Guest Blog: Theme Tuesdays: Air Bag Love Pt. 2

One of the most unnecessary arguments in the automotive community, in my opinion, is the static vs air debate. I just don't get it, people should get down how they want to get down and that should be the end of it.

Guest Coverage: Fitted Fes 1

Late in 2011 I got a fairly larger order from a Takafumi Ebata, a Stance Is Everything reader from Japan. The first time I sent out the order I misread it and as a result a few things were missing, so to make amends I resent the entire order along with some freebies from the mystery box. Fast forward a few weeks and Takafumi showed his appreciation by sending through some photos from Fitted Fes 1 which took place January 22nd in Nagashima Japan.

Theme Tuesdays: I Like Mine With No Shine – part 2

2010. That post was made up of mostly black cars and with a couple cars switched out it could have easily passed for a 'murdered out' Theme Tuesday. This go round I took a little more time picking out the cars to include and pulled together a wider variety of cars including modern, euro, and the cars mysteriously missing from the last post, classics.

2011 Event Year In Review: Part 1

What a year 2011 was event wise in Ontario. It seemed like there was something going on at least every other weekend, if not every weekend, often with two events occurring at the same time. While I did my best to make it to most of the major local events (as well as some of the underexposed ones) it was pretty much impossible for me to attend them all, luckily a few people helped me out with great Guest Coverage again this year. This post will be a chronological run through of the first twelve events I attended in 2011.

Winter Wednesdays: Achtung

I was pretty surprised yesterday when I went to leave Joyride and was greeted with a snow covered car, with Christmas being so green I just sort of assumed we were not getting snow for awhile. With snow comes a lot of things that suck: extended travel times, frozen doors, reduced visibility and worst of all salt. However snow also brings with it some good like drifting (or e brake sliding), snowboarding, and most importantly the return of Winter Wednesdays here on SIE.

Caught Slippin’

Turns out I need to dust off my Bimmer Forums account because apparently sleeping on that forum has resulted in my missing cars like this unreal Laguna Seca Blue 2002. Good thing Jay at Stance Factory has got my back and forwards along the good great stuff. This 2002 is incredible and perhaps the best use of LSB ever?

Readers Rides: Email Edition

There has been a steady increase in the amount of previous, under construction, and current readers rides that have arrived via email over the past six months. As most of the past readers rides posts have focused on cars from the fan page I decided to dedicate this one strictly to cars that have shown up in the [email protected] inbox. This is by no means all of them, and I plan to do a few more of these before the winter is over.

WTF Friday: Rotary Isetta

Surprisingly this is the second crazy Isetta to get WTF Friday honors here on Stance Is Everything, the first was a crazy mash of worlds Isetta 500 that had a P51 Mustang (airplane) motor driving the wheels. Today's is slightly tamer borrowing its power plant from an 87 Mazda RX-7. Another important difference between the two builds lies in the budget. One is unknown and the other was limited to 2010 dollars as that was one of the requirements of the Grass Roots Motorsport Challenge that it was was built for.

Theme Tuesdays: Women And Cars Part 2

Time again to do a pretty straight forward Theme Tuesday post, the kind you could find on any other blog. Sorry this is not as creative as some of the previous ones. I'm not even sure you guys will like it.... /sarcasm Warning: Potentially NSFW unless maybe you work at the Brass Rail or just DGAF.

Got Nine Grand?

Looking to pick up a new car and have nine thousand dollars? Then maybe you should give this 97 328is strong consideration because even if it didn't have an Active auto c30 intercooled and water cooled fully rebuilt super charger setup it would be a steal. I've seen this car around a couple of times and it would be a damn shame if it just sat in a garage on fire and theft for the rest of it's days.

Guest Coverage: Drift Ops Oct 30 2011

Drift Ops along with Cool Kids and sponsor Sailun Tires just wrapped up a successful season of drift events at local track Shannoville. In some cruel twist of fate I was busy every Sunday that they had an event this year, but for the season-ender Charles Spivak was able to make it out and he kindly offered up his coverage for the site.

Theme Tuesdays: Vette Wheels

Today's Theme Tuesday is a direct result of a suggestion from the fanpage, if you ever have something you want to see don't be scared to throw out an idea. I usually get started right away so I don't forget. The use of Vette wheels seems to have slowed down some from late 2009 and 2010 but they still mange to show up in some of the darnedest places.
