Theme Tuesdays: BMW E46

After spending a lot of time yesterday working on the Turbo Dodge, turned compact American car Theme Tuesday and not really getting anywhere (but reading a lot of interesting threads about why aggressive fitment is the devil) I decided to take a break and bounce around some forums and blogs. Doing this I found out that one of my favorite e46s is being parted out and sold, so I set out to find a new favorite, along the way I encountered the ones below plus many more for a follow up down the road.

Event Coverage: S&P June 19th 2011: Part 1

Stretch and Poke's second official meet of the 2011 season was on Sunday and it brought out all of the usual suspects (Scraped Crusaders, StreetClass, Dorimoto and more) as well as some of the people behind the upcoming ImportExpo. Dave and his ever growing crew are working pretty hard this year to raise the bar in regards to meets in the Toronto area and so far so good as they were able to pull a decent crowd even for Fathers day.

WTF Friday: Best space saver ever?

Flats suck. I've never get one on a day where I wasn't going to something important. Another thing that sucks about flats is having to run the super tiny spare (unless you are lucky enough to have full size) until you can get it fixed. Well to make the slow drive on a spare a little more bearable a cleaver Long Islander has made up a spare of extra BBS RS parts. Now if you get a flat you can roll in style and clear your big brake kit.

C-C-C-C-Combo breaker

Traditionally I only post in the WTF Friday category or Fridays, however I will make an exception when Steve Wharton at E11even: 11 is involved and leaves gems like these on my facebook wall on a Thursday night. These photos of Division R Sam's previously featured, and recently transformed 350z, were shot a few days ago at a Niagara region airfield which happens to be home to a few lovely planes including a hand polished Lockheed.

Patience

When fitting a car well patience is key as it is what can separate a dialed setup from one that is constantly destroying your fenders and tires. Unfortunately it seems that lately a lot of people are rushing into more aggressive setups which can hurt the over all look of a car, especially one that is meant to look clean. That's not the case with this Subaru, the owner carefully planned everything he wanted to do to change his 2010 setup.

2002 leagues above the sea

Maybe I am just paying more attention now but it seems in the past few years people have been giving BMW 2002s more love here in the GTA, which is great, because it means less are crumbling to dust in the yards of stubborn elderly people or being crushed in wrecking yards. Both of these have been done up in a tasteful fashion that suits the vintage look of the 2002. The second one was mentioned in the Stance Factory post from a few weeks back but the first one may be new to you.

Theme Tuesday: Toyota Soarers part 1

Keeping my current Soarer addiction going one post longer (sorry if you don't like them something different tomorrow) here is a full post dedicated to them. Thanks to reader Magic for sending in a lot of the photos that got this party started. With his help (and a few Club Lexus threads) I have got enough of these cars to span multiple Tuesdays. But before I get ahead of myself lets start with one and see how it goes.

Two down

Two Saturdays ago (I was at the Fleetwood Cruize in) the 2nd anniversary of the first post I ever made for Stance Is Everything came and went. Now over 700 posts deep I am completely amazed at the growth this site/blog has gone through in that time. Writing, shooting, and gathering content for the past two years has lead to new friends, new experiences, and a passion for cars that grows larger by the day and it's really humbling how many of you read, and actively interact with the content via comments, emails and the facebook fan page.

Sky high

You probably remember the photo shoot I posted not all that long ago of a very, very, clean 240sx that had a Soarer hiding in the shadows. Well the twoLITREmedia facebook page alerted me that Emilio recently finished up a full photo shoot of that car and in typical twoLITRE fashion the photos came out awesome and are worth checking out. Clean car, clean stance, clean photos, anything else you could ask for?

Ride Low, Park Lower

I like air ride, I always have and I always will. With a lot of my favorite cars and trucks riding on air I don't really buy into the idea that static is anymore hardcore than air. Take Jeff for example, I heard him scraping his way down the road to Oktoberfest before I saw him and on the way out he didn't raise his car up past stock height as many would assume, he kept it hammered and left the same way he arrived.

WTF Friday: Big Business

I was browsing maxbimmer.com the other day (something I don't do nearly as often as I used to) and came across the latest incarnation of this e30 belonging to member 'Big D'. Historically never one to pussy foot around Big D is looking to unleash all sorts of unholy hell his now s52 powered e30 that recently dynoed at 648whp at 18psi.

Event Coverage: Stretch & Poke 2010 Part 1

As I am sure you are all well aware, from yesterday's teaser coverage courtesy of Elle Marie Photography, the Toronto Wrong Fitment Crew organized an meet in the GTA called 'Poke and Stretch'. Which was Toronto's first meet dedicated to low, clean, cars with aggressive fitment. The weather was great and the atmosphere was awesome no drama, no competition just everyone out because they love cars, everything a good car meet should be.

Stolen Car: Another DC2 Scarborough Area

Just like the last one I hate to post things like this but it's never fun to have your car stolen and the more people that know the better chances you have of hearing something no matter how trivial.
