Bagged

This is big business… The American way

I love long, low, American cars, and by now I am sure you have all realized this. This Cadillac is particularly low and long and I wish I knew more about it but I've got nothing.

      Theme Tuesdays: Audi A3s

Last night I was sorting through my saved images folder and looking at my ever growing list of half started Theme Tuesday posts when I noticed that I had quite a few a3 photos saved for what I thought would be a part two. Which would be all well and good except for the fact that I had yet to do part one...

      Guest Coverage: Eurokracy 2012

Despite the wet weather last years Eurokracy drew quite a crowd proving that European car enthusiasts are not the type to let a little water get in the way of good times and low cars. This year the Eurokracy team started promoting the show six months in advance and once the weather cooperated breaking last years attendance record was no problem at all.

      WTF Friday: Minitruck

It feels like I should have posted this truck before, but from what I can tell I have not. I am probably getting it confused with other small vehicles like a Nash Metropolitan or this 'Postman Pat' car, at any rate this custom truck is pretty damn cool.

Guest Coverage: Nine 0 Five Rides Truck & Tuner Expo 2012

The inability to be in more than one place at a time is starting to become a problem, I had a great time at last years Truck And Tuner Expo and would have liked to attend again this year but I had never been to Grand Bend prior to Sunday so I ended up there instead. However the Nine O Five guys have always been very supportive of the site so there was absolutely no way I was going to let the show go by without some guest coverage and as luck would have it my friend Jon O was close enough to Niagara to head out for a couple of hours.

Event Coverage: Scarborough Scion FR-S Launch

Two Saturdays ago Scarborough Scion (aka the dealership trusting enough to let me test drive an FR-S at Stretch & Poke) had a launch party for the 'Toybaru" inviting Toyota/Scion owners and their friends to come out for good times and good (free) food. The show & shine turnout wasn't crazy but the amount of people who wanted to drive the new Scion was, the cars were out being test driven the entire night by those eager to see what all the hype was about.

      Theme Tuesdays: Duallys Part II

After a cottage bachelor party weekend a little recovery time was in order (hence the lack of Monday post), so this weeks Theme Tuesday gets lead off honors and as such I might as well go with something big. The last dually Theme Tuesday went over very well so I had started pulling together a second almost immediately after.

      The Wheel Estate

After the Hot Wheelz & Tirez customer appreciation show and shine Yudi (aka Kingpin) rolled his car out back so I could get a few additional pictures of his current wheel setup. On the passenger side are the silver polished 19×9 -10/19×10 -6 Leon Hardirtt Waffle wheels you probably remember from his feature and on the drivers side are the similarly sized, previously gold, BBS LMs he had on at Megaspeed.

      Who needs candy?

I had to laugh to myself a little when I saw this van because I knew I had to post it, and I know some of you are going to think it doesn't belong. Truth is, though way before my time, 70 vans have always intrigued me. They are an interesting niche of car culture and from what I've been told 'vanners' are often far more interesting than the vans themselves.

      Theme Tuesdays: Lead Sleds/ Kustoms

Lead Sleds are cars I wish I saw more of first hand, sure I've seen a scattered few at a few Street Classics events but I need more! The fact that only certain cars take really well to this treatment makes them even harder to find. Huge respect to the people still building these cars today, it shouldn't have taken me so long to do this and I plan on making this one more than one part.

      Deux

When I first saw the Mazda 2 at the Canadian International Autoshow in 2010 I saw some potential there thanks to the three cars Mazda brought out. Maybe not potential for everyone but definitely something there for people looking for a small hatch. A couple have popped up online (most notably one on Hella Flush) but I think this might be one of the most modified one in the states right now.

      Featured Ride: Eric’s MKV Rabbit

The last time I was in Pennsylvania I saw a car so poorly modifed that I nearly wrote off the entire state when it came to cars. I know that sounds extreme but that car was quite bad. On the complete opposite side of the coin Eric's Rabbit is quite good and in my eyes does an excellent job of redeeming, and representing for, the entire state.
