Theme Tuesdays: Subaru Legacys

When it comes to low Subaru's I feel that Impreza (wrx/sti) steal the spotlight quite a bit, which isn't really a bad thing because a lot of them are well done, however most of Subaru's models are capable of looking great with a drop and the right set of wheels ( actually plenty look good lifted with meaty tires as well but that would be for a different themed site). I've had a couple of these Legacys kicking around for awhile and last night I decided to gather a few more so that I could post them all up at once.

Event Coverage: The 2011 Toronto Honda Indy

2011 marked the 25th Anniversary of the Toronto Honda Indy and thanks to my friend Steve I got to check out the anniversary festivities on Saturday. This was the day before the big show but that didn't mean there wasn't a lot taking place on and off the track for us to check out. Canadian Touring Car Championship cars were all over the place, along with Ferrari Challenge cars, and Izod Indy light cars. Not to mention the booths, tents, and displays from event sponsors.

Red A3 Remixed

Most of you have probably seen this car already as it's been around for awhile and I posted it's previous look back in 2009. A couple months ago when the BBS CH wheels were switched out for BBS LMs I was ready to do another post on the car but got caught sleeping and a few other blogs ran the photos so I didn't then I kind of forgot about the car briefly. However the owner recently posted some photos that jolted my memory.

WTF Friday: It attacks in the night

People who build sleepers have to be some of the most creative and dedicated car people period. The dedication it takes to do something ridiculous to your car but keep it as stock looking as possible so as not to give away your secret is nothing short of incredible. Sleeper builds are always creative, interesting, and motivating. Motivating because after seeing the fabrication skills someone went through to get their idea to work it makes doing simple bolt-ons seem like nothing worth complaining about.

Readers Rides: Facebook Fans Part 5

I've been meaning to dedicate another post to Readers Rides for awhile now but with the amount of event coverage I have been doing combined with features and guest coverage it's been hard to find a day to dedicate to it. However with the Facebook fan page clicking over to 4000 people yesterday (thanks everyone who has liked the page) I think today is the perfect day to show some of your cars some love, it was long overdue.

Event Coverage: Too Fast Custom Car Show

Last weekend I went my second show at the Powerade Center in Brampton (the first being Vagkraft in 2009) which was the Too Fast Custom Car Show put on by SLC Productions and Too Fast motors. This was my first 'Heat The Street' show of the year (their 7th in total) so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect in regards to turnout number and quality of cars. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised on both counts, many of the usual suspects came out to enjoy the sun along with a few people and cars I had not seen in awhile.

Theme Tuesdays: Old School Minitrucks

After googling Truxarossa for last weeks WTF Friday I came across an old school mini truck thread on streetsource.com and was hooked instantly. I was no where near driving age when a lot of these trucks were out killing the streets and gracing covers but I do have hazy memories of similar style trucks still being around the time when I began to start noticing automobiles a lot more.

Featured Ride: Kevin’s Varis STI

Being a car enthusiast and working at a tuning shop is akin to being a kid at a candy store, all of the resources you could possibly want to put together an incredible car is right at your fingertips waiting for you every day. Kevin, an employee at Nextmod, put all of these resources to work when he decided it was time to take his 2010 STI from mild to absolutely wild.

Guest Coverage: Slamology 2011

Reader Scott Simmons recently went to Slamology 2011 which took at the Marion County Farigrounds June 18th and 19th and sent in these photos. Wow is pretty much all I can say about the level of trucks and cars that were at the show. I am going to have to make a point to try and attend a large American show because the turn out of completely buried in the weeds mini trucks at these events never seems to disappoint.

WTF Friday: Zingers

Awhile ago I came across a fairly small picture of a few oddly proportioned, about go kart sized, vehicles sitting on an oval track waiting for a scantily clad woman to drop the flag and thought what the heck are those? Then I forgot about the picture almost entirely.

WTF Friday: Not sure what to make of this

Chances are that if I said I was going to post a carbed, rear wheel drive, Honda Accord the vehicle in this video wouldn't resemble what you were picturing in your head. It just makes more sense for a Honda fitting that description to be powered by an American power plant, after all it's been done before. However the two men behind this build decided to take a road much less traveled and throw a Honda J33 T6 motor in the back of a stripped out Honda Accord with fiberglass panels and call it a day.

Guest Coverage: Fitted Fes 1

Late in 2011 I got a fairly larger order from a Takafumi Ebata, a Stance Is Everything reader from Japan. The first time I sent out the order I misread it and as a result a few things were missing, so to make amends I resent the entire order along with some freebies from the mystery box. Fast forward a few weeks and Takafumi showed his appreciation by sending through some photos from Fitted Fes 1 which took place January 22nd in Nagashima Japan.

Event Coverage: Mosport DMCC Part 2

In between the qualifying runs and the finals at DMCC I took some time to quickly pass through the show and shine/pit area so it only makes sense that the coverage of said show and shine appears between the qualifying coverage and finals coverage. In hindsight it was free to enter the show and shine so I should have thrown my car in for kicks, next year...

Theme Tuesdays: Turbo Dodge

Ok Mopar fans you can ease up on the hate encouraging emails because I am finally doing the 'turbo dodge' Theme Tuesday many of you have requested. While Dodge has a habit of turbo charging random vehicles their owners are generally not down to to put them on the ground.
