I’ve always liked (early) VW Corrados, probably because I like Sciroccos quite a bit as well and they share a similar feel.
While their reliability might be up for question but their ability to look good dumped on a clean set of rims isn’t.
It’s a damn shame that they came fwd as a sliding Corrado would be a treat.
Today's post fills me with a lot of regret when it comes to my old RMsThis dark blue looks really good on hi polished CCWsNice shotOlive drab looks pretty killer here, so does the 2nd set of wheelsMy under hood is such a mess and I run with a hoodFantasticDark blue ftwAnother awesome shotBack shot.Killin itNice lookin interior as wellI am glad my wallet is far away from this carBritish Racing Green?More RM'sMurdered RM looking greatVW's always roll deepKiller other than the hoodWinLocal Corrado that took home some hardware at CSCSAnother local Corrado from the e30 meet, a Scraped Crusader

This weekend was the 5th Annual Voice Coil Meltdown and Tuner Jam Show put on by Division R Performance and hosted at Selective Sound in Mississauga. Since I had missed this show all four previous years I made a mental note to attend this one even before Sam had invited me out to the event to cover and sponsor it.
The show had a great turnout and for the most part the weather cooperated, here are the photos from this year and I hope to make it out again next year.
Funny stickers
You all know how much I love my sticker humor.

Jeeps and bikes didn’t really fit in with the rest of the categories I made.

This is the second DB contest I’ve attended so the novelty of super loud stereos has yet to wear off. These guys go to extreme lengths for 1 more decibel.

Congrats to all the winners and Sam for putting everything together. See you next year.
Last Sunday I decided to treat my dad to a classic car show for Fathers day and with the ‘Classics Against Cancer’ show being the same day I figured it was meant to be, unfortunately even though the show was scheduled until 4 a lot of the cars started rolling out at 3:30. While I was quite disappointed my dad seemed to enjoy the show regardless of the fact lot of cars had already left.
Since a lot of the cars were gone by the time we arrived today’s coverage is a little different than my normal fare but if you like anything on wheels you will enjoy.
Kits
Part of the show was dedicated to Kit cars which was pretty cool because kit cars are all sorts of fun.
Anyone ever driven one of these? What's it like how do they handle? Not sure what this car is supposed to resembe but it looks pretty rad
Imports
Imports from all over the place, not just Asia.
Nice looking 240zRare to see a Morris Minor in these partsA pack of British roadstersI was shocked when google informed me this is a UK-Ford!

Though billed as a classic show they did have a few young blood cars out.

That’s it for this years Cars Against Cancer, be sure to check out last years coverage if you missed it. Maybe next year I will try and arrive early…
This has been a crazy week for the Toronto area, the upcoming G8 and G20 summits have turned the downtown core into a media and security frenzy. In close proximity to the summit you have a mix of people who don’t care, people who care too much, and police in riot gear all milling around, and as if things were not volatile enough mother nature decided Wednesday would be a great day for an earthquake.
The ground shaking must have jarred some things loose in this local nut’s brain because he was caught cruising around in Hyundai with a crazy home made container on his roof filled with weapons, details inside.
Here is the blogTO article I read on the incident which linked to the globe and mail.
A man has been arrested near Scott Street and The Esplanade for driving a vehicle with an arsenal of weapons.
Police seized a crossbow, five arrows, a sledgehammer, a pick-axe, a chainsaw, a baseball bat, a gasoline canister, and a cola bottle from the driver’s silver Hyundai.
The vehicle was outfitted with a homemade steel container tied to the roof and a bumper tied on with string. Police also found a copy of “100 ways to Make Money on the Internet,” in the car.
EDIT: Turns out that the guy has some mental health issues and was living out of his car, thus making this a lot less weird.
As you can see he was rolling with a pretty serious arsenal of weapons the craziest (to me) being a cross bow, who the hell has a cross bow in 2010?
Pictures of the death mobile and it’s weapons below:
I wonder if this type of roof rack/contraption will become popular among the stance crowd?Hazardous material of various types were just chilling in his trunk, no big deal.Do people normally have cross bows? Any of you guys own a cross bow?Normally I wouldn't assume a man like this dangerous...
Site Updates
The store has been updated if you didn’t notice and I’ve been busy again sending out sticker which is awesome. I might try and tally up how many I have sold latley to get an idea of just how many S.I.E. stickers are floating around in the wild.
Event wise this weekend I will be attending the Voice Coil Meltdown show to cover and sponsor it. I am looking forward to meeting the Division R guys in person.
I’m also going to try and get my coverage of the Classics Against Cancer show up tomorrow as as I did not have a chance to get the photos edited this week.
Feature wise I have a photographer feature lined up for next week along with a mini featured ride, getting busy around here…
Finally BC racing and I have figured out what I need to do to get lower and I expect the parts to ship out soon. I should be the only Mazda 3 on this set up once everything arrives.
Shortly after I spotted this A3 at Summer Sizzle 2 the owner, Pedro, shot me an email with photos illustrating the transformation it’s gone through since he has owned it.
Much like his fellow Division R members Mike and Sam Pedro’s car is clean and to the point. No outrageous paint jobs or body kits to be found in these ranks.
Pedro’s A3 rides on Koni coil overs and sits on 18″ SSW wheels which compliment his black and white exterior very nicely. His exterior has been debadged in the rear and had a black front grill surround and Cupra R front lip installed in the front.
Pedro’s performance mods include a Carbonio intake, and ARP chip, down the road he plans to go to APR stage 2 as well as add an inter cooler and down pipe to the mix.
For more info on Pedro’s ride check out the full mods list after the photos. To see this car in person come to Voice Coil Meltdown this Sunday.

In the ‘new font’ url stickers I have 3 yellow, 3 purple, and 10 white stickers in stock as well as some stock in pink, green, gold, and gunmetal from the previous font.
Click through to see some photos of the new product!
Eventually all of the URL stickers will be transitioned to the new font in all colors along with the introduction of reflective vinyl (some will be prizes at Voice Coil Meltdown) and more colors of everything else.
The panties on the white version are removable if you want all whitePretty pumped on the new font, going to have to swap out mine next batch
That’s all of the shamless plugs for now I will be back later today with another ride from Division R Performance.
I have always loved good graffiti, not crudely draw penises and crappy tags, but large murals full of vibrant color and intricate designs. When I look at these pieces I wonder how much time goes into them and how they evolve.
It’s probably very similar to building car, some artists go in with an end goal in mind while others just wing it and see where they end up.
Maybe this is why cars and murals seem to go together so well, thankfully Toronto has lots of great murals which more often than not they can serve as an awesome backdrop for great looking cars. Which they have done today for a pair of Subarus.

Some day soon I’m going to have to make it out to some local spots first hand and take some pictures of my own.
The scale didn’t need that much of a tip however since I seriously considered getting one of these before I got my Mazda 3. In the end I opted for the Mazda 3 because it could carry more bikes and people at once than the RSX.
These are one of the rims I have my sights set on for the futureThis speed bump is unessecarily largeLocal RSX which I have seen at a show or twoAnother shot of a clean local DC5Another local car that was at Strech & Poke 1Simple.Maybe I should keep my eye out for these wheels too...Well done sirThis one is also very well put togetherMore equipsI came across this car a lot but thought this pic had the most impactI have never seen a DC5 Type R in person...Quite like this colorI gotta get out to the trackThe flushnessThis rear diffuser really cleans up the back endEven more so when body colorKudos to the photographer this shit is sick
Keven and I headed out to the meeting spot for 2010 Maxbimmer midnight cruise on Friday night and while we didn’t go on the cruise itself from what I read it went off without incident which is great because a whirly bird was floating above the meeting spot at about 11:30.
There is always a great variety of cars at this spot (as it’s a meeting spot for other clubs as well) so here are some of the photos I took while Keven got a chance to catch up with some old faces.
Outsiders
Basically every type of car enthusiast stopped by for a bit here are the ones I was able to take a picture of before they left
This Nova loves to rockA few VW guys showed up right before everything popped offThis RX-7 was dialed so I took a few pictures of itI really liked the wingless look with the RPF-1sNice stance also

Jet ski’s are a lot of fun, provided you don’t flip them in the middle of the lake and have to get towed by a fishing boat back in to fix it, but getting them to and from the lake can be a bit of a challenge.
Getting it out of a lake becomes more of challenge if you don’t have a proper trailer to do so. These two guys almost had a method worked out to but then mother nature, gravity, and common sense took over which resulted in a nice little fail.
From what I’m told they are doing a lot of swearing in french:
Bonus!
Saw this on Farm Of Minds and had to put it up, these crashes are wild.
Site Updates
Seche Media has confirmed that my new stickers have shipped out and they should be here as early as tonight or as late as Monday.
Either way I am really excited to see what they come out like as I have some special edition ones for Voice Coil Meltdown as well as 2 tone I like em dropped stickers.
Once I get the new shipment expect an update post.
Tonight I am going to take some pictures at the meeting spot of the Maxbimmer midnight cruise, pretty sure Keven is rolling with me to this as well so it should be good times.
I’ve also got a few emails to respond to so if I have not yet don’t worry I read all the emails I get and will response soon it’s just been a busy week. Lots of readers rides coming soon which is awesome.
Finally here is my status with BC-Racing regarding getting my car down another .5 of an inch in the front.
We will be doing a test fit btwn now and then to confirm there will be no issues.
Mike
Cross your fingers for me.
Flashback Friday
I’ve been thinking I should get my iphone out and snap more street finds lately so to remind myself I figured I should shine some light on one of the more unique ones I spotted last year. This Koenig-Special widebody benz.
