The Scraped Crusaders do Jitterbug 2010

Gilbert, Matt and the rest of The Scraped Crusaders made their way to the 24th annual June Jitterbug in Niagara Falls last weekend and judging from the pictures had one heck of a good time. Here are the photos Matt took at the show with captions written by Gilbert (the lead blogger over at The Scraped Crusaders) who's not a VW aficionado but a stance lover none the less.

Featured Photographer: Matt Berenz

It’s been quite awhile since I last featured a photographer here on Stance Is Everything so I am very happy to be able to showcase this photographer’s work today. Matt Berenz hails from the Durham region and rolls with The Scraped Crusaders, which means that he never has to look far for a clean dropped ride to shoot, but Matt talents are not restricted only to automotive photography. His natural gift allows him to shoot a number of different subjects with ease and he is also very capable videographer as well.

Theme Tuesdays: Early Body Corrados

I've always liked VW Corrados, probably because I like Sciroccos quite a bit as well and they share a similar feel. While their reliability might be up for question but their ability to look good dumped on a clean set of rims isn't. It's a damn shame that they came fwd as a sliding Corrado would be a treat.

Event Coverage: Classics Against Cancer

Last Sunday I decided to treat my dad to a classic car show for Fathers day and with the 'Classics Against Cancer' show being the same day I figured it was meant to be, unfortunately even though the show was scheduled until 4 a lot of the cars started rolling out at 3:30. While I was quite disappointed my dad seemed to enjoy the show regardless of the fact lot of cars had already left. Since a lot of the cars were gone by the time we arrived today's coverage is a little different than my normal fare but if you like anything on wheels you will enjoy.

Event Coverage: ’10 Maxbimmer Midnight Cruise

Keven and I headed out to the meeting spot for 2010 Maxbimmer midnight cruise on Friday night and while we didn't go on the cruise itself from what I read it went off without incident which is great because a whirly bird was floating above the meeting spot at about 11:30. There is always a great variety of cars at this spot (as it's a meeting spot for other clubs as well) so here are some of the photos I took while Keven got a chance to catch up with some old faces.

Theme Tuesdays: Classy Car Models Part 2

Last time I did a 'classy model' Theme Tuesday it went over a lot better than I thought it would. Really I shouldn't have been surprised. Guys like cars, and guys like girls it's natural. But girls also like cars, but they often do not like car show models. What girls do like (generally and in addition to cars) are clothes and style, thus classy car models give the female readers something to enjoy as well. This way everyone wins! Except me, the screening process for this is hell on my eyes 😛

Event Coverage: GTA Spring E30 Meet – by Sam H

Contributing photographer/e30 addict, Sam H made it out to another Maxbimmer e30 meet last Saturday after attending a BMW-Trillium auto cross. As always his coverage is great and his rolling shots are off the hook. While not everyone had their e30s out at this meet (they take a little longer to get out of hibernation than newer cars) there was still a great bunch of cars out. I hope to make it to the fall meet and hang out with some of the familiar e30/bmw fam.

Theme Tuesdays: Pictures With Attitude: 3

Another follow up to the 'Pictures with attitude' Theme Tuesday series, these sometimes take a little longer than other themes to come together but they always go over quite well. I'm also about half way through another Classy car model Theme Tuesday as well so fingers crossed I can have that for you guys next week.

Theme Tuesdays: BBS LM Appreciation Part 2

BBS LM's are an amazing looking wheel with a design that never goes out of style. Some might say the LM is played out but I would rather go with timeless, BBS is one of the few wheel manufacturers with a near flawless record of putting out designs that are versatile, unique, sought after, and often imitated but never duplicated. I did a BBS LM appreciation post last year and the time as home for me to do it once again, hope you don't mind.

Readers Rides: Facebook Fans

I've made it a point over the last few weeks to interact with those of you on the facebook 'like' page more and while doing so I noticed that the fan photos gallery had some super clean looking readers rides. For those not on facebook or part of the 'like' page page here is some of what you are missing out on.

Slammed VW at College Park Tuning 2010

Jon Gandy over at Up-shift.net went to the College Park Tuning Show and snapped these pictures of a dumped Golf sitting on Bentley wheels. Being a good guy and knowing that I am a big fan of low, and an equally big fan of wheel swapping, he sent them over to the Stance Is Everything email address, once I took a look I knew they would have a home here.

Theme Tuesdays: Rolling Shots

Rolling shots are really an art, whether meticulously planned or a random snap out of a window they always have a way of bringing out the best parts of a car and minimizing the worst. Maybe that's why Rolling shot appreciation threads can be found on virtually every car forum on the net, here is my homage.
