays: Low Citroens

You guys can thank Ollie for this weeks Theme Tuesday as he is the one who introduced me to the crazy world of Citroen 2CV's which ultimately lead to today's post. Despite the unique (odd) suspension design of Citroens, the 2cv specifically, people drop them just the same. Further proof that if you build it someone will slam it.

Get Buck

Anyone know where I can find more pictures of this VW? Looks damn good from what I can see.

Event Coverage: Street Classics July 31st

After last weeks Theme Tuesday on muscle cars I was in the mood to check some out in person once again so I made my way out to the local Street Classics cruise in on Saturday Night. Unfortunately soon after I arrived it started to rail lightly which put a quick end to things, but, I was able to fire off some shots and get something for WTF Friday. I also meet a real down to earth s-10 owner in the process, good times.

Infamous Auto Art

Bryan from Infamous Auto Art recently sent in some shots he took at Scrape By The Lake and Jitter bug 2010. Bryan's been out shooting local shows for the past year or so and I've posted up a few of his shots here previous. It's always a treat to another persons artistic take on an event you have gone to. Nothing beats clean cars, and local talent, I love our scene.

WTF Friday: Autograss

Take a small car (preferably)rear wheel drive car, strip out basically everything, add a roll cage and a fire extinguisher (do not add giant roof wing), and proceed to only turn one direction on a natural race track surface and what do you have? Well, apparently, you have Britain's most popular form of grass roots motor sport, Autograss. I just found out about Autograss last week and with tons of classes for every level of racer (both financial level and skill wise) Autograss looks like a great way to have a lot of relativity cheap fun. I want in!

Geby is doin the damn thing

Just the other day @gebyz hit me up with this picture on twitter. After taking a look at it I quickly remembered that I had actually posted a picture of his car before, an RX-7 as sick as this is not easy to forget. Geby, who hails from the same area of BC as the Drift Union guys, has done a great job putting together one serious looking and performing RX-7.

I love it when a plan comes together

When the second generation Mazda 3s came out I wasn't really the biggest fan of the Cheshire cat grill and bumper combo but when I saw a few modified I warmed up a little bit. Then when Steve -aka 'Aitch'- sent me a Photoshop of what he planned to do with a 2012 SkyActiv Sport my opinion changed almost entirely.

Theme Tuesdays: Karmann Ghias

The Karmann Ghia is a car that prior to starting this site I didn't really know a whole lot about. I think I had maybe seen a handful  up to that point, but I never really put much time into learning much about them.

Theme Tuesday: 2018 Canadian International Autoshow Wheel Gallery

The precursor to coverage of the 2018 Canadian International Autoshow is this wheel gallery. New OEM models, vintage racing models, and the bleeding edge of lightweight technology are all included within.
