WTF Friday: Guess This Supercar

It's been awhile since we've have played the guess this car game and as soon as I saw this car it would make a perfect candidate. Having been interested in cars most of my life it's fairly rare for me to come across a model of car by manufacturer I have never heard of before (kit cars aside). Noah and Phil are normally pretty good at posting models of cars I have never seen before so chances are they might have an idea what it is, and so might Ollie as he knows his fair of oddball cars as well. Regardless this contest is open to all of my readers and if you figure out what today's car is you win your choice of url stickers, let's get to guessing.

Featured Photographer: Matt Berenz

It’s been quite awhile since I last featured a photographer here on Stance Is Everything so I am very happy to be able to showcase this photographer’s work today. Matt Berenz hails from the Durham region and rolls with The Scraped Crusaders, which means that he never has to look far for a clean dropped ride to shoot, but Matt talents are not restricted only to automotive photography. His natural gift allows him to shoot a number of different subjects with ease and he is also very capable videographer as well.

IS300 V.I.P. Build update

Mr. Borges dropped me a line recently to let me know that his V.I.P. IS300 build is moving forward full steam ahead. If you remember last we left this build the car was looking pretty stock and he had a pile of parts sitting in his basement waiting to go on. Fast forward to today and we will find that most of the parts have made their way onto his ride. Let's take a look at what's been done.

Theme Tuesdays: Early Body Corrados

I've always liked VW Corrados, probably because I like Sciroccos quite a bit as well and they share a similar feel. While their reliability might be up for question but their ability to look good dumped on a clean set of rims isn't. It's a damn shame that they came fwd as a sliding Corrado would be a treat.

Event Coverage: Voice Coil Meltdown 5

This weekend was the 5th Annual Voice Coil Meltdown and Tuner Jam Show put on by Division R Performance and hosted at Selective Sound in Mississauga. Since I had missed this show all four previous years I made a mental note to attend this one even before Sam had invited me out to the event to cover and sponsor it. The show had a great turnout and for the most part the weather cooperated, here are the photos from this year and I hope to make it out again next year.

Event Coverage: Classics Against Cancer

Last Sunday I decided to treat my dad to a classic car show for Fathers day and with the 'Classics Against Cancer' show being the same day I figured it was meant to be, unfortunately even though the show was scheduled until 4 a lot of the cars started rolling out at 3:30. While I was quite disappointed my dad seemed to enjoy the show regardless of the fact lot of cars had already left. Since a lot of the cars were gone by the time we arrived today's coverage is a little different than my normal fare but if you like anything on wheels you will enjoy.

WTF Friday: Medieval Death Sedan?

This has been a crazy week for the Toronto area, the upcoming G8 and G20 summits have turned the downtown core into a media and security frenzy. In close proximity to the summit you have a mix of people who don't care, people who care too much, and police in riot gear all milling around, and as if things were not volatile enough mother nature decided Wednesday would be a great day for an earthquake. The ground shaking must have jarred some things loose in this local nut's brain because he was caught cruising around in Hyundai with a crazy home made container on his roof filled with weapons, details inside.

More from Division R

Shortly after I spotted this A3 at Summer Sizzle 2 the owner, Pedro, shot me an email with photos illustrating the transformation it's gone through since he has owned it. Much like his fellow Division R members Mike and Sam Pedro's car is clean and to the point. No outrageous paint jobs or body kits to be found in these ranks.

Guest Coverage: Spring Fling 2012

There are a few shows in the area that for one reason or another I am never able to attend, Vanfest being one and Spring Fling being another. Taking place practically around the corner from my house at the Canadian Club Hansa Haus this almost 10 year show is known for bringing out some of the best euro cars in the area which makes missing it year after year a real bummer.

Man In Motion

Things have been a little bit quiet around here, but there's been good reason for that. Grab a drink and read about what I've been up to!

Since I can't ride my bike this summer (I'm recovering from an Achilles tendon rupture) I've been putting as much of my spare time...

Event Coverage: S&P June 19th 2011: Part 2

Back with the final set of photos from the June 19th Stretch and Poke event (aka 'The Stakes is High'). Today's coverage is quite simply everything I didn't post in part 1. Looking back I wish I shot a little more but as always hindsight is 20/20 and talking with people is easier than taking photos. Not too fussed though I will see these cars again soon and I think the next S&P event at Downsview Park I will raid Lyndsey's lens stash to switch up the look of the photos a little bit.

WTF Friday: Off Track

The cold makes people do weird things, especially the cold out here in Ontario that is several degrees below 0 for week-long stretches. Some people...
